Dont think Alpina in Buchloe were building many right hand drive cars if any in 1988 , thats the reason Sytner were given permission to do the conversions in Nottingham , in 1988 you had 2 options , buy your Alpina from Sytner or buy another car and live out the rest of your days wishing you had gone to Sytner 😁

Kids can't relate it on that time. Image that on that time the newest diesels were all naturally aspirated and few years earlier first turbos kicked in... On that year my dad had Y Datsun which had 1.4 engine. And you laugh for this? I laugh for your boys knowledge. Sadge

This is 1988 - the car is a 1988 registration and he mentions that the E34 was launched "this summer". The E34 was launched in the UK in June '88 :)
F111 HCH has been untaxed since April 2011 and it’s last MOT ran out in March 2015 - I hope it’s still alive somewhere!

My 335d certainly would.... but I miss my tuned 535i sport, it was near enough an alpina spec engine in it....
But nowhere near in style, character, driving pleasure, durability and quality like an old ALPINA.
I wouldnt want a car dealer making my car, I'd want it direct from the factory.
