Way more than 4 scenarios, Death Stop, I Hate Mountains, Vienna Calling, 7 hours later, Heaven can Wait, Silent Fear, Silent Hill, etc.. Some of the best ones are the ones made by the community.
Left 4 Dead is one of my favorite games of all time, Valve created a masterpiece, have been playing it since 2009 and even now the game always feels fresh due to the A.I. Director, Wide variety of weapons, all the survivors have unique personalities, love the banter between them , Bill is my favorite 👏👏👏
I love rewatching these old left 4 dead review and how many reviews were unsure on its longevity due to few maps but 4 years on and left 4 dead is still a game i simply love to play. The VS mode made this game ledgendary.
1. Left 4 Dead has been out since Christmas '08. 2. Because it's the same engine as Half Life 2, you can expect to see lots of new maps made by the modding community in the very near future--there are already a lot out now.
L4D is about re-playability because of the AI director being able to change what enemies your gonna fight,items,etc from who your doing in-game. Also your not gonna play through all 4 scenarios, then not play it, your gonna play through it with your friend, play through it a one of the special zombies, etc.
L4D3(if VALVe make it) should return to the dark cities L4D2 left behind making it less scarier.The sequel should be the scariest L4D to date and to make sure that players piss in their pants when they play it,Valve should add these features: 1)City blackouts leaving players almost totally blind when zombies attack 2)On harder difficulties players are started of with little or no ammo at all 3)Tanks pouncing on you from above 4)Make witches harder to hear as well
just stick together is the biggest tip I can give. theres nothing worse than wandering off to get a med pack and getting jumped by a hunter with no one to help you.
Me and my friend are both hyped for getting this game on Christmas. Which makes it an even better purchase since we'll be playing together all the time.
as far as the unbalances in l4d i can only think of 1 example that is survivors corner camping while using melee in versus mode. this unbalance makes it so the survivors take no damage after being attacked by a horde of zombie or any other special infected for that matter which makes it hard for the special infected people like me to actually win the match. they fixed this on the PC version by putting a cooldown/timer but the xbox 360 version is still not fixed.
@Mangoyle These aren't the original fantasy-zombies. These are more realistic zombies that are "turned" with a rabies-like virus. These are certainly zombies, just not the classic types. But I see your point, and I like it!

it's really difficult to not get hurt by normal infected, let alone the special ones.. it's pretty much pure luck if you get it. or you're really, really good. it's the only one i have left too.
Dead Rising on the other hand is crazy, out-of-control action, Saints-Row style. And if you get Dead Rising 2, get Off The Record - You get Frank west, the camera, new content, AND a SANDBOX MODE!! :D Instant buy for the sandbox mode alone :D So again, it's really a question of what interests you more in a Zombie-scenario: Serious Survival or Crazy, Unrealistic fun. Both are excellent games btw.One last thing: L4D is 1st Person and Dead Rising is 3rd Person with RPG elements.Happy choosing! :D
At Gamestop, I picked Crackdown and Elder Scrolls 4, but at the last minute, I swapped Elder Scrolls 4 for Left 4 Dead, I think I didn't make a bad decision.
I don't think that its to short I mean for the pc version there are custom maps and stuff and i'm pretty sure you can get that on the 360 version to, maybe not as soon as the game came out but I'm positive it wouldn't take fans long to make them.
They made people able to walk threw others because when the game was in the test stage, there was a problem with 'griefing' .People would push new players off roofs and such, makes sense and it doesn't really take away from the enjoyment for me any.
He forgot to say Valve made this game and they are pro at giving update on their games. Also they said they will give the map editor soon so that ppl can make their own maps and share them. That make 4 campain + Unlimited amount of user maps + freuent update from valve. I got this game the first day and still not bored from it =D.

This game is only good when you have friends to play it with. When I started playing it, I thought it would be really fun, but I felt that it was too repetitive, even though the Director changes the game around. It was nothing but shoot zombies, go to safe house, defend area until help arrives. They could've made it a bit better.
What I find about L4D that makes it stand out from other post-apoctolyptic zombie future is that there is diffrent types of powerful zombies, making it more then just "shoot every zombie". The boomer would be one to twist up this rule, as it's vomit attracts hordes of zombies. Another thing is the fact that slow-moving zombies here do not exist. They all charge at you, instead of you simply shooting them easily before reaching you. Making it even harder is the tank, a zombie very hard to kill.

The DLC is coming out soon, with Death Toll and Dead Air for versus, and a new gamemode called Survival. Also the SDK so people can make custom maps.

It took us 1h26 minutes on Advanced to beat No Mercy..
and it was AWESOME !

yes u can play, turtle rock studios did a last minute update for this game which turned the requirments waaaaay down.
