- A really cool one here guys... the first interview I have done with my dad since I won the Formula 1 World Championship in Abu Dhabi.
He doesn't usually do TV so this was an awesome opportunity! Our drive around Monaco in our Championship cars was incredible..

Keke Rosberg, probably the coolest man in the world, down to earth, no social media nonsense , as stylish as an Italian art gallery director, I could listen to him all day, Nico get him back on a track day with you in something nice, it would be great to see him race just one more time, from someone old enough to have watched him race first time round. !!! 👏👏👏 😉😉👍👍
Well keke is finnish
He's our Keijo. Real name :D Keke for nickname. Go Finland!
Finnish has that attitude for being straight forward.
@@rockychieng88 just like kimi
The only Rockstar that Finland has ever produced. Long live Keke!!
Father and son, F1 champions, wow
I want to see Nico son winning f1 championship! That would be insane !
I have huge respect for nico despite the obvious advantage of nepotism helping him in his junior career towards F1. He beat Lewis fair and square in his title winning season. Nico also is an intellectual which is fantastic.
@@dv6363 nico doesn't have a son
the only other example is Graeme and Damon Hill I think.
@@wendystwo-for-five why not his daughter?
Nice to hear Keke again, that voice brings back the memories of the 80's. He's the reason there are Finnish F1 drivers now. Without him there were maybe no Häkkinen, Räikkönen, Bottas etc. I might be exaggerating a bit, there were already some guys who got Keke there - but he made the dream real for so many young Finnish drivers.
His mustache was the snow plow that cleared the way for the Finns :)
Keke managed Hakkinen, so probably not an understatement at all
@@Jwm367t he managed both Mika and JJ.
Watching the interview, it's obvious that Keke has done his job as a father admirably well. Parenting done right, comes to mind. It is a case of "Like father, like son," in the sense that the two Rosbergs are obviously gifted racing drivers; in terms of character, I would say, Nico is an upgraded version, a more modern version of his father. More open to social media, trying to inspire change and genuinely caring about the sport that has given him some of the most powerful emotions in his life. Nico trying to get his father to open up about his feelings when Nico was racing was a wonderful moment. Nico's success in a way, is a testament to Keke as a father for letting his son grow into himself, on his own terms. Two different generations, but the respect they have for each other is palpable, and it is such an emotional scene to see a father and son acknowledge each other in the presence of each other. Keke, as one would expect of a Finn, is not very demonstrative, and won't say two words when one will do; and Nico is more expressive. Different as they may, both Rosbergs ooze class; a wonderful dynasty in Formula 1 history. Thank you Nico, for such exclusive insight. God bless you and your family.
You have wrote exactly the same feeling which I have for them..!! Spot on comment..!!
Real pleasure to watch this, especially for the reasons you give.
Love Keke. Used to work with him on the ICI Sports Promotion when he was F1 World Champion and I remember when Nico was born. The comments here referring to Keke being a great guy are 100% right. One of the most influential people in my life, still, after all these years when I would photograph him and even sometimes drive him at events, including one time in Megeve in the snow when he taught me some ice driving! Lovely video, lovely memories, well done Nico.
Wonderful life you´ve led!
Congrats!
How cool is that!
I remember Keke interview in finnish TV back in 1998. I don't remember what the reported asked him, but Keijo answered "I don't know what e-mail is and I don't care what e-mail is, I have an assistant who deals with that kind of crap"
Keke seems like a really really nice person, super sympathetic :D Great to see you together with Brundle ;D
10:00 making the emphasis on the aerodynamics under the car; Nico predicted this perfectly
Even though Keke has spent so much time abroad, he's "finnishness" still clearly shines through, especially when next to Nico. 8)
How so? I don’t really know about Finnish culture.
@@SelfImprovement1111 his accent is still very finnish
Loved the casual vibe of this interview, really well done. You should drag the old man out more often Nico!
And I think Keke is really the reason the vibe goes like that. He's like this CEO who made his own fortune with hard work - so he's with the cigars, gold chains and watch, and the darkened expensive sun glasses, yet you can expect he could anytime start cursing like a harbor jack, to get things done. He enjoys to lean on the results of his business, but he's not afraid of the hard work to earn it.
Love Keke, Finalnds first F1 driver/champion... so proud of him here, he was ahead of hes time... such a nice interview, history!
For a man that was said to not like being on camera, he was actually pretty chill and cool too. Cheers for getting Papa Rosberg on tape, Nico! Would love to see more of him. Perhaps him telling us some of his favorite stories or memories from his racing days
What an amazing family
I could listen to the 3 of you talk for hours! I REALLY enjoyed that! Nico - you're lucky to have one of the coolest dads in the world!
F1 drivers in the 80s was truly daredevils
More Keke on channel please!
Przemysław Jan if keke feels like it
Keke from my understanding absolutely hates being on camera
Nico did mention that Keke has an aversion to social media, when they were going to Germany to celebrate the Audi victory. That vlog has just one shot of Keke, where you can just see his back.
To guys telling that Keke hates camera and social media.. He looks more comfortable with the camera than Nico and he is the best F1 pilot/speaker i have ever heard. So much experience etc..
Przemysław Jan when Nico 1st started his vlogs there were a few times he was with his father and keke would not come on camera as Nico said he hated it
Nico was onto something with the aero moving under the car.
Promise to make more original video's with your dad, Nico. You are such a powerful team together. Like father like son, so beautiful and timeless.
What a wonderful father and son, I miss my Dad
david watson Your Dad's with You always Bro.
@@pitchblack3205 such a nice thing to say man respect ♥️
Nico is a gentleman, just like his father.....who is my all-time favourite driver .... against all odds to become world champion in 1983.......loved watching him 😀
It's so nice to see you both in an interview. Big fan of both of you.
Martin Brundle is one the best sports commentator ... great depth of knowledge in F1 and able to present it to the viewers in a way that makes you become a fan of formula 1
this is a fantastic video/interview. It shows why Nico is such a nice, humble and well balanced person who walked away from his sport at the time he did. It's because his father is a nice, humble and well balanced person who brought his son up with the same values. Nico should be so proud of his parents, who made him into the respectable person he is now. Well done Rosbergs, of both generations.
Honestly such a nice guy and family.
Finally interview with Rosberg's!
Just unbelievable to be able to see father and son F1 world champions. Just the thought that two world champions came from one family
Just to think, Keke might have never been champion in '82 if it hadn't been for the tragic loss of Gilles, which denied us another pair of father/son champions.
@@colehartel7206 and Didier Pironi broke his legs, and missed his last 5 races.
Keke is a wise man, took very smart and classy decisions. Good interview.
Keke seems like really intelligent guy and a great father
Frank Williams once said:"Keke is the smartest driver who has ever raced for us."
Nico predicted the future - in 2022 they are doing exactly what he suggested and simplifying the aero to allow for closer racing.
This is so touching, lovely to see your father really being a proud father, so much more than just a racing driver.
Loved this! I'm relatively new to F1 and don't know much about Keke but boy what an impression he made on me! Wish he was my dad, great guy!
Ha!!! "Make the downforce from under" Nico predicted 2022! 🙂
11:01 😂 That's the way it should be. Not "we were" but " I WAS" 😀
It should be ''we were''.
As Keke mentioned, it now takes a huge team of people to get those cars out on the circuit. "We" is much more accurate these days.
Now I realise Nico foretold the rule changes for 2022 👀
Nice to see 2 great F1 pilots together and they are from the same family!!! Congratulations Nico for the amazing interview with your father You made part of the history of F1!
I’m glad Nico became world champion, he deserved it. A great driver with an amazing career in F1. Glad he is in the history books with Keke
'Letting go at the right moment ' That's that !
So happy Martin could join you two for the interview. Great combo!
It’s such a blessing to see father and son getting along like best friends
Wonderful to see an interview with you both, especially for younger fans like myself who never got to see Keke race it's really cool to hear him talk about his experiences and how he sees Nico's career and how he sees him now. Such a cool guy, please tell him thank you Nico!
I loved watching your dad race. He described it perfectly. Around or through but he was so amazing in his ability and style. A great contrast to your smooth yet forceful style. Two great drivers. Thanks for sharing.
Two legends of the sport together. Legends. From your days in the lower formulas to the pinnacle I have loved watching you drive Nico. You drove with a class and style many of the other drivers of today could learn from. If there is a F1 hall of fame you too should be first admissions. I have watched your dad and the man was pure raw but wow! Great to see this interview and all the best to you too gents and your family. Peace brother.
The best vlog you've done so far Nico, thats what's it's all about kid. Family the most important thing in the world... Brilliant....
What a fantastic, chilled out interview between Keke, Nico and Martin. Remebering the glory days of F1. Very interesting and relaxing to watch.
2:23 'and it's not what it's all about, it's about spending weekends with your boy and having a good time' Very true words Keke. A lot of sports dads, at football or karting or whatever, take it too damn seriously and forget that more than anything you should make sure you're having fun together and your kid is enjoying it.
It seems like too many now are so obsessed with the end goal of becoming professional that they sacrafice having a good time with their kid which is a shame. Keke seems like such a wonderful dad.
Best youtube video i've ever seen. Nico, you're lucky to have such a wise and great father!
One of the better race-related interviews I've seen in a while. Keke adds a nice dimension and has some great insight. More of you two together, please!
Nico's question to them all aged very well
Wow! What a group!! Martin, !Your dad! And You! That was a feast for sore eyes! Once again thank you all for that!
Thanks you both for doing this. We've really enjoyed the chance to see you both together talking. Just wanted to say how happy we both were when you took the title. Please know that here in the UK there are many many of us who were supporting you over the years and wishing you the win. Enjoy this next stage of your life, enjoy your family and thank you for the years of entertainment you gave us and for letting us share the final pleasure of winning the championship. You have a lot of fans here in England. The combination of great driving and being a gentleman. Cheers
Really a treat for us to get content like this from you here as well as the vlogs - great work by you, super sebby and all involved in the channel. Really appreciate it, inspiring!
Einfach nur toll. Nico ist so bodenständig und nett. Toller Typ
What a great perspective from Keke, as a father, regarding Nico's career
Thank You Nico!! I enjoyed that! God Bless You and your Father!!
Great to see the extended version, very interesting insight from 3 F1 legends - thanks for sharing!
9:45 Nico basically just described the new 2022 cars before they were a thing
Thought the same thing
Zwei Legenden! 👍🏁
Danke für die coolen Videos Nico!
F1- Boxenstopp hey du hier👌🏻

Olli-Pekka Pauna 😂👌🏻🤣🔝 stimmt
You guys had very relaxed feeling and video was super enjoyable. Nice to see finnish/german f1 stars finally together. Nico, please keep uploading cool videos.
oh god, this is soo damn good to see you both and Brundle was ice on cake , you guys are amazing
Brilliant - its about personal accomplishment vs greed. Well done Keke in both your career and your job as a parent. Nico carry it forward, as you have done awesome so far!
What a fantastic video, great to see your dad again and seeing him be so proud of you too.
Great interview , Keke was thrill to watch. His Formula Atlantic days really got me interested to follow his career.
Thank you Nico. As someone who followed Formula One since before your Dad's time and who routed for you against Lewis, it was a true pleasure to see you together. Best wishes to all!
One of best interviews I have seen in my life. Fantastic.
Keke was and is so amazingly cool guy. Videos of him smoking, that long hair and Ray-Bans in the 80's... amazing. Cool as Steve McQueen. And it's an absolute disgrace that there is no footage of that Keke's Silverstone world record lap.
Keke is prolly the coolest driver F1 ever had. Heroe.
How can you not love listening to these two. Very cool guys. And both so brilliant.
And they clearly are very close.
Loved seeing the. Lao of world champions videos in Monaco. The Williams just up and kicked off like it'd only raced the day before. And the Mercedes.... Well behaved like a Mercedes.
So good to see this.
You've cheered up a old school racing fan.
thx Nico for that video. You are a really nice guy and one of the world greatest racers ever. All the best for your future!
To me, this was very emotional interview.
Simple, sweet and short, yet I got so much from that interview, great job Marty lol. Keke is such an impressive man and father, I could listen to him all day, legend. Nico, does what he needs to do in life with great success too. There is just something magnetic about Keke, cool as ice.
Keke Rosberg is my first F1 hero. So much entertainment Keke gave. I thank him.
i wish i had half the moments u have with ur dad.i lost mine at 14 years old and i remember him always sick.Enjoy him nico.He will not be here forever
Fabulous Interview and a lovely insight into the relationship between father and son.
What a top man Keke seems to be. Always loved his balls out racing and his car control was fantastic. Looks like he has done an even better job as a Dad. Respect.
FANTASTIC. Love listening to Keke; he's a real character. And always a champion.
I feel super sad for Damon (Hill) watching this.. He never got the chance
And what a interview that would have been if Graham was still with us. Graham making jokes... And Damon well being Damon. I'm sure his dad would be proud.
@@memorialled_zeppelin-warew1346 Well, if Graham was still alive today he'd be 92. He would have been 67 when Damon won his title in 1996. Graham Hill was actually (slightly) older than Stirling Moss.
*"If I don´t get by, I go Through!"*
One of the toughest drivers in the era of: "Men are Men, we Race not Drive! So we wear BIG balls (and perhaps some facial hair)". The best era in my mind..,
TX Keke!
What a great interview .. Two legendary drivers and humble World Formula1 champions .. Cheers
Very few F1 drivers and champions, will be able to have these opportunities, to talk about their father and son experiences, and to enjoy a couple of laps in a F1 CAR in Monaco. WOW
Right on Keke! Definetly the right choice about interviews. 8 years of silence has made Nico more famous now! Pojasta polvi paranee!
Great to see your dad. Loved his driving style. And of course the moustache is mega!
Very nice to see your dad nico I grew up watching and cheering for him👍
Thanks for sharing this. Saw the original interview on SkyF1 but this had more footage. Nice one.
Awesome content as always Nico, good to see your dad on the channel! 👍
Awesome, Awesome interview!! A pleasure to watch.🤗
Nico and Keke strike me as being honest and straightforward people, rare stuff for professional sportsmen. Congrats.
Beautiful Dad and Beautiful Son, Great and Quality People.
I just love your channel mate! You are awesome! And I love the way you say V-log for Vlogs. 😁👍
Nico I love your channel keep doing what you do. I will watch!
Great interview. Your dad was and is a legend.
Yea that was nice , good to see and hear Keke , a great racer as is his son Nico , a fine interview
More original video's with Keke and/or Mika Hakkinen please.
Thanks Nico, It was awesome watching you and Keke talking. If you could do more of that it would be great. Cheers.
Great interview, I was always a a big fan of your Dad

Fantastic interview. Thanks for this.
Great interview MB, total respect to Keke, Nico did the job too, what’s not to be happy about.
2021, Nico absolutely called it with the ground effects in new cars lol
It is so great listen, when wise people are talking about important things.
Thank you, very nice for every F1 Fan! A Highlight on RUclips, Nico!
