I'm a guy. There are Bowl games on and I'm here watching Catlin Clark.
I rarely watched any college women’s sports before Clark came along. I don’t miss a single Iowa game now. She is unreal.
She reminds me of Larry Bird, smart, great shooter, great passer, competitive, scrappy hustler makes everyone around her better.
I agree...I said that first few times I saw her play...it's so amazing n g...Larry Bird amazed me too...I hope she goes on to WNBA...it's time!

I love the fact Caitlin still chooses to dish out plenty of assists as much as she can carry her team in scoring every game she's available. Iowa's been winning alot of their games fairly easily. I can't wait to see how well they'll play during the NCAA tournament in March.
She may be the best shooter I've ever seen. And such a complete player. It's just unbelievable what she's doing.
I love watching her play.

Caitlin great game glad two of her teammates helped scoring in double digits. Iowa won rather easily I thought it'd be more competitive. Another great win final game of 2023 for Iowa.
Iowas Bigs need to establish more presence in the paint. They’ve only been a perimeter shooting team thus far & need to take one last big step forward with Stuelke, Goodman & O Grady

Caitlin exists in a different basketball world than anyone else. She's the best pure shooter in all of college basketball... and her passing is just as good. When I say 'all of college basketball' I mean men and women. She can catch and shoot... and dribble and shoot from anywhere on the floor. I haven't seen one male player do that for a long, long time. They're mostly catch and shoot now. No one can dribble and shoot.
I would say most of the NBA also from a shooting perspective.

I'm not worried. She prevented Mara Braun from scoring 30 points. That's a huge contribution to Iowa. She did what she was assigned to do really well.

@caseyclausen2627 well when the hawkeyes go to the championship this year they need her to do more than play defense, way too many open looks missed.
It was unlikely the gophers were going to beat them regardless but the effort, especially early on, was extremely disappointing. The defensive shape was alright but the effort on rebounds and pace was extremely poor. They are good enough to win a fair amount of B10 games but not if they don't want to play hard.
I know Clark is on a different level, but dang, why not chase her off the 3pt line and force her to get 2ptrs instead?

@@ammocan2796 no she's not. She wants to play with the best. The best is in the WNBA. She will not lose any NIL contracts and her new shoe from Nike will be coming out. Maybe the WNBA will still be a bust, but she won't and neither will the team that gets her. Plus the television contracts that will be sold to air the games will help. She has a huge following, her fans will follow.

A bunch of 3 pointers becomes boring to watch for the game of basketball. this hybrid offense agitates me so much because it's not a real indication of how good a team is because you're not really well...competing against the opponent. With the team like Iowa, you don't double Clark, you let her get her points and shut down everyone else. Teams are doubling her and not realizing for one, she's gonna jack up shots out of the range of traditional defense and you're only opening up more opportunities for teammates.
Michigan had a more impressive win today against Ohio State, now that was a EARNED win.
You are exactly right. Trying to stop Clark from scoring makes everyone else on Iowa better than they are because Clark will give them easy buckets. You have to swallow the 40 pill Clark will lay on you and shut everyone else out.

It's today's game. I don't like the shot clock or the 3 pointer. It changed the game from strategical basketball into a race to beat the clock. It ain't basketball. But here we are. Caitlin would do well in any situation though. She's generational.

Really? Minnesota came into this game 11-1, only loss was to UCONN. Plus, the Hawks were up 30 before Bluder started putting in all the subs.
