His guitar sounds seriously awesome.
The Gibson power
Hey man! Do you know which Gibson guitar Chris is specifically using?
If I'm not mistaken it's a Gibson Hummingbird Pro Non-Cutaway.
J-185 2011
Yep! It's a J-185
Tutorials are mad helpful! Thank you so much and praise God for your ministry. I will be praying for you guys that God will continue to lead you and bless you to do great things for His glory!

Dude, THANK YOU so much for this super helpful tutorial! The low G# as the bass note for the C# chord is something new I learned. That was money :) This will help me play for this Sunday! Thanks again for the awesome songwriting and guitar skills :)

Could you please make a tutorial for Do it again
My kids are gonna use for this for song competition. Can we?
if you haven't, could you please do a guitar tutorial on Jesus I come. Thank you!!
Jess Thompson they have posted a video with all the chords, you could probably just search for "jesus i come elevation worship guitar"
He looks a lot like the guitarist on Worship Online
I don't know how to do chords or whatever, I only know how to read the tabs. If anyone can help me out with that I would really really appreciate it. It's hard for me to see the placement of his fingers lol
On the videos that I have seen, Chris is playing it differently on acoustic. Are you tuned differently when you play it like that? Would you consider posting a tutorial of that version? thanks!
I prefer to play it in this tuning, "C# G# C# F# G# C#" or simply just tune your guitar in half-step down then tune the "Bb Eb" to "G# C#". There's a tutorial on how to play the chords, Just search the "Here As In Heaven Acoustic Guitar Tutorial". The usage of chords are just the same.
Hope it helps! God bless you dude!
This is how it's done!
hi guys what is the strumming pattern?
Whats Achords?
Is it bad it's taken me 4 months to get down these chords?
Anyone here in 2024?
What time is this played in? Im having a hard time picking up the strumming pattern.
Its in 4/4
+Isaiah Gallardo thanks! Have any tips on strumming patterns?
+Tara Wasser i play guitar for my church and the best advice i could give is to just play along to the song as many times as you need to until you feel comfortable... Everyone has preferences on strumming so i dont want to tell you exactly how! Just make sure youre putting the chords with the correct words and you'll be fine! :)
What's the model of your gibson acoustic Chris?
+Eivind Rosales looks like a gibson sj200 or the j200.
Is the strum pattern down down down down up down up down down down up?
dud d dudud du
the strumming pattern is?
dud d dudud du
what is the strumming pattern?
Literally same
dud d dudud du
I am really confused with strumming! Advise me plz
+SP riseshineset you can strum whatever is comfortable for you just keep the timing. It's not necessary to copy the way he strum. You can play it in any pattern the most important is the timing. i hope it can help!God bless.
I suggest you focus on timing of the strumming instead of the strumming. And just have a feel for it feel the rythem keeping in mind the timing

Hey Chris! Can you please tell me the specific model/name of your Gibson guitar? It has the shape of an SJ200, but the rest looks like a Hummingbird Pro.... It'd be awesome if you could let me know. This is the only model I want, because the others have all sorts of decorations. Thanks, man!
It is a J-185 2011
Hey thanks man! Seems like you're absolutely right! I have no idea why I hadn't found that model, the J185...
Do you know if those are out of production today???
Anyways! Thanks a lot for your comment... I checked out some of your covers, pretty good! Liked how you played all of the instruments on This is Amazing Grace (that song is awesome by the way). Which Taylor do you use in that video?
I don't know any recent models that came out. But I think they stopped at 2012 production so you will most likely have to find a guitar center or mom and pop shop that sell used ones.
Mmmm... Interesting because this video is from 2016 so I'm wondering if Chris is using the same guitar he had back in 2011-12.
How did you know it was specifically a J-185 from 2011???
And also do you know any good "mom and pop" shop ONLINE for this??
it's probably a J-185, you can find one a lot like Chris's here ---> www.dawsons.co.uk/gibson-j-185-red-spruce-electro-acoustic-guitar
I don't think normal people (especially guys) can sing in the key of D flat . Maybe like playing in key of A would be nice.
I played in C the other night and it went pretty well
