I was very excited but after your video and the one that Michele Wang did, I don't think I wanna buy anymore. I live in Brazil and right now, 1 dolar is about 5,40 reais, so it's REALLY expensive for me. As a fan and a colector, I was intrigued. But I think I will skip, nothing seems to justify the price. Better buy Laura Mercier's or even Chanel.
Great review .I was so worried listening to other reviews, I bought three blushes, rose ombré, Rose tan and Rose plume. I also got the three lip enhancers, Rose tan, Rose apricot and Rose D’ete Also got the big brush. They arrived few days ago I just love the blushes, they are soft and silky and the lip enhancers also are beautiful!!

Great review! After watching a review that talked about the compact 'quality and that there were refills available, i bought several refill shades. It's still a lot of money, but i like the silky feeling and matte-ish color, and ease of blending. I thought the two pinks looked similar on my cheeks too, but I'll try a different blush as you suggested. Right now rose pommette is my favorite. It reminds me of a favorite blush i had a long time ago, that i loved down to the last literal crumb and couldn't find a replacement for...until now.
I love rose pommette! The blush itself is amazing and even the compact isn't bad... it's maybe not as bulky as I'd like, but not really not worse than a typical compact :) xx

I was excited about these blushes too, and purchased the Rose Ombré, which I already received, and the Rose Feu, which is coming, along with the Rose Tan lip enhancer. Personally, I don’t mind the packaging, and find the design sleek and modern. It may not be weighty, but I still think it’s elegant, and the blush itself is beautiful. The only thing that bothers me is that they glued the pan in, when it’s supposed to be refillable. I probably won’t need to purchase a refill anyway, but for the price, it should’ve been done correctly. I’ve heard that the long brush is made of goat hair, while the short travel brush is synthetic. Hope that helps! Btw, I see that Pat McGrath is coming out with a line of blushes, and they look stunning!

I have the blushes and watching you apply them I realize I may need to order the Hermes brush. It just seems to apply it like a cloud 👍🏻 Very, very pretty on you.
I feel like Hermes only intended the refills to be replaced once the blush is used up. So it's not for people to save money (get only one full compact set and switch multiple refills), but for people to have as much compacts as the color of the blushes.
I agree! I wouldn't want to keep switching out the refill anyhow, that sounds like too much work lol The glue won't matter as much in that situation :) xx

Disappointed with Hermes. Felt like this was done for a quick money grab. Plastic packaging that feels cheap, a refill that's glued in and not magnetic. Even the brush is disappointing as Elf makes softer brushes than this. What!!! So so disappointed with Hermes.
From what I've read, Hermes plans to continue rolling out beauty so I wouldn't say it's a quick money grab. Plus they have refillable packaging so they're in it for the long road. Of course, not everything is for everyone and it's better to save your money for something you truly love :) xx
Hi Erin. I enjoyed this review. This is a long reply but I am saddened by what some have called a review-not you, others;and I don’t think they have judged Hermès as they have not judged others. I’m glad you brought up the comparaison to Chanel:they are $45 for 6g. of product and are not refillable. It too is glued in and very difficult to get out. You can purchase the refill of Hermès 6g. of product for $48 and magnet tape. All of the refills are at Hermès;and all eight are beautiful. The blushes are mineral powder. They apply and wear beautifully on my dry, dehydrated, mature skin and they look more beautiful as the day goes on too, radiant, luminous. They apply and stay true to color. The scent is Arnica, Sandalwood, and Green Tea and was developed by in -house Hermès perfumer, Christine Nagel. All three are welcomed ingredients for lupus’ skins, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. I learned from Sean K’s You Tube post that it is the intention of Beauty Director, Jérôme Touron to address skincare in their color line. I welcome that with open arms. Regarding the brushes: The travel brush is synthetic and made in China. The more expensive brush is goat bristle fibre and made in France. The much talked about gold and white Clam Shell Case was designed by Pierre Hardy, Hermès Creative Director of Fine Jewelry. I read that he designed it for “the every day woman”. I don’t know if you remember a few years ago BYTERRY took a lot of heat for the blush contact being too heavy; so, I have to wonder if there is no way to win this particular argument. It was also meant to be Sustainable so I think the component parts break down easier. I also have to wonder if there’s a lot of hate directed at very expensive brands. My personal opinion is divided on the subject because I do travel quite a bit and I like to travel with a lot of my make up. It makes my bags very heavy! So, I like the weight of this compact. The rationale I find a little baffling is why they used glue. (Further, I’m completely mystified why they Put the key in the refill instead of the compact,but I digress). I bought magnet tape from Amazon a few years ago because of my makeup habit and weight of my bags-it’s easier to place on magnetized palettes:mix&match according to my eye. So, the weight of the compact is a ridiculous argument to me personally. I don’t like compacts in general for that reason. Oh!! You’re not going crazy either regarding the Selfridges prices and the site. In fact when the refills first appeared on the site they were US$39, then $44.00. I just looked-they have now disappeared. At U.S. retailers, they have been US$48 so the compact is US$29. I read in your comments where someone posted that some of the price for Selfridges is dependent on exchange rates of the dollar to the pound which is true. (I also read that it has taken a hit since Brexit which is not true- 2013-present: it’s average has been around 1.3 GBP/USD which is the multiplier British brands use to charge set their prices in the U.S.-at least before Covid.) I think you have done one of the best job reviewing fairly. No one else has bothered to wear them for any amount of time. One person I greatly respect said they were nothing special and could be replaced by something for a lot less. That is not true. Hermès invested a lot into very good skin care ingredients that I have not seen in Chanel or Laura Mercier. So, I hope people will treat them fairly and not worse because they are Hermès.

I honestly don't mind the packaging either, I only point out that they are a bit lighter for the sake of being thorough, I have no regrets about picking them up. It surprises me that they've been met with so much tough criticism when brands like Tom Ford still receive high praise. I always check Selfridges and retailers here to see who has the lowest price, taxes (because I paid no taxes on my U.K. orders until this last order (🤷🏻♀️) for all brands and then if there are shipping costs for me (usually no, bc of Global shipping or “ShopRunner”). I think the market will make the decision. If there is a lot of product left over, then maybe they will revisit the issues as to why.If not, tout est Bon! I agree w/you regarding Tom Ford. I struggle to make them work and only own three-for that reason. The Hermès go on beautifully and wear beautifully. They have ingredients that like my skin. Only time and the market will tell. 💌
You think if they could buy magnetic closure, they would have magnetic pans as well! The refills aren't even magnetic so you'll have to use magnet stickers in order to put them in an empty palette.
Shiseido does refills with the glue already on them, so when you pop in a new one it just adheres really easily. So they will probably be like that if and when you replace one.

I bought one color and am slightly disappointed in the lack of weight in packaging and the fragrance is a little strong for me. My skin isn't sensitive to fragrance but my trigeminal nerve is to scent. I am still able to wear it though. The look of the packaging is stunning and I love the color I got and love how silky they are. I don't feel the need for the brushes even though they are so pretty. I love the look of the full sized brush but I have many brushes and heard it is a little scratchy. I have many hand made Japanese brushes so I am spoiled. I am also glad the lip enhancer was sold out when I tired because I absolutely hate perfume smell in my lip products. Food scents like mint, vanilla, cake, etc is fine. But I don't want to taste perfume. Also, those colors always end up as Barbie pink on my lips and I would want the coral color. I am satisfied but no desire to buy anymore. This was my first toe dip into the brand. You look stunning as always!!

Perhaps the “refills” could be easier if you glue a magnet 🧲 on the back and put it into a palette. Even this would not be great as a high priced luxury product it should be easy to swap the finish blush with the refill...But I guess that’s another option? Eh

Not Hermes my blushes & lipstick rolling around ,boxes bent on the tips!! Too expensive To be packed in just a plain white delivery box expected more from them felt as if I went to a store & the sales associate just threw the items @ me

At best I think this entire release is badly thought out. At worst it is a money grab from a brand that just wants to sell makeup to a consumer who wouldn't buy a handbag but still wants the Hermes name.
I really like the blushes, brushes and lipsticks so I'm happy with the brand overall but it's interesting to hear different opinions! I think you could make the same argument about Tom Ford, Chanel, Dior etc. The beauty is more accessible even though it's a luxury brand. The blush refills are $48 which is really reasonable compared to TF at $64, not refillable. If they fix the magnets on the refills I think that will make a big difference! xx

Shiseido does refills with the glue already on them, so when you pop in a new one it just adheres really easily. So they will probably be like that if and when you replace one.

I bought one color and am slightly disappointed in the lack of weight in packaging and the fragrance is a little strong for me. My skin isn't sensitive to fragrance but my trigeminal nerve is to scent. I am still able to wear it though. The look of the packaging is stunning and I love the color I got and love how silky they are. I don't feel the need for the brushes even though they are so pretty. I love the look of the full sized brush but I have many brushes and heard it is a little scratchy. I have many hand made Japanese brushes so I am spoiled. I am also glad the lip enhancer was sold out when I tired because I absolutely hate perfume smell in my lip products. Food scents like mint, vanilla, cake, etc is fine. But I don't want to taste perfume. Also, those colors always end up as Barbie pink on my lips and I would want the coral color. I am satisfied but no desire to buy anymore. This was my first toe dip into the brand. You look stunning as always!!

Thank you for your review. But there is no way I would buy these products. It’s so unnecessary considering what I pay for purses and scarves. They need to stay out of cosmetics area

Perhaps the “refills” could be easier if you glue a magnet 🧲 on the back and put it into a palette. Even this would not be great as a high priced luxury product it should be easy to swap the finish blush with the refill...But I guess that’s another option? Eh

Not Hermes my blushes & lipstick rolling around ,boxes bent on the tips!! Too expensive To be packed in just a plain white delivery box expected more from them felt as if I went to a store & the sales associate just threw the items @ me

At best I think this entire release is badly thought out. At worst it is a money grab from a brand that just wants to sell makeup to a consumer who wouldn't buy a handbag but still wants the Hermes name.
I really like the blushes, brushes and lipsticks so I'm happy with the brand overall but it's interesting to hear different opinions! I think you could make the same argument about Tom Ford, Chanel, Dior etc. The beauty is more accessible even though it's a luxury brand. The blush refills are $48 which is really reasonable compared to TF at $64, not refillable. If they fix the magnets on the refills I think that will make a big difference! xx
I will only purchase 1 blush. The price is so ridiculous and not so special colors.😩
At least then you'll know if you like the formula and later you can always purchase a refill if you desire :) xx
