You know I know barely anything at all about psytrance sound design. (If not sound design itself) but to me, this is some absolute big brain way to create an interesting sound holy shit. (Yes I am high)
Another way I have found to help emphasize the fundamentals in resampled wavetables is to go into the wavetable editor and add the "frequency filter" modifier tab, and just make sure it's set all the way open, letting all the frequencies through, and turn on the normalize button. This makes every frame in the wavetable normalized (rather than just normalizing the loudest frame of the entire table). This doesn't [seem to] boost the high end as much as the compressor does, and sounds cleaner to my ear.
Thanks for this. Maybe just arrange the chopped renders over several tracks to create melody. I think it provides more visualisation and control. No sampler track needed.
thanks for always been helping us with these lessons. wish you could share more of serum stuff as well. i learned a lot from you. greetings from brazil mate
Hey Glitch, would be really dank if you could make a video just like this but in Bitwig. The grids in this one is absolutely killer it'd be great content bro
So much helpful... was searching this kind of video from months... I now just need to master this technique and learn how to use it the way my really requires it to be
Try changing LFO 1 to 4 seconds. Then right click on osc 2 when you select resynthesize preset to wavetable. I don't think that's what he did here, but it got me close.
I bought Cubase 11 last year and I have the dongle. I'm a Psytrance producer. Would you recommend the new update to Cubase 12? My question is do you need cubase connected to the internet Everytime you open the program? Since it isn't using a dongle anymore... By the way it matters because a few of my vst software is cracked.
Hey Dash I just started watching your cool videos and I have an Issue at 2,29 what are you doing that you not show when you are resynthtesizen OSC1. When I rightclick the waveform at OSC1, I can choose "resynthesize preset to wavetable" and then the name on OSC 2 changes to resynthesize but it does not sound cool as yours, and your OSC 2 still have the name Init. Can you please tell me what Im doing wrong
Please elaborate, or watch one of the beginner vital videos as sometimes I brush over the super basic stuff and people who aren’t advanced get confused 🤷♂️
@@DashGlitch on 2:28 your init changes to the wavetable, i right click osc2 and click that option, but nothing else happens, maybe a bit more saw-y looking triangle shape which sounds quite trash, so if there is any other additional step before that, i have no idea what you did, 3 other people had the sane happened, that's why i came to this conclussion.
If you're wondering what happened at 2:25-ish - right-click and "Resynthesize Preset to Wavetable"
3:40 - I finally know how the old dial up modem sound was made

this video is so good it needed two intros! Thanks for sharing all your great ideas
That’s excellent!! Wow one never stops learning and I’ve learnt a whole bunch watching your ace videos thanks man
too good dude, im blown away... can't believe it!
Interesting process. Thanks for sharing. I don't use the resyth enough but I see you and Databroth doing it all the time.
Love it!! Gonna try this technique with a bit less fundamental harmonics for some ultra glitchy resampled percussion.

this dude videos are crazy
such quality in your tuts, amazing. getting all the knowledge for vital from this tuts
That was wild. It took a minute to get there, but, it turned a wild mess into something pretty awesome

😀 Wonderful :D :D :D Thank You I just blown by all the wonderful tutorials so wonderful best wishes

you can browse through his old videos. Pretty much any tutorial before the release of vital was using serum.
@@amygdalos96 yeah i saw and learned a lot with him...just because i unfortunetly dont have this plugin .
@@archdelic If you mean vital -> it's free :D
@@amygdalos96 Yes i just found out today with a friend that has is
I'm starting to really understand how powerful vital's resynthesize to wavetable feature is.
Wow! Many thanks for this interesting tutorial Dash!
I'm going to fire up Grossbeat to do some glitching with these Vital generated sounds.

Sounds Great!
Nice inspiration
Powerful!
Love your vids bro. Thank you.
You could try rift lite with the midi mode and draw in midi notes to tune each hit, making it a bit more melodic as well.
dope
very cool
jeez you are so fast
Great stuff. Going to use this for the next track. :)
Your awesome 🙌 thank you so much 🙏
So I've been trying to do this @2:29 but it's not working can you explain ?
The second wavetable is not working
I have the same problem did you find out what to do, why nothing happens when turn on second wavetable

@@dannysturtevant4003 Thanks its better but still not the same cool sound
Great video
Nice 😎👍🏻
nice technique :) i use a similar method in ableton
Great tutorial, which version of cubase do you use?
i have stutter edit2....i think it will do some kind of thing like the infiltrator
but honestly, i dont get this plug in yet
this totally makes the daisies flow. When is the next dose of psy production vids.

You can go up to 30 days in between syncs afaik
Theres a random thing in the bottom corner
No need to freeze a random lfo
if you want more than 1 random value per note-on then you do
@@DashGlitch true, you can now get FIVE random LFOs!!!!
this did not work for me at all after trying this... my resynth to wavetable just sounds like a saw with virtually no real harmonic changes?
the modulations are applied and speed is not frozen?

Wondering the same
In a way is so unique and amazing what wr have in thr box but in another this have no soul ..just technical shit
this is just information, the soul is to be added by you
I was following until Infiltrator. That's when I lost it.
Searching through comments i came to the conclussion that you literally skipped the most important part of the sound
