Hello anybody, I just bought one xenon conversion kit HID HB3(9005) 55 Watt for my new mazda 5 (Sweden). I saw your film on youtube and thought that it shouldn't be problem:) I connect all things and start engine on highlights and nothing happened. have cars computer control output or input current? Best regards Tomasz
I'd not use 55 watt system for your low beams. 35 is all you need. 55 creates too much load on the system and runs too hot and can create issues in the future. Plus it can be illegal in your area due to light output that can blind drivers.
sigor2011 Thank you for answer. Is something in the car control system that cut off output to halogen(HID) lamp where is too much current? In my situation xenon don't light at all. It should be best to have 35 Watt ballast to test.
Fyi. You are supposed to take off the white plastic ring and roll back the red rubber gasket to ensure a waterproof seal on the bulb.
Not sure what do you mean. The seal is very good the way it is, it has been about a year now and no issue with fogging or water.
Did you actually use packaging tape for an electrical application?! I hope you put a fire extinguisher in your car as your next mod.
ew2 nothing but the best. After video I put electrical tape though.

Hi, did you need to purchase the optional harness, or was the car's electrical output enough to ignite the lights?
No special harness was needed.
So far everything works well.
Awesome, thanks!
very helpful, thanks
