Learn the notes and strings first. I've met people who can play songs but don't know what notes they are playing. If you want to master guitar, then learn the notes on the fret board. Trust me, if you're serious about guitar, it's worth it.

good tutorial but she doesn't do open B on the 3rd part of the riff on the end. she does 12th fret on the B string at the very end. I found that out while messing around with the riff to make it sound accurate

I heard how she plays it, it sounds like she's playing open B. It makes it easier to transition to 5th freat D string anyways

Cryptonical Cryptonical i practiced on the 12th string already. Then i heard it and matched it on my guitar with the open B. If you look at 0:21 on her NME performance, her pinky isn't near the B string at all. But to each their own. Whatever sounds better :)
