    It's about time a DC-DC charger is available for these Power Stations. Using the 12V socket in your vehicle to charge them is just painfully too slow. What they need now to be truly an alternative to a built-in 12V auxiliary system, are a couple of Anderson Plug inputs for power (not just for solar charging).

      Yep, your spot on mate, this is a game changer over the 12v car socket charger!

      The Ecoflow is far better, with 800W charging even when not driving and the engine ticking over at idle.

      @Globetrotter-1 I haven't tested the ecoflow in comparison. Have you tried to test both units side by side? I had a look at the ecoflow unit, which seems a lot bigger and heavier, not as compact. Let me know how they go side by side.

      @@40ChannelCruiser The EcoFlow is larger.. maybe a little better built, BUT it's proprietary - cables ONLY work with some of the EcoFlow products (not all). Big advantage to the EcoFlow is the fact that it can reverse charge to use your solar charger to charge the battery should you need that. As an owner of multiple brands - the Bluetti is the unit I'm going with.

    The circuit breaker should be at the battery end of the cable. This well protect the cable run and the charger.

    Could one use solar panels in place of a car battery?

    Up the voltage on the charger to boost the charging rate similar to how solar works.

      Bluetti have recently advised that there is an adaptive mode in the event that there are issues with smart alternators.

    id like to know just how hot the thing gets ? and what's the cost for the whole system including the bank

    • @40ChannelCruiser
      @40ChannelCruiser  3 месяца назад +1

      @Mgtowfreedom I have just returned from a 2 weeks road trip where I was using 24/7 non-stop to charger the AC70 and run the Fridge. Did seem to get Hot and we were in a Hot climate, too. As for cost, there are any combination setups you can make best checking their web page.

    This is NOT a DC-DC charger. An actual DC-DC charger charges raw 12v batteries (Lithium, AGM, Flooded, etc.). The actual charging is happening within the power station this is connected to, and not by this device. This is basically an adjustable voltage booster to simulate a large solar panel array. DO NOT USE THIS TO CHARGE YOUR RAW 12V BATTERY!!!!

  • @petraroams

    You have an AC70 which allows for PV input -500W Max,12V-58VDC, 10A - so why have you not plugged it into your Solar input - and turned up to 56V to get the max out of the Charger 1 - and you'd almost double your input Watts going in ???

  • @Mick_4591

    The wiring is NOT part of the purchase
    You have to order that separately.

    220 watts is the same as my Lighter port….. it says it will take 560 watts so why is it doing what it says.

    • @scottandchels6813
      @scottandchels6813 3 месяца назад +1

      When he changes the volts to 56v he'll be able to charge it at about 500w

    You located your Charger 1 at the worse place and just under the hole in your window seal. This is where moisture will leaks straight on it. I beleive you located somewhere else after you realized this..
