4 men and 4 machines doing 10% more than 1 man and 1 machine in the same time. If my math is correct that’s almost 400% more efficient so who actually won?
Stan won? Stan was the one that paid 4 wages, equipment costs and the many other hidden costs behind paying each guy per hour. His guys are efficient yes, but man power can only do so much over a bigger and better tool. Can I spread a 22 tonnes of dirt by hand? Yes of course I can, or I can use a machine and do it much faster
How did stan win? I'm completely confused? Yes his guys were faster and he certainly won the bet, but the point is long term efficiency here and overall cost. One guy did just as much as four did in just a slightly longer amount of time
I'm really loving these plowing videos. I've plowed a few seasons in my life and its become part of me i swear. Any time i watch someone plow I'm a critic. Keep up the great videos! Love from NW Ohio!
In my opinion, Lucas won. The four machines finished first, however, Lucas hung with them and was basically done as well. So to me, they didn’t overlap his progress enough to justify the win. That pusher is worth every penny.
I LOVE this it keeps the job fun and everyone full of energy .... snow removal can get so mundane for the crews, it also shows the company who can operate in a crew, lead and the learning curve of the workers.
Nothing better than the AS. Been running a 18 footer on the property a couple years now and could not be happier. They are also easier on the pavement when it becomes a little uneven
Northwest Pa has not got squat for snow this season. We maybe got 3 inches since Monday! A few saltings and that's it! From what I see here, when i can get one machine and one operator to do 90% the work done as 4 men and machines in the same time; that Arctic and small payloader is worth gold! Granted you have a good operator running it.
That was FUN to watch! One piece of equipment doing 90% of what 4 pieces of equipment did in the same time period is MASSIVELY impressive! Three of the four machines were BEASTS too. Not like he was competing with a bunch of 4-wheelers!!!
Great fun.Just got off my JD3320.The ice is bad bad. Thanks to all you night snow plow people.I like my 3320 with a loader and bucket.I don’t have a lot of room to pile snow. This year you have to pile high or haul away.I don’t go out just my big yard.Still work 2 to 3 hours.Snow is really piling up.The video is one of your best,Thanks!!
Jesus, how much cheaper is 1 loader vs 4 pieces of equipment? Man-hours, maintenance, fuel, insurance, wear items, plus an increased chance of collision (with 4 vehicles). I mean PUH-LEEZE the profits will go thru the roof!
Good vid Stanley. We’ve done the same “speed and quality” competition in my line of work. Found out all my coworkers can perform their tasks 3 times as quickly without hurting themselves or damaging equipment. Was a great way to build morale and lessen the gripe factor.
I use a 14' Artic Sectional in front of a john deere 544k for Valparaiso Community Schools. We are located in Northwest Indiana. I am very pleased with the way they clean. And even with a large loader when the box bites in it grabs and slows down the push
Lucas won hands down, 90% done with one machine against four ? Not even close considering the fuel, wear and tear, man hours. Simple math, Lucas kicked your Ass !!
Would love to see an aerial video of ALL your vehicles used for plowing snow; do a synchronized "dance" to music while plowing at night.....think would be just great, & show off how awesome your guys are at maneuvering the machines👍🏻
thats really slick! bet you guys are absolutely loving all this snow so far this month here! as a body tech i pray for this kinda winter every year to keep the shop full. guess we just had to wait till the end of winter for all the work. can't wait to see what sorta heavy wet nasty snow march will bring
I love how engenius that "sledge" pusher is, with its sections and floater design, imagine how that'll do on slopes.... its just sooooo slick.... no wonder it can do soooo much more then the rest.... though I don't think he planned on how good the rest of your equipment is.... like the back end plow on the truck...
That Arctic Sectional Lucas is running is sweet! Never seen anything like it before, pretty cool. Of course, don't plow anymore as moved to FL. Wish I had that though when I did plow, would have been awesome.... Thanks for these kinds of "in your face", "hands on" type videos. It's one thing to see a plow, vehicle, tool etc...in shop/store, but completely different actually seeing it in action & getting feedback👍🏻 Cheers, A
Used a 15’ Arctic for a few yrs and loved it. #1 push box choice. Used to do Walmart’s with it. I had a 966 cat loader and with weight it didn’t slow down on ice. The tiltable moboard made it great for scraping snow pack because you could tilt it and get a more aggressive scrape when needed. First year with it cut my time down 40-60% compared to other pushers I used. Means more time for more contracts.
At 16:21 Lucas is one guy in a great pusher, hes the man, in a loader that hes never ran against 4 or 5 can't remember that's impressive, I'd say if you had 5 guys like Lucas you'd be on your way to another million
I've never seen anything like that before. That snow pusher is a thing of the future. Poor Lucas though. His claim seemed very promising and in my opinion, he really won that contest because he did all the work of the other four in just about the same time. Not to mention that he used less fuel than four other pieces of equipment. So I say Lucas, overall, won, hands down. Love your RUclips videos and I learn new things all the time. Thanks a lot Stanley
The Arctic pusher is good, but I've got a couple years experience running a loader with a Metal Pless blade and It's quite a bit more efficient. Little bit more cost and learning curve but you've got so much more control. Nice comparison!
never heard of them till now but i must say im a fan already. wish i had the chance to use them before but will definitely be recommending to my boss from now on until he finally gives in and gets one.
That piece is so effective it almost, I say almost makes me want to go back North to get in the snow plow business again. My last unit was a 72 power wagon with a seven and a half foot power angle Meyers plow on it that I modified. Before that it was a 69 Scout with a six and a half foot modified Power angle Myers. Most of my work was residential with a few Light commercial in central New York state.
We’ve been running nothing but Arctic pushers for years and once you get really good at them, nothing touches them. You can backdrag and swipe curbs wicked fast
Sectionals are by far the best. I can plow a 5.5 acre gravel steel yard in a hour and a half. The sectionals are needed for gravel areas so they don’t dig in as hard
@@aaronfrankum8941 Yes, there is a video, on how running a skid steer with the front wheels up that high wrecks equipment. ruclips.net/video/9nNnMiU9Oxk/видео.html
There is nothing wrong having the front wheels off the ground on a skid steer. Especially for snow- pushing/traction w/o chains. Keyboard/armchair operators :(
I love your videos. I watch all the time. But the caption says "2 tractors, a truck and skid steer" the picture shows "2 TRUCKS, tractor, and skid steer. Just pointing that out. Lol but the video really is 2 tractors, skid steer and a truck. Lol
How is the cheep Loader working now when you have got some hours on it? What about the comfort for the driver? That always been an problem with the cheep chines loaders.
Great video 👍 I've been working for the highway Dept for 18 years seen my share of snow that lil loader is great is it still holding up to your expectations bro thanks God bless you and your men
It would be awsome to see the backhoes switched with loaders your protection would be interesting to see if it would go up or not. You have awsome operators in those machines
Hey Stan do you have use for the loader in the summer ? I am getting more commercial stuff to the point that may need one but I am not sure if I want to go that route and if I do what would I do with it in the summer
I run a Arctic pusher I can't say enough good things about it love it I'm on the 3rd year will it like he says it keeps on impressing him it's also with me great price of equipment!!!!!!!!!!!
The group of four had a huge advantage for the curbs if you know how to operate a back blade. Especially the expanding style.like you have. Leave the wing that is on the curb side folded in and extend the other the drive down the curb.
Lucas won hands down. He was 2 pushes behind with 1/4 of the fuel cost. 1/4 of the man hours. 1/4 of the insurance cost 1/4 of equipment maintenance cost. That's a win in my book every day.

This is equipment level porn....
That curb shot back drag was AWESOME!
4 men and 4 machines doing 10% more than 1 man and 1 machine in the same time. If my math is correct that’s almost 400% more efficient so who actually won?
That's a very good way to put it. He did win the battle but he certainly won the war with labour and equipment cost
I would say Stan won, that’s some efficiency right there.
Stan won? Stan was the one that paid 4 wages, equipment costs and the many other hidden costs behind paying each guy per hour. His guys are efficient yes, but man power can only do so much over a bigger and better tool. Can I spread a 22 tonnes of dirt by hand? Hats off to Lucas,he wins hands down!
The drone shot at 0:30 is flipping awesome
One of the best videos you have done yet. The drone shots, video quality and equipment. Just amazing
Thank you, glad you liked it !!
Lucas’s lot looked way cleaner at the end, so clean! I run a 908 cat with a Kage system, but I wouldn’t mind one of those. Very cool
I'm really loving these plowing videos. I've plowed a few seasons in my life and its become part of me i swear. Any time i watch someone plow I'm a critic. Keep up the great videos! Love from NW Ohio!

I’d lose my mind plowing with all those machine in such a small parking lot nothing sucks more than playing dodgeball while your trying to work
Its team work.
A fine dance if all goes well.
I think they're a great team and know how to work together.
In my opinion, Lucas won. The four machines finished first, however, Lucas hung with them and was basically done as well. So to me, they didn’t overlap his progress enough to justify the win. That pusher is worth every penny.
I'm sold on the artic pushers. They scrape so amazing.
There is a real Tom Sawyer tricking his friends to paint a fence, quality to this video
I LOVE this it keeps the job fun and everyone full of energy .... snow removal can get so mundane for the crews, it also shows the company who can operate in a crew, lead and the learning curve of the workers.
Thank you and appreciate the great comments !
Lucas saved how many gallons of fuel and man hours?
I'm not going to get into the snowplowing game until charging by the inch becomes the norm again! HAHA

It's a bosses dream when the employees are racing to make you more money haha
too funny. I worked for Lucas's mom and pops when he was in his baby chair. Cool to see him taking the helm.

I don't think anyone was surprised as that was exactly his reasoning for buying the SDLG in the first place.

Amazing piece of equipment to be able to keep up with four guys working on the same lot
That thing is sick! The curb cleaning was impressive.
Glad you liked it Tim, thanks for viewing !
WOW! Bunch of Great Sports and that Arctic is a bad machine! Nice video and thank you Stan! Sonny (CT)
You're welcome Sonny, thanks for viewing!
Arctic's are nice, but MetalPless is at a whole other level.

Thanks for watching JB!
You guys are gonna be busy after todays 10" drop
That’s what she said.
Anthony Bennett are you a five year old
Logan Manley
No. Are you a stick in the mud?
You are probably horrible at parties.
Are you stupid if I was a stick in the wood I wouldn’t be able to type that
Anthony Bennett - a little childish. Meh
Logan Manley - TOTAL FAIL!!!!!!! UGH
That's sectional pusher is absolutely beast

Way more exciting than the Super Bowl!

That artic sectional pusher was amazing snow pusher. I loved the way it does curbs

Great video, we have a Case SR240 with the Case sectional pusher box made by Arctic. Awesome productivity....!
Thank you !
I hear good things on the SLDG & Cat GS line. Cool Presentation 🚜👍
Thanks Mark !
That was awesome! I'm highly impressed! I'm now waiting for the notification of the rematch. LOL!
Lol, thanks Walter !
With how good that artic snow pusher held up to the competition, you better order more of those snow pushers for all your machines, time is money 🇺🇸👍
The Arctic pusher is good, but I've got a couple years experience running a loader with a Metal Pless blade and It's quite a bit more efficient. Little bit more cost and learning curve but you've got so much more control. Nice comparison!

Love those plows been selling parts for them for a few years now.
Awesome John, thanks for viewing !
I would like to see you try a metal pless wing plow.
I would like to see that too. Dirt ninja really like's his.
There 40k$ but of the most bad ass attachments you can run..
Chris Uscilla metal pless live edge would make these plows look like antiques from the Stone Age
Metal Pless would be the one that stands a chance against the Arctic, or the other way around....
I run a metal pless and am moderately Happy with it. It had its flaws that is for sure
I think that all you need to be efficient is two SDLG’s with attic sectionals with a bobcat
So impressed by arctic didn’t know
Thank you for watching Christopher
damn that mini loader can freaking giver
Well yeah, tractors make pickups look like toys
@@pryme2013 loade mak tractor lok like toy
I will say the Arctic pushers are really nice to use. I run a Bobcat with a 10' pusher. It does well even with wet heavy stuff.
Your skid loader operator didn't have his front wheels on the ground most of the time is he a new operator
No hes got 20 years but generally drives his truck. That new guy hasnt run anything so they gave him the truck.
Im pretty that is how they run skid steers there is a video about from last winter or the winter before
@@aaronfrankum8941 i think they were trying to go really fast. But the original commentor correct. Front wheel should still be on the ground.
