Is it possible to after 2-3 years convert a first time buyers mortgage into a mortgage for rental properties ?

Great video Terry! I have a question. If there is let’s say 60 years left on a lease for an apartment, what happens then when it expires? Also would this mean that in let’s say 30 years time I decide to sell the apartment with only 30 years left, the value of it will decrease significantly?

You would almost certainly have an entitlement to a new lease, For that reason, I don't believe the value would be hugely affected.

So "buying" an apartment is only leasing it untill death?
No, the legal interest in an apartment-the lease-will last forever and certainly long after your death. For example, for 500 years. And when that runs out you are entitled to a new one on the same terms.
What the lease allows is the inclusion of certain terms and conditions as to how you behave in the apartment complex because living along with many other owners in one complex is different from living in a one off house in the country or even a house in a housing estate.
