Don't know if this applies to your tractor, my alternator was failing a few months ago and I had to run at high RPMS to get normal voltage. Read that the voltage regulator was at fault. Finally stopped putting out any voltage, replaced alternator, fixed it.

We have a loose or nicked wire somewhere.
So what you are saying is that John Deere tractors give a lot of trouble
