Shaman tank here in classic went through every dungeon and tanked onyxia
Now, having you're pet not die in hardcore as a rule would be ridiculous
Shammmie idd can tank each and every dungeon in classic. It's just two which REALLY stand out - ST and DMW. ST has tons on nature immunity, DMW does too + threat wipes. Everything else is just fine.
Lmao ST is literally made for a shaman tank we’re the only class in game that can avoid the threat drop on the last boss and maintain aggro the whole fight, fuckin largid noobing it up as always

People that escaled this so that he lost his team sponsorship are true toxic ones. Problems like that should be solved ingame where rogues would spawn camp him. But because blizzard is incompetent pvp is dead on most servers
"Elementals don't deal damage" and then elemental shamans are the 4th best parsing spec in Classic, the issue simply being that only 2 specs are brought for damage (or should I say more like 1 pre AQ?). That doesn't make shamans bad, it makes them not the one best choice.
"Shamans can't tank" they're the worst tank in Classic but they *are* an option. They can't tank everything and your raid will have to decide if the effort is worth it but I've seen a shaman main tank Nef and it worked, so saying you can't tank dungeons is ridiculous. People will say the survivability ain't enough as if we hadn't just spent the entire game dual wield tanking. Hell, I did dw tanking on my warrior in berserker stance (in dungeons) in early 2006...
I'm interested to see what else shamans can't do.
Ele Sham is 8th best parsing spec for dps rankings. Please don't comment.

Tanking rfc as a shaman? Easy. Your main threat comes from rockbiter, not earthshock. Use a good weapon and use a swing timer to know when to switch target to keep Aggro on multiple mobs. Just use flame shock to nature resistant targets an smack the shit out of them with that weapon of yours.
actually shamans are great tanks. if you know how. sure no taunt but they do soooo much dmg compared to warr/druid

Are you new to Vanilla WoW and just started making content haha, Shamans were made to tank, look at all their threat modification (rockbiter, earthshow, stoneclaw totem) as well as block+armor% talents. people have been playing Shaman tanks in Vanilla for nearly 20 years..

Shamans have no 1s (EDIT: just found out stomp lasts for 2 sec. Kinda wondering why I was thinking one. Then again, the glocal CD, so it is 1s... whatever) cast to make use of warstomp and the extra health isn't worth as much for levelling as the stun resistance imho. If he plans to play enhancement, the weapon skill is also huge. There's a reason we were playing world of orccraft in Classic.
