Alexis Cohen I always recommend the Evolve 75 as my favorite Bluetooth headset strictly for calls. The music is good enough as well. However I only recommend it because a boom mic always will have the best call quality. The Evolve2 85 is coming out here soon and it’s probably going to be amazing but has a hefty price tag!

I have the wi1000x and call quality is ONLY bad when you leave both earbuds on ears. However, when you take one earbud, where the call mic is located, closer to your mouth, call quality is fantastic even in very noisy places. When close to one's mouth, the mic can completely suppress all background noises without affecting call quality as it can identify the 2 different sources of sound. I just ordered the xm2 and it's still on its way, but it has the call mic on one wire so I assume you don't even have to take the earbud out but just move the mic closer to your mouth for phone calls
I really want next generation of these. I don't like true wireless and headphones either. These are over the neck and minimalist design and very comfortable. These are easy to carry. I hope sony brings out next version of these asap. I am using xb series from past 5 years on drive, gym watching tv etc. They are excellent. Its time to upgrade provide sony comes with next version of these.

Does anyone know why they randomly disconnect everyday and won't reconnect until I do a factory reset, uninstall the app, unpair and wait 10 hours? Then, while fully charged, within a meter of my LGG6 phone and listening to music they suddenly disconnect and i have to repeat the painful process? I'm reaching out because after five attempts to contact Sony and no response I'm hoping the wonderful people of the internet can help.
Thank you, with the 3.5 mm cable plugged in it's not required to have it powered on for you to hear anything.However if you have it plugged in with power on of course it defaults to the device you're using and will disconnect anything else if that makes sense.
I love the headset, not worrying about a case, the anc is very good, if dead I can use the aux cable for audio. I also love the wf-1000xm3, so I got these as soon as best buy drop them, and got lucky paid 199.

I don't think is the best answer but it's what I do with headphones. The laptop screen cleaning solution with the towel kits always do best for me. Again, there's probably a better way it's just what I do.

Sadly, not better than previous Sony WI-1000X according to rtings.com. I broke my Sony WI-1000X headphones which i was very satisfied with and i was about to buy these Sony WI-1000XM2, but realized these are inferior to previous model (worse frequency response, worse treble accuracy, worse peak/dibs, worse imaging, worse WHD, worse noise isolation, worse battery, worse latency)...disappointed.
I haven't tried the Sony WI-1000X and that's a bummer because these new ones are pretty dang expensive. It hurt paying the price I did. I'd see them go on sale for like $199 and was like okay that's more like but even then. They're just a weird pair of earbuds. I still don't know how I feel about them today lol
Great question thanks for asking. The sound quality is just as good but when I tried the EQ settings I couldn’t do anything as it disconnects from Bluetooth. Only thing I noticed that was different.
On Amazon in the US they’re on sale for $249, for that price absolutely. For $300 they still are the best ANC around the neck earbuds I’ve tried for music quality, comfort and ANC. The only thing I didn’t like was just the microphone quality after still using them. Thanks for the comment!
Well they were super difficult to workout in, they are not water and sweat resistant per se. I don’t see you having a problem with a sweaty neck though lol

If we're strictly talking mic quality for the around the neck design, the Jabra Evolve 75e and Evolve 65e have the best mic quality I've heard. The 75e have ANC but it's not as strong as the Sony's by far.

Sony ANC Is stronger in my opinion. I do like the 30's though. I still rock them every now and again. I'm sitting here waiting for UPS to bring the 800n's now. I feel stupid cause I just got the 700's not to long ago! Ya... They got me...this time!!

I haven’t tried it with gaming and don’t have an answer for that.

I'd say these over the Bose Quietcomfort 30's, however the best ANC earbuds I ever used are for sure the Bose Quietcomfort True Wireless Earbuds.

Do the earbuds retract or dangle when not in use?
They hang down with a magnet connection on the earbuds. You can't retract them like LG earbuds.
