Totally agree. Just one of those things that people overlook cuz they assume it'll be uncomfortable and that true wireless will sound just as good. Maybe the neckband isn't right or comfortable for a couple people, but for most, I think it would work out just fine.
I felt like I was crazy for seemingly being the only one who thought true wireless buds were absolutely impractical versus neckbands / wired Bluetooth buds
Yes, the neckbands are wired in that the two buds are connected via a wire, but they are otherwise wireless in terms of connecting to your phone/computer. The fully wireless buds are impractical because, if you want to take one or both out of your ears, you must find a pocket or something to put them in, and it's annoying to dig them back out of your pockets. Especially when you just need them out for a short time. Conversely, you can pull a neckband earbud or both out of your ears and simply drop it and it will stay around your neck. No need for a pocket. No need to pull it back out of your pocket. This is especially a big deal if you work with your hands and they are dirty or wearing gloves. Then, when you want them back in, they are easy access around your neck and you can fit them back in your ears without worrying about dropping them. If you haven't tried them out, I suggest you give it a shot.
PREACH, Brother! I fully agree (after having bought several pairs of truly wireless earbuds, and arriving at the thought this morning that my regular wireless, neckband-style earbuds actually sound better, and are more practical). It took me hundreds of dollars (and endless hours of watching RUclips videos, comparing different truly wireless earbuds) to figure this out. Anyone reading this, save yourselves the time! Just go with a neckband!
Hi, question for you, do you tend to lose connection with true wireless ? Cause I'm considering new sport earphones. My true wireless are crap. Its stuttering and cutting. Never had any problems with my bluetooth before...
@@msanna4 yeah I noticed that too. Discovering it on my Bluetooth search took a while, compared to the neckline earphones. I don't know if it was the battery being low or something else, but it took a while and quickly disconnected after a while.

Agreed. There's also no way I would trust myself not losing true wireless buds. I've had my LG-hbs810 for 6 years without issues with an insane amount of usage.
Here is some, based on my experience with both types. :) 1. Cable is microphonic, that is the sound you hear when the cable rub into your shirt and get passed into your ear. The neckband style suffer from this and depending to the cable material, some is worse than the other. True wireless completely eliminate this problem. 2. Cable still limit your head movement. For example, when I turn my head to the side, the cable (as weightless as it is) could pull the earphone in my ear even just a tiny bit. This break the seal and I need to adjust the earphone again. True wireless don't have this issue. 3. Some neckband style earphones don't magnetically attach to each other. Walking around with these hanging around from my neck is a pain, they wiggle right and left, very annoying. When I have enough of wiggling and I want to store this thing in my bag? It took more space than any true wireless with their case. 4. Cable is still a weak point, the connection between the cable and earpiece is the most common break point. Some plastic cable sleeve could peel too after a while. You need to take care when storing this neckband earphones, making sure the cable doesn't get bend too much, and so on. On true wireless, just put in the case and forget.
I have experienced all those with my Bose neckband. No. 4 was the deal breaker. One earphone died, got it fixed, died again. I got Bose SOUNDSPORT free true wireless. Am not turning back!!
Same problems, that's why been planning to upgrade my oneplus wireless bullets from a long time. Especially in the gym, no doubt its better than the wired earphones, but truly wireless can do wonders, and another thing is what if I don't want it dangling there on my chest, it doesn't fit the style of clothes I'm wearing, due to the neckband I can't store it anywhere.
response to: 1. While true, it's never been noticable to me (and this is coming from someone who is crazy picky about sound quality (have returned a lot of highly praised quality sounding buds for imperfect sound) 2. out of probably 20 different wired bt earbuds, my head movement has never felt limited with the exception of 1 pair. 3. while definitely a valid point, this can simply be made up for by using a little clip similar to the ones that standard wired earbuds and almost all wired bt earbuds have. 4. Even with moderate abuse, with the exception of beats (aka apple) 100% wired earbuds, I've never had a wire break. since I was a kid 25 yrs ago using $5 - $10 headphones when there was no such thing as earbuds. 4 B. With my $40 Skullcandy Titan wired (3.5mm jack) w/ braided wire took an UNREALISTICALLY UNBELIEVABLE amount of abuse while running a lawn care business and they never quit working. I still have the wire and will maybe make a video about it to attach here to show how wire quality doesn't have to be a concern now days.
2024 and after having issues with 2 different TWS buds (lost the case to my first pair, 2nd model the case stopped charging after 6months). I've bought a neckband set. My other issue with TWS buds has been comfort, they all have hurt my ears too much to keep in for long periods of time. And the touch features are annoying because if they started to slip out and I adjusted them, often my music stopped.
i think the best option would be , get a neckband for endurance runs, where you need 20 hours of battery. Get affordable tws for outdoor scenarios when you cant have a cable around your neck and when wires would tangle with something
OMG! This guy is so on point!!! I bought my first set of neckband bluetooth several years ago. I have replaced twice with another neckband device. They are seamless devices that don't get in the way of my life.
One of the biggest advantage of truly wireless at least for me is that there isn't any cord that pulls the earbud when I turn my head which was the case with my Powerbeats 3 but I guess wireless headphones also solve that problem
You might as well get full headphones the sound quality is indisputably better, you can just drop it around your neck, longer battery life, real physical controls, cheaper, and more durable.
@@Gamerad360 as in fully wired? Don't you realize people bother with wireless for the advantage of comfort? You and many here seem to not address that. Like you pretend it doesn't even exist.
I recently switched to true wireless from neckbands because every neckband I've tried just won't stay around my neck--they either slide off my neck and onto my back or they slide to one side, and forget about working out in them. But I really miss some of the conveniences of neckbands, particularly being able to just pop them out of my ears and drop them instead of having to take out the charging case.
When im on the subway I like how discreet my wf-1000 xm3's are. I enjoy the noise cancellation when on the many buses and trains. My favorite part and why I don't do neckbands is because of the hair products and etc that I use, (plus I have African American hair), constantly get all over normal headphones especially over ears and neck bands. Also I can wear my beanies and not deal with wires getting caught and tangled on my clothes or surrounding objects. My big reason was because I used to use my kz as10s for my commuting needs and besides no noise cancellation I would constantly rip them out of my ears getting caught on objects and didn't want to risk breaking them or damaging the connectors. (I know it's kind of ridiculous going from 60$ iems to 230$ earbuds to not risk breaking the cheaper one but this came with a lot of good features I use 5 days a week 4-5 hours a day.) My biggest annoyance is the random disconnects and them having a hard time connecting to my phone when wearing heavy clothing.
Ever try using neckbuds while doing Crossfit? Also, ever have the dangling, magnetically clasped neckbuds get caught on someone else's bag on a packed train? Neckbuds also don't stow as elegantly in its own case when you really want to put it away, in a pocket or small bag/purse with limited storage space. My point: there are many use cases where earbuds are more convenient. There's a reason why neckbuds never really caught on that's far beyond marketing. As technology shrinks, the computers we use every day shrink too. Neckbuds we're a necessary step towards earrbuds and have a few niche benefits. You're getting old and believe in the conveniences that you enjoyed. But technology evolves. Good luck with replacing the battery on your neckbuds. And look how much of a footprint those products leave behind as well. Packaging size included.
I have a pair of RHA MA650 Wireless neckband earphones. Bought them about 2 years ago and have been the best purchase I've made. The convenience iterated in the video of just dropping an earbud out the ear is something much smoother than the airpod squeeze functionality, I have bought and returned my airpod pros for this reason and THE SOUND QUALITY my o my, the neckband earphones have so much more physical space in the earbud to not worry about battery etc to concentrate on producing that wide sound I love. Neckbands OP needs nurf
I'm planning to get those as well. The only thing I'm kinda hesitant about is the older Bluetooth version but i can easily give that up for the sound quality it promises. Even the ma 750s, I doubt tws headphones headphones in general will achieve that level of sound quality anytime soon.
1. Neckbands still have wires dangling around and it just gets in the way when you eat or when you're wearing thick clothes and basically the wires just touch your face from time to time and it sucks. 2. The bone conductor kind is ideal for commuting or working out but when you wanna sit down, have a cup of coffee and enjoy your music? Oops, you can hear everything going on in the background. 3. True wireless earphones are easier to keep. When I bring out a pair of earphones I don't use them all the time, but it's easily accesible when I do (you're exaggerating how hard it is). If I'm wearing a neckband, well, for 80% of the time it's just going to be around my neck doing nothing, and if I wanna keep it I'd have to bring an actual bag. 4. I just have to charge my case once a week and not worry about the battery. Funny you say neckbands have better battery life. Can they last a week per charge? True wireless just seems much neater to me.
My first wireless earphones were neckbands, specifically the original OnePlus Bullets back in 2018. Ever since I got about 3 true wireless earphones because of trends and they all left me feeling disappointed. So I mostly stuck to using that OnePlus neckband. Now today I got a new neckband since my old one broke. It's a cheap one but works really well. And I've now realized neckbands are far more convenient and practical than true wireless.
I love this video! You literally addressed EVERYTHING I try to tell people about the first pair of LG HBS neckband headphones I had in 2013. They were way ahead of their time. And somehow, technological advances went left and made things more complicated.
Although I agree (using jaybird Tarah Pros here) and you mentionned all the + sides pretty well, I can't say that "it's not even close". Cables have that tendency to break overtime and that's still an issue honestly. If these jaybirds had a way to replace the cable (and the battery at the same time since it's in the small remote), for like 50$ they would be pretty much perfect. Drivers rarely brake it's always either the battery/wire that dies first. True wireless are also practical for people who use their earphones in very specific ways to complement a headset like 1000X M3 or something. Like using them JUST for the gym. You don't need a very long battery life, a workout rarely lasts more than two hours. and you can just leave the earphones in the gym bag. You always know where they are and the case makes them even easier to carry around in that case. Having both options is good, but I guess both have their advantages, and there are some cheaper alternatives for true wireless from Creative and the Anker that make for pretty compelling products.
That also comes down to how you use them and care for them. I was BRUTAL on my original Plantronics backbeat, They still work today. I SERIOUSLY doubt any airpods would survive as well over the same length of time.
@@SomeGadgetGuy That might be the case for "real" neckbands, since the wire is mostly inside the casing, but my X3 lasted me for two years before breaking and I would be surprised if these ones last for much longer. I find neckbands a bit irritating during summer/more intense workouts though. And the earphone wires hang too much compared to something like the Tarah Pros
Putting waxed earbud in pocket is gross. ok Leaving waxed earbut on tshirt is not gross? what? Sorry but this is biased. sound quality and better connectivity aside, convenience is 10x better with the true wireless. You won't see me wearing a suit with some trash ass neckband lmao "you're probably wrong?" that's just cocky and not debate friendly. You have the righ to rant and objectively you are right in some regards, but since I went the truly wireless way I ain't going back .
Personally I do see your point but from my own perspective. I just find wearing a neckband EXTEMELY uncomfortable. I hate wearing necklaces or anything around my neck. So true wireless is about the only way I can do bluetooth as I also hate most normal headphones (the band irks me on 95% of headphones). True wireless is about the only way I can get the convenience of bluetooth due to that. The only neckband ones that I've liked were beats X but I've since switched to android and they kinda broke after 6 months like most beats products do soooooo. Yeah I'll stick with true wireless for comfort thanks.
Interesting that beats is now owned by apple. Hum... lol. Apple has a sneaky reputation for lowered quality now days with some of their products. Anyway, the 1more triple driver bt earbuds that I just bought are decently comfortable thanks to the extra flexible band and most of the band being light weight, but then again wired bt earbuds of any type have never really bugged me.
I agree completely!! I loved my Galaxy Buds for about a month but ended up going back to my LG Tones Platinum. They sound better, better battery, better calls, and more convenient. I missed having volume controls!!
I got a couple of neckband earphones, chargeable over usb-c . They lasts long long huors of listening, one of them about 1000 hrs. I sometime sleep wearing them. They are the most comfortable and practical IMO.
Ive been the biggest proponent for neckbands and went through atleast 10 of them and forced them upon at least a few mates. After finally trying a $20 tws, I'm pretty happy with the convenience and low profile that they offer. But after watching you remind me how much i loved the neckbands I'm curious about the 1mores.
Yes, easy handling for travellers in public transport NeckBeds are safe and easy to handle ! But my worry is battery bulging with neck bands which worries me and ends early life of Neck bands.. any suggestions for good maintenance of Neck Band ?
I have long held that I like the neckband form factor better. What lead me away from them for a while was actually durability. The wires to the ear pieces were cheap and kept breaking.
Speaking from personal experience, neckband aren't better than TWS when it comes to the gym and working out. You have no idea how annoying jump roping with a neck band is
I completely agree, because I was thinking the same thing. True wireless earbuds have the trendy and style factors but neckband headphones have the better specs in general. I love my Amorno neckband headphones: 1.5 days battery life, always by my neck when I need it, great bass, never lost it and I forget I have it on when I'm not using it because the headphones retract.
Personally I choose true wireless over neckbands due to comfort. I did own a set of neckbands for a few weeks and could never get used to the feeling of the band around the neck. Can't explain why but no matter what, it was always distracting and never comfortable.
Hey Juan. You are hands down killing it on the reviews. Thank you for being real ! What is the best sounding neckband you have tested so far? I'm skipping true wireless now that I've seen this. But I want the best
yes please! i've been on the hunt for a good pair for the last few weeks & it feels like companies have abandoned the practical neckband for the flashy true wireless my biggest gripe with the latter is that the media/volume control UI of such a small device, tends to be quite uncomfortable followed very closely by the fact that more space to work with leads to better batteries & hardware for additional features like ANC
You know ,I got my neckband about 1 1/2 years ago I used it for driving. Today 4 of July 2023, I did not know I could use them for music until I could not hear it ,so I got the neckband out .people I love them ,and for the best part I can hear and I never have to worry about where my ear pod's are because they have the magnet .I'm 63 years old I love all kinds of music .Have a good one Patti. 20. Dollars was what I paid.
I use huwawi am61 sports lite .. It's magnetic without call control with nice looking and battery life over 10 hours.I bought another pair as an emergency replacement and gifted one to my cousin . I do not like Apple airpod style.. I can easily lose one and it makes me extra careful . Nick band style is good but one flaw is you have to keep it around your neck all the time, you can't put it back in your pocket.
3:29 oh man it's not that hard. You're doing it like some commercial stuff also you can just put 1 earpiece on the case if you want some spatial awareness.
He's not talking about the process of making quick observation of the environment necessarily. He's talking about the process of when he's finished using them each time. Minus the little sarcastic smile, I bet the process takes about that much time and movement and simply gets old once your new earbuds turn into "yet another device that you use regularly" and don't care to fuss with. Maybe it doesn't bug you which is awesome, but for others, that could get old.
I`m just looking for behind the neck headphones mainly for the practical reason (convenience of use) These days companies are investing less in production and marketing of neckband headphones? 1. Is there a better solution in 2023? 2. I would be happy to receive a recommendation on three neckband Headphones. 3. What the difference in LG tone series ? HBS-SL5 , SL6, SL7 and LG tone ultra ?
Interesting viewpoint. You make a good case for the neckband. I’ve always thought the most important thing with audio equipment is how it sounds. I don’t understand the purchase of AirPods for convenience when most other decent Bluetooth headphones/earphones have similar convenience features of allowing for quick pairing/switch between devices and sound better. I don’t see brands pushing the neck band option though so I suspect that people just don’t know about quality neckband options.
Yep, you nailed it. I love my Sony WI-1000X for exact these reasons. On a typical business travel day, I have them hanging around my neck the whole day, even when I don't use them. Getting a phone call? I always know where my earpiece is. The battery lasts all day. And the noise cancelling is excellent. There is one exception for me: when running, I dislike the neck-piece jumping up and down on every step. I have a cheap Sony CX-150 for that, but sometimes its neck-cable entangles with my clothing, so I think about getting a pair of true wireless just for running. But I fear loosing them. No optimal solution for me now.
I personally never owned the neckbands wired or wireless. However, I can instantly pick an ordinary pair of wired earphones if I had to choose between it and True Wireless Earbuds. Primarily for two reasons: The battery life and the fit (constantly falling out of my ears and I did change the tips multiple times). Imagine if I was walking outside and one of them fell and disappeared or got broken on me and they are a bit costly to replace. I'd love to try the neckband someday, I kind of see it looking cool too as some kind of accessory and very unique. You don't see people with those.
Juan, you really spoke the truth in this one, but you missed the most ground, simple, obvious, number 1 cause people diss neck earbuds: THE LOOKS. People wouldn't care less about sound, or even about hygiene, as long as it LOOKS good. It's sad but it's true, and the mobile industry knows it.
But they dont. We used to make fun of douchenozzles on old one ear bluetooth headsets in the flip phone days. TWS doesn't look any better. It's just a display that someone spent more money than they needed to.
JuanBagnell I fully disagree. Neckbands are super ugly and I think most people prefer the clean look of truly wireless. Something like the jaybird with wires connecting both earbuds is still acceptable. Something like the LG tone where u hang a damn plastic around your neck?.. that looks utterly ridiculous. And try using a LG tone in a gym and do some barbell squats... you’d crush the thing. Or even when running where it will hop and bounce around. Been there.. done that. Never again.
the biggest reason for me to go with wireless earbuds is that they're convenient for me to store also a side benefit for me is that its easier to share them with friends lol
Hello! I don't know if you'll ever see this but do you still use neckbands in 2022? Which ones do you recommend? I still love neckbands, they last long, no need for pesky cases and you never lose them!
Hey Juan , my old true wireless died so I'm looking for new options, I've never considered neck bands because they seem extremely uncomfortable, mainly because I use my headphones to work out, and you can't really put a barbell on your back while using those , some thing while doing cardio or anything involving lots of movement because they'll be bouncing around a lot. Now, my question, I'm open to experiment so maybe there's a neckband out there that may work for me and if someone could give me some suggestions is probably you :)
Neckbands are not good for workout cause the wire and the band that surround your neck will just move around a lot. Now, I love the neckbands but I switched to truly wireless earbuds just for convenience and to be wireless. I'm really picky about the the wireless earbuds but 1MORE Triple Driver BT is a good option for neckbands. Neckbands are only good for casual, daily listening to music or other stuff.
I've been using my anker soundcore life nc neckband earbuds for about 3 years and still prefer them over all other earbuds I've tried. I bought $200 dollar sony true wireless earbuds and the sound is good but they die very quickly. I can get a 8 hour car drive out of my anker soundcore with noise cancelling and I can't even finish mowing my yard without my sonys dying. I've tried several lg tone neckband earbuds and loved them but they wore out within a year. I where my ankers at work in construction and they get metal shavings on the magnets, I've snagged the cord on steel and lumber hard enough to rip them off my neck and they still work. Three years later they are just now having some minor sound issues. I love my Anker Soundcore Life NC because they are durable, have noise cancelling, long battery life, comfortable for long hours of use, and they don't fall out while I'm running or eating. I will be very sad when they inevitably die.
Thank you. You've told me what I already knew, but needed to hear. Thank you, I am not buying true wireless, just replacing my neckband with another one
My one fear with neckbands are they lasting less due to broken wires. I don't know which would last longer, if TWS at risk of being more fragile, or neckbands at risk of breaking wires.
I have a neckband that i don’t know what is wrong with batterie cause every time that i charge my neckband it doesn’t charge the only way that i can use my neckband is when i plug the cable to charge it, but when i unplug the neck band it doesn’t turn on. Can someone tell me how to resolve this?
I wear my neckband under my helmet on bike, the controls are always accessible and I don't have to pull my phone out to do anything or stop my bike, and with tws there's always a constant worry about them falling out of my ear, even if there was a perfectly fitting tws, it will eventually fall during rigorous activity
Agreed with this so much, reason why I just can't transition to true wireless -- as you said, you need to adjust your life to the gadgets. Just like smartwatches feel like a chore; I stick with Hybrid watch as a nice middleground.
Just make sure if you are getting checked out by an paramedic if the take them off your neck you take them in to your hand and not let them sit it on the cabinet of the ambulances. I lost my favorite pair with that and had to end up going with ones that basically was the same design but seem to be more for left handed ppl. I love the neckband style. Just more life to them. It kills me when you read 12 hour play time on a ear pod. But read closer and it's like 3 hours per charge and the case can charge 4 times per charge. But when you get a neck band and it's says 12 hours play time you will get 12-24 hours of play time. Lots of time when I am doing yard work I am cutting grass, cutting down tress, etc so I am constantly going the whole day so I want my music to be playing the whole time and don't want it to cut out after 3-5 hours. Then have to recharge it with the case.
I use neckband headphones at work. Specifically the LG Harman kardon platinum. I've been using the same set for around 7 or 8 years with no issues! I use them 5 days a week and over 8 hours per day. I can't believe they just keep going! The form factor is absolutely perfect because I quite often have to pause music or whatever I'm listening to and remove the earpiece. Nothing else is going to allow the same convenience that this design does. I specifically like the retractable cords that attach the earbuds. This keeps them out of the way and keeps them from getting damaged while I'm working. Many neckband designs don't have a way to manage the wires so they are likely to be pulled our or damaged. I recommend them to anybody.
Just came across this and you're 100% correct. I went true wireless about two year ago with some inexpensive M-Pow. They were only used at the gym on the elliptical, or going for a walk on my lunch break. No damage to them at all, but now they're out of sync with my phone (one plays about a half second in front of the other, even after repairing and cleaning). Dug out my LG Tones for the first time in about three years, and the sound and comfort was so much better.
This is great! I went down the rabbit hole trying to find a true wireless earphones, but then I realized.... I don't actually want to deal with that... Neckband audio FTW!
You might as well get full headphones the sound quality is indisputably better, you can just drop it around your neck, longer battery life, real physical controls, cheaper, and more durable.
So where can i get neckband headphones now, they seem to have basically disappeared except for noname chinese ones that I have no clue if theyre good or bad. Who even does reviews of them?
as someone who is always on the go (while listening to music sometimes), neckbands are more practical. i don't have to do extra steps to take out / put in the earbuds from the case. Just hang in on the neck and it's done. TWS buds will get in my way as i usually wear jeans. And you know how jeans as is. The pockets is not widely open and the case just get in the way. Believe me. i have both of them.
I agree with this video 100% because I'm having to borrow my mom's wireless ear buds for right now, because my headset is charging, and one major problem, found out she only charged one of them a little and left the other one out of the case, with mine you just plug in and bam! The whole set is charging. No extras like charging a case or anything, plus who charges one earbud and not both? On top of that it was an act of congress to pair them to my android, when I paired my headset it was just scan, pair, and bam I was connected, with these you have to make sure that both earbuds are in, and that the case is open, and touch and hold them both until they beep, headsets are definitely better with charging and pairing, because I've only got one earbud in because her other one is dead, at least with mine both sides are getting charged with a simple plug in, plus the phrase everyone's using them, I'm a fucking Metalhead, all I listen to is rock and metal, so therefore not everyone likes that music, I think everyone will understand where I'm coming from on that one.
I bought one because i noticed wireless Headphones have more battery life than earbuds but almost all of them squish my head when i use it for longger times. So i tried to search for a midpoint between the two then i found that neckband earphones exist.
I've watched so many reviews and comparisons and have been strongly debating getting the new galaxy buds plus, but you've just changed my mind with some basic logic that anyone should understand. Seems like the inconvenience of true wireless is just as much so as fully wired. Now the question is, what neckband is best?
Good points. Are any of the neck band style serviceable. Mainly battery. Right now I use wired because I don’t want yet another thing thrown away because the battery died and can’t be replaced.
Neckbands are easily the most underrated of any bluetooth earbud or headphones. Many awesome options but true wireless are all the rage right now.

Why do you think they're impractical?
So neckbands are wired and wireless at the same time? 😂
@@sowhat...This video kind of covered why they're impractical. I can't think of a single practical benefit of true wireless buds.

Have owned many neckbands and have never had any of these issues. *shrugs*
@@unav-daily I'm keeping ma OnePlus bullet wireless :)

1. While true, it's never been noticable to me (and this is coming from someone who is crazy picky about sound quality (have returned a lot of highly praised quality sounding buds for imperfect sound)
2. out of probably 20 different wired bt earbuds, my head movement has never felt limited with the exception of 1 pair.
3. while definitely a valid point, this can simply be made up for by using a little clip similar to the ones that standard wired earbuds and almost all wired bt earbuds have.
Guess what 2023 and I still buy neckbands because of how easy to operate they are.
You make a good argument - but i hate having stuff on my neck, in addition when its cold and you need a thick jacket and a scarf it wont work.
Never had that problem.
You’re a liar then
i think the best option would be , get a neckband for endurance runs, where you need 20 hours of battery. Get affordable tws for outdoor scenarios when you cant have a cable around your neck and when wires would tangle with something
Why wouldnt it work with a jacket or scarf on? Doesnt that make it more comfy because it's no longer against your bare skin?
OMG! This guy is so on point!!! I bought my first set of neckband bluetooth several years ago. I have replaced twice with another neckband device. They are seamless devices that don't get in the way of my life.
Such a lovely rant. Really tickled my pickle.

But I really miss some of the conveniences of neckbands, particularly being able to just pop them out of my ears and drop them instead of having to take out the charging case.
shinigamilord86 What’s that got to do with asdfrozen’s comment?
True words
My neckband never touches my face and it lasts 50 hours for one charge..
They really were ahead of the curve. But true wireless LOOKS more futuristic...
Only thing I use true wireless earbuds for are sports.
Jaybird x4: cough cough?
Neckbands are even superior to true wireless for sports.
I've heard that Buds slip easily when you're moving around too fast or gather up a lot of sweat.
@@theduckwiththebowtie5419 trash
The other thing about cases for in earbud Bluetooth phones, is the cases consistently used to charge the buds always break eventually.
Putting waxed earbud in pocket is gross. ok
Leaving waxed earbut on tshirt is not gross?
I always forget I'm even wearing a neckband. Comfort is a zero issue. It leans on your clothes not your direct skin.
Same... The feel of wires on neck is annoying
And if the buds fall out - they are held by the neckband. Other earbuds fall out - and good luck on finding them
i'd say try running with a neck band...
different people hv different needs okay?
Hi. I'm from Brazil. I had never thought that way about neckband headphones. Do you know any good and cheap neckband headphones?
Personally I choose true wireless over neckbands due to comfort. I did own a set of neckbands for a few weeks and could never get used to the feeling of the band around the neck.
Can't explain why but no matter what, it was always distracting and never comfortable.
AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED, i tried the TWS and i HATED it, a neckband is 1000x better (cooler imho as well)
Hey Juan. You are hands down killing it on the reviews. Thank you for being real ! What is the best sounding neckband you have tested so far? I'm skipping true wireless now that I've seen this. But I want the best
We need a follow up of this video with a ranking of some of the best Neckbands of the current year
yes please! i've been on the hunt for a good pair for the last few weeks & it feels like companies have abandoned the practical neckband for the flashy true wireless
my biggest gripe with the latter is that the media/volume control UI of such a small device, tends to be quite uncomfortable
followed very closely by the fact that more space to work with leads to better batteries & hardware for additional features like ANC
I'm planning on getting a neckband soon. Any recommendations that's sweat proof for gym ?
oneplus bullets wireless 2
Check out RHA wireless earbuds.
Take a look at AU-Sounds Flex. I did a video on them. Won't link it out of respect to Juan.
If you go to the gym. TWS is the way to go.
LG HBS A100. Check Out its successor is any.
I was intrigued by your comments on bone conduction wireless headset, how they match up to the rest?

I`m just looking for behind the neck headphones mainly for the practical reason (convenience of use)
These days companies are investing less in production and marketing of neckband headphones?
I have a konster stream bt earbuds and whenever i disconnect it from a call it never turns on again and i have to replace it
Tws earbuds are better for me because I have one of them in my ear without my boss noticing. But he would definitely notice a neckband around me.
Yea, stick 🏒 it to the man !👞
Are the neck bands mic good? As in background noise for the other person on other side do they have noise cancelation in the mic itself?
I never even thought about that. Having room to put more and better stuff in sounds like a good idea. Didn't like the idea of neck bands till now
What room are y'all talking about? To put what where?
No optimal solution for me now.
what did you end up doing for running?
Finally, someone said it!
While true, my fat neck doesn't like them.
Hit the gym Goku neck
@@calebwoods9358 A big neck isn't always fat. Some people (generally men more than women) have very thick necks.
Been there.. done that. Never again.
the biggest reason for me to go with wireless earbuds is that they're convenient for me to store
also a side benefit for me is that its easier to share them with friends lol
I'll give you the sharing bit, but I can't being myself to ever use someone else's ear bud LOL.
And when it falls out of your ear it doesn't disappear into the raging surf below. (Ask me how I know.)
Oh I know that feel too, only mine was a sewer grate, so less fun than surfing.
I think one of my favorite things is that Apple also sells a wire to specially connect airpods together...
Probably a 200$ Wire
Hello! I don't know if you'll ever see this but do you still use neckbands in 2022? Which ones do you recommend? I still love neckbands, they last long, no need for pesky cases and you never lose them!
My most reached for "outdoor/workout" earbuds are my 1More dual driver ANC and my Aftershokz.
@@ericolens3 what earphones do you use now?
Wingtips guys, use wingtips they will krep your earphones in your ear all day, if you want to keep it in your ear all day
I've been using my anker soundcore life nc neckband earbuds for about 3 years and still prefer them over all other earbuds I've tried.
I still prefer wired earpiece with high impedance... for my LG of course
what are the best Bluetooth earplug headphones neckband for helmet riding a bike?
Yeesh. These days I try to stick with bone conduction on my bicycle.
Thank you. You've told me what I already knew, but needed to hear. Thank you, I am not buying true wireless, just replacing my neckband with another one
If you like the convenience of a neckband, TWS won't feel like an upgrade.
I know some of you disagree with me, but "you are probably wrong!" -- love the straight talk - you just gained a new subscriber! Keep keeping it real!
You speak for your own practicality.
Neckband is best for me. It's because of the microphone. Basically it can go nearer on your mouth to speak rather than TWS's right?
I've made a good life choice by subbing to this channel!, bonus: more brain cells!
Yes you did! welcome to the club! ;)
Haha nice one 👏
I wear my neckband under my helmet on bike, the controls are always accessible and I don't have to pull my phone out to do anything or stop my bike, and with tws there's always a constant worry about them falling out of my ear, even if there was a perfectly fitting tws, it will eventually fall during rigorous activity
Finally I finded someone who thinks like me ! Regards from Brazil !
I am having a hard time finding any NON bluetooth, wired neckband overear magnet anything... for small head lady. ANY IDEAS ?
Nah I'll stick my Jabra elite 65t... If I want more I'll just get wired KZ earbuds. Never been a fan of having plastic or wires around my neck
the best part about my KZ ATEs is that they sound great while costing the same as my lunch
Klipsch's are leather and oh so nice
3:37 The reason I only order using a mobile app. Thanks Karen 😊
Those Tones are still MONSTER options.
Im with you man. Also for sport its just better using neckbands
Did you call the 2nd one a bone conductor band? Would you put a link where to purchase this?
This is my favorite brand of bone conduction headphones amzn.to/40MYrIe
This is great! I went down the rabbit hole trying to find a true wireless earphones, but then I realized.... I don't actually want to deal with that... Neckband audio FTW!

Could you please tell me why my neck bands not turning on or charging?
I know, it's just we're trading convenience with quality...guilty
as someone who is always on the go (while listening to music sometimes), neckbands are more practical. i don't have to do extra steps to take out / put in the earbuds from the case. Just hang in on the neck and it's done. TWS buds will get in my way as i usually wear jeans. And you know how jeans as is. The pockets is not widely open and the case just get in the way. Believe me. i have both of them.
But, I always put my earphones on my pocket... Even my neckband...
Why...
How does your neckband even fit in your pocket...
You know, you are so right about neck band, I agree that they could better then air pods

How do you handle Nechbands to put into the bag?
Juan Carlos - Great job: informative and entertaining.
This is just pure sense. Wow. Thank you for saying all this.
