Sefwi Obeng-Mim is a farming community in Juabeso District in the Western Region of the Republic of Ghana. The community is located in the middle of the Krokosue Forest Reserve under Sefwi Wiawso Traditional area, one of the biggest forest reserves in Ghana. The Obeng - Mim Stool lands have about 1,500 people, many who are subsistent cocoa farmers. Due to the location of the community, it is difficult in accessing the basic developmental project from the central government, such as providing safe and clean potable water. On behalf of the people and the elders, HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II, Chief of Obeng-Mim Community, seeks your generosity to help to construct one borehole for the people to solve the lack of access to drinking water in the area. kindly Click here to support us.Thank You. www.gofundme.com/f/bring-clean-water-to-the-sefwi-obeng-mim?+share-sheet

Come to KENYA and see what hospitality looks like. Our Nigerian brothers have found home here! We may not be materially wealthy as Europe and USA, but we are rich at heart. God is in AFRICA.... there's LOVE. Thanks Ghana government and other African African countries should follow suit. Let our brothers who want a long holiday in Africa be given free land to build cottages where they can call home. They can fly here for one year, two year holidays, cook using firewood, learn to go hunting and just enjoy themselves. They have been through enough. Africa is your home!

Girl I have been waiting for your video!!! Glad you posted. You are doing a great job and keep it up. Happy you are part of the YOR team. Can they make you minister for tourism? I need to set up a petition for that. You are eloquent and your chemistry with the visitors is incredible. Ghana needs you to spearhead the ministry. What happened to Afeku? Whoever made that switch made a mistake. The new person Barbara is not impressing me at all. Big mistake to transfer Afeku at this crucial period of the YOR. But I need you to take the tourism ministry in the nearest future sweetheart. Take care and thanks for posting vivid videos all the time. Keep em coming.

Hello Ivy, I have just listened to your positive and thoughtful comment at the end of this video. You're right, I feel that it is such an amazing thing and that it should have happened decades ago! However, I think that it needs to be done intelligently rather than emotionally. At the moment, everyone is being motivated by emotion. I can definitely understand the emotion because I feel it myself and I have wanted this to happen for years. It just needs to be better researched and better organised. Ghanaians and African Americans need to understand each other and each other's cultures a lot better before they decide to live together or even 'marry' if you know what I mean.

Eve Mason, I understand your perspective but here's the difference. This is not a husband and wife arrangement. These are the great great grandchildren of family that were forcibly removed from African homes, families and communities over 400 years ago. There is definitely a need to put infrastructure in place to support them coming home.
But it must start somewhere. Sometimes if you wait to put things in place nothing ever happens...
So the best place to start is by acknowledging the irreparable harm that was done to them, opening the doors to them and welcoming them home. Period

@@LornaBlakeEmpower Hi Lorna, that's truly lovely to hear! I hope that you are going to do a video about it. A trip to Africa definitely does that. It changes you for the better. It's so good for the soul - of anyone. Don't you wish you could bottle it and share it out? I'm glad it is happening. The idea of black people collaborating to organise their own holiday destinations in Africa amazes me. I just love thinking about it. I was just expressing concern because I know that it all needs to be done with respect to people's differences. I know people who have been to Ghana and did not appreciate how calm and quiet it can be without all the distractions of the 'developed world'. They also didn't appreciate how conservative and religious the people are. They didn't like the slow pace of getting things done and how long it took to get to places in traffic. None of that bothers me because I love it like that. It's nice to be in a black country that is slow paced, conservative, respectful and happy (joyful). It's better if you are prepared for the African conditions, the African mentality, and the culture etc. Also, Ghanaians have expectations of how they want people to behave and generally conduct themselves in Ghana. People should be told about that before they get there. If not, soon after they arrive. I want this to go really well. x

@@evemason3456, thanks for your awesome feedback! You're so right. I am feeling called to be an ambassador for Ghana/Diasporan relations so I can spread the great news & help people prepare to go home! And always look to give back to our Ghanaian family in ways that can help them continue to grow themselves, their families, communities & the nation. I spoke at a conference there & had the incredible opportunity to be interviewed on Diaspora Network Television while I was there. I am so grateful! Please feel free to check out the interview I shared on my channel. Thanks, love and blessings!

My family is from Barbados on both my mother and my fathers side. My sister and I would like to do African Ancestry to find out where we come from, because as history has it, Africans were taken through or from West Africa and brought to different Caribbean Islands to work the plantation fields. I want to know what part of Africa I am from to better understand my history.

You should take the test with africanancestry.com. They have the most accurate results that show where black people share DNA right down to the specific tribe.

I had the privilege of being in Ghana in June of 23, and if I never go anywhere else in life I can say I went to the place of my ancestors before we were taken captive and forced into slavery. We are a great people in spite of what was perpetrated against us. It's time for us as a people to pay it forward for everything that our ancestors endured from slavery to the Reconstruction to Jim Crow to this present time. We all literally got here on their backs, and we must not ever forget it.
