I am metallica fan and I prefer to listen to The Warning Version of any song they cover because they make it their own and put everything the got into it.
How does this compare to the original? The tempo is very slightly slower, and without the second guitar, TW version is a bit darker and heavier. This version has more of a Black Sabbath vibe rather than the thrash sound of the original. I actually prefer this to the original.

This is my favorite cover out of all their covers they did, in the early years. It's a banger, but this video amps it all up, once you know the little factoids behind it. Like it was only done for a fan request, and this is a "Thank you" private show, for patrons who previously helped them out, and rented this venue for them this night, and played for an invite only crowd, in a foreign country for them. Atlas Rise was an encore song "after" a 2 hour set, and they all collapsed from exhaustion in the green room after the performance. Go back and watch little 13 yr old Ale and her struggle Bus ride during the song. See how much her sisters are putting into this above avg length song, and you will have a different perspective. These things are just some of the reasons they have 1/2M subs and such a devoted fan base. They give of themselves selflessly, constantly, and humbly. 🤘❤🔥🤘

Being a child of the `60's-`70's, spoiled by the GOAT'ers historic creations, inspirations, and influences, it's been a long wait to find a 'new' power trio that rocks so f'ing brilliantly ... and, yes, the sibling connection is just beautiful to witness, hear, and relish.
To have survived the 80's-90's Blah-Pop chaos and lived to appreciate "The Warning" ... I feel blessed 😊

18, 16, and 13! After 2 hours of original music...playing Atlas Rise as a surprise for a fan to end the show? How can you not LOVE this? They nailed this. Great reaction. I believe Pau was only 16 in this video, and I don’t think Lars could have played it any better, plus he doesn’t sing the 2nd lead vocals at the same time like she does. 👍😎
it's early in 2019 so Dany is 19 or almost, Pau is 17 or almost and Ale is just14 at the time
The amazing thing about this cover (and all the cover they played) it's their ability to adapt the song to a 3 pieces band. Dany both played the 2 parts of the guitar (James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett)

These girls are absolutely captivating and addicting , they are as much a joy to watch as they are to listen to and they give 1000% when they are on stage !!!.. even at this young age they are consummate professionals that have been doing this since they were literally children !!!.. if you follow them on social media and you see just how lovable and endearing these girls are , you just can’t help but to fall in love with them and become part of their growing army !!!.. I myself am very protective of them and support them in everything they do .. they’ve already accomplished so much and there’s still so much more they can do it’s almost shocking .. but in the end , they’ve worked really hard to get here and I’m so proud of them !!!
I love this version more than Metallica doing it live. It’s not as BIG a performance, but it’s a lot tighter and punchier. The fact that they pull it off with one guitar instead of 2 is amazing, and Pau singing over this drum part is super impressive, but she makes it look easy. Good reaction as usual. 😊
Super video 🤘One of the things I admire about The Warning was when she said I'm not going to do covers anymore, although those same ones gave them more fans, more visits, etc. to grow faster, but they preferred to do it with their own songs and boy are they achieving it.
When you listen to Metallica you hear the Warning! I have heard this song in a Metallica video. Except for the male vs female voice they are almost excatly alike. TW do impeccable covers.

There's not a lot I can say here other than that this was a real pleasure to watch all the way around, from the great, thoughtful, intelligent and informed reaction to the massive performance. I'm glad you liked it, and thanks, this was great! Yes, just like the great masters of the past like Iommi, Blackmore and Paige, only great live soloing over a bass and drums here. Daniela has worked hard for years and has now become a real professional frontwoman as well as lead guitarist, and was only 18 here as I understand it, and Paulina 16. Even if they were older, it is still remarkable. You can see the hard work they have all put in.
Pau's ability to beat the hell out of her kit and still sing on key and with powerful vocals still amazes me. Here she is not doing a simple beat, she is exerting so much effort into her drumming yet still sings on key and with projection. I can't even walk and talk without my voice going all over the place. Such an incredible drummer, also Dany and Ale also kill it, so tight on the timing and so in tune with each other they are simply phenomenal.
My absolute fave cover of theirs (still think it's better than "Enter Sandman"),such a savage performance from the girls - damn I wish they'd come here to NZ soon.

I heard this exact version of the song first, then their video in The Warning Cave before I watched a live performance of Atlas Rise by Metallica (can't recall time/place but was professionally recorded and in a stadium). I do like The Warning version better because of Ale's bass, Dany's guitar stands out more, and the vocal trading between Dany and Pau.
This recording was 4 years ago now and the last cover that they played live. They were so tired after playing for 2 hours but still knocked it out of the park. They have come so far since then. The new live version of “Animosity” which was recorded in the summer is amazing and has good shots of Pau on the drums. So worth watching.

"The Warning" is undoubtedly a phenomenon, since being so young they have dedicated a lot of time and effort to be instrumentalists of professional capacity, Impressive performers on stage (I have had the great pleasure of seeing them live at Theater Metropólitan in Mexico City, an incredible concert) and as creators of their own lyrics and musical arrangements. They are not just a great band but they are also great people and very proud to be mexicans, when they play outside the country they let know the audience that they come from México and they feel great inspiring people and get people together with their music. Theres an amazing story behind this performance. In 2017 they said they did not want to be known as a cover band so they would not record or perform any more covers. Move ahead 3 years and they are doing a second night at the Whisky and they are told its the owners birthday and he loves the song Atlas Rise. The girls add it as the encore song that night even though they had not played it in 3 years. What a strong encore to a 23 song set.
I would like to hear you talk about a drummer's posture. The Warning drummer just seems so relaxed, compared to some drummers you see. Many seem to hunch over the kit, where she is upright and loose.
This is one of my favorite covers that The Warning has ever played. All 3 of them absolutely killed it. I like the original version of the song as well and I think Dany and Pau did a great job of sounding a little bit like James Hetfield, without the Het-isms obviously cuz only he does those lol. Dany absolutely nailed the guitar solo cuz it sounds very similar to the original but took a few liberties as well, very impressive cover all around.

There's an A/V mashup of the two bands: ruclips.net/video/BrJPgQFXKBM/видео.html. The vocals obviously sound different, but I think TW wins here by virtue of having two lead singers who lend different, but complementary, vocal color to the song. Dany and Pau also sound like they're in a more comfortable part of their vocal range; Dany in particular can pour it on without having to go above her natural range. Metallica has two guitars, of course, but while the difference is noticeable, it's remarkably small; Dany does a spectacular job picking her way between the two lines, and during solos, Ale provides a mix of rhythm guitar and bass -- which obviously means that Pau has to be spot on and add something more.
There was a comment in that video that TW actually sounds cleaner on guitar by virtue of having only one.
This is the greatest original/cover ever !!! The ladies are amazing singing along with the original bands music !!! And the cuts between the view of the ladies & the guys concerts, just makes it 10x better !!!

For me? For me, the original is kinda boring. Having heard this first, as I was there, I haven't even been able to sit through the entire original. This, I can, and often do, watch over and over. This was the cherry on top of the best concert I have ever been to.
I specifically went looking for a drummer reaction to this band because I think the drummer is so bloody GOOD!

Ale plays a 4-string Spector at 14 & 15. By 16, she switched to a 5-string Spector.
If you see her playing a Fender (or Gibson on their independent official videos), she’s 13 or younger (a red Mustang earlier on)

Totally exhausted after 22 songs, the fans asked for one more. Metallica's 'Atlas Rise' - because no band in the world does it better, except for Metallica. As one of the most intricate, it is very difficult for any band to do it justice. For many, it is even better than Metallica's original and it's considered a treat to hear The Warnings version. All hail the New Mozart's of Rock.

Not familiar with that song but they sounded pretty amazing.
I personally like this version more than the original, the sound is raw and Ale´s bass sound very deep and strong, Pau´s battery sounds great too as Danny's guitar, so in sync all of them. Maybe the vocals lack some strength because the original it's a male voice but in the end this performance it's fenomenal! Every time I listen to his video I got chills!

This is Terry VonCannon. Great reaction Andrew. The girls of the warning are awesome are all great players. You definitely need to listen to the original version from Metallica. It's from the Hardwired to Self Destruct album. A really kick ass song with a return of the guys to their more thrashy roots. 🤘

The bridge and solos sound more like Black Sabbath. It has this amazing old-school rock vibe...and as you mentioned - a bit funky.
Have you heard of The incredible bongo band album bongo rock, there's an amazing history behind the album and some of the best musicians were used at the time, the drummer Jim Gordon is held in high esteem, and he's been called one of the greatest drummers of all time

Gran reacción, algunos dicen que The Warning no toca música pesada... y no sabne que es porque no han visto videos como este, donde ellas demuestran que pueden tocar lo que les apetezca con calidad. Existen 2 videos de Atlas Rise, uno en su cueva de ensayo que también te recomiendo ya que tiene mejor sonido.

This is probably my favourite performance and there are many great ones of their own songs as well. But they for me really nailed this song in their way the vocals are as they should be for this song and the playing is just hard and driven and super. I love it’s a long song with lots of instrumental sections. I could listen to this from them over and over. I wish it was like 20 min. I love all there music but maybe in a year or so on their next album I would love to hear them pound out a couple original 7-8 min long driven metal type tracks like this with lots of instrumental sections of just playing hard. Like Metallica does and Rush does now and then. Just go for it.

You have been Warned and welcome to the rabbit hole. I have been lost down here for a year and have no intent on finding the Exit yet. Can I suggest a new couple of new original numbers (of over 40 banging originals) Choke or Disciple. For their first Viral try Enter Sandman 2014 then follow it up with their cover (for the Metalica's anniversary album the Blacklist) of Enter Sandman. Alessia Cara and the Warning. Their record label suggested the collaboration. The song was arranged by the Warning. Metalica asked them to put their on spin on it. They had 2 weeks 1 week was to record it, Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and Covid was everywhere. Can I suggest you Check out their TedX, Dany 16, Pau 14, Ale 12, Much respect. A fellow Kiwi.

An early reactor to one of their early videos stopped the video after a shot of Paulina from behind and to the side to comment, "Who plays drums in HEELS!" LOL As you note, the trio format isn't easy to pull off without sounding thin. Think Cream, Rush, the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Of all the guitar trios out there now, I think The Warning does it, if not the best, better than almost anyone. They have improved a lot since this video.

I will point this out about “why don’t they put away their cellphones”. One, they earned this show as a reward for Kickstarter. Second I’m not sure if you realize this, put without those kind of people recording on their cellphones it’s possible you never hear of The Warning. Those fan videos are the only live videos for a few years. The narrow minded view of “put your phone away” is really not smart, the band probably is much smaller without them, especially when they were independent--would they even be signed yet had it not been for fans sharing those early videos of The Warning playing at small little gigs. Those videos were free promotion for a very very young band at the time.
