I met Billy and Jimmy in Zavvi Oxford Street 2008 in a special limited number wristband entry event. Didn't get long, but I was totally star struck. Could literally only answer my name and the words 'yes' to his questions. Was the the greatest day if my life. He signed American Gothic EP and then I went to the O2 to watch their 2hr performance at the front! Memories I'll never forget. I've literally binge watched all these today!! Last week i was at Wembley. 5th time seeing them and still always in ore of their talent. I will never take for granted or tire of the Pumpkins. Mayonnaise on my wedding day and I'll likely be burried to the same!
I saw SP last night and have been a fan for 30+ years. I think if Billy played the guitar and sang in front of me: Not only would i have a frozen smile forever.. But i would probably faint....his voice is beyond blessed. Moves my soul though time and space. If i was reincarnated again...my soul would know i loved SP!! And be a fan all over again!! Thank you for making my life so great with your music!!
I just entered my second phase of machine recording device to learn more about recording live instruments.. I never knew how tuff it was going to get the farther away from our points of origin. As kid growing up in the 80s we had the basic education and technology that would allow everyone to change their future. At the same time we had many DARKforces involved that had worked to break down the family structure and had hurt American and the world..
You cannot put a price on what he is doing here in this series. Yes, there is a promotional element to it, but this act of playing his guitar in public and really connecting with everyday people from all walks of life - this is what’s missing in the world. All of the dominant forces and narratives in present day society are geared towards dividing and isolating us from one another - they create irresolvable conflicts and tell us we have to pick a side. The symbolism of what Billy is doing here represents the antidote to all of that.
Billy posts this video even though it contains footage of him forgetting some words of his (and the Pumpkins' of course) song Mayonaise . Don't think many artists would want others to see their mistakes. Very cool Billy.
Also, I have to say that this signature model he’s done with Yamaha sounds absolutely amazing. I actually didn’t like the look of it at first, looks a bit too much like a classical guitar for me - but then you get a closer look at the styling and detailing and it’s really quite pretty in an understated way. And the sound of it is incredible. The presence, balance and clarity is amazing.

I want to do a youtuber get together this summer up near Traverse City,Michigan, I know of a campground that is open for anything goes and has a small stage for music. Sometime around first week of July so there will also be the National Cherry Festival going and the National Sleeping Bear Dunes near by. Love to see you come up for it.

Awesome to know Billy is a real person that gets it. I do tons of these small town trips. It's easy to get on a plane and fly to whatever destination at 30 000 feet. However you never get to meet the real salt of the earth people unless you explore America one small town at a time
