- In 2004, Billy Corgan came to Taos, New Mexico alone. He was introduced to Robert Mirabal and forged a bond. It led to Billy's first ever solo show and an experience these two talk about for the first time in over ten years.

Robert, where have you been? The world still needs your music, man.
@revolution underground
I AGREE 100%👏👊🤙🤘
absolutely so beautiful. there is perfection in chaos. there is a rawness that clinches our.vulnerability. that's life.. and its a beautiful romance between me and you. billy corgan was there thru my destructive past.. and now looking back.. it was a beautiful disaster... the waves, the light, the contrast and color, texture.. it all happened for a reason and I'm a stronger individual for it!! thank you Billy Corgan, in more ways than one!!!
Love Robert Mirabal's music!
Been a fan since the 80s and never got to meet him because im too poor to leave my city.lol... either way, thanks Billy.
This was one of my favorite episodes from the 30 day-and what a beautiful place Taos is! I love the dynamic between the two of them as well
I just happened to be in Taos that weekend for my anniversary and got to see him play with this guy in a hotel lobby. We were sitting in the restaurant not far from him before he played without even knowing it was him. I have always been a fan of his and was bummed that I didn't see him in the 90's. Now I can scratch that off my bucket list.
Oh wow, never knew Billy and Robert collaborated at one point. Both are such great musicians
Two of my favorite Artist !
I always loved your music Robert

Beautiful piano song and I LOVE that ring.
I'll miss accompanying you guys on the road ...
Watching this again. I heard where they were trying to go musically before they realized it themselves. Then when they got there together, heaven, hell and earth all became one. So beautiful. Billy was heaven, i was hell and robert was the earth.
love this!
I wonder if he would consider putting Robert in a solo or a background part on his new album.
My birthday is 2-7-77, I pray I get to experience a session artistically again. I miss it. Billy is my WEE, hero ❤️. *sighs so super hard
my god the ending collaboration. how they just fuse into one. each the piano and the flute beautiful pieces of music on their own. but blended it transcends

"I'll tell you what we're going to have to do...Jazz Odyssey."
Time to put that album out, no?
Billy played solo at the Viper Room in 1998
I thought that was Al Jourgensen in the background in the kitchen lol
So
Ever coming to CA? :D
1:51 Billy is cold
It's so true
Everybody expects him to play Zero
What happened when I saw him in zwan
It's like no this is zwan not smashing pumpkins
I guess it's, complement on song we like
Be open to his new stuff
I like all kinds of music
so I guess how I still follow him & like him
Cody S plays whatever he feels like playing
He doesn't like being told what to do
So he should do whatever he wants
We just suggest
Good Medicine...
Is Billy referring to "Chicago Kid' when he mentions the unreleased 2004 solo album?
Richo Loffo Gotta be! He mentioned never releasing it, so I think you're spot on.
He stated specifically it was an "unreleased solo album".... Was Chicago Kid supposed to be a solo album? It's been a while since I came across this info.
Richo Loffo Yes, it was supposed to be a solo album. This is from a 2014 interview... In the second question, he mentions it in his response.

Billy should let that beard grow
Is this the brother Robert he was talking about
Sigh.. talk about the perfect time Billy could have performed an acoustic version of Sad Peter Pan with the beautiful flute part being done with it.
He has different color hand?!' Interesting.
Check out the pictures on his solo album. It was so good too.
Also, his first band was called the Marked for this very reason.
stormtrooperjojo I think it's a birth mark I could be wrong. Nevertheless a brilliant muso and artist and guitarist is wpc
thats pretty much how his (solo/experiment)...shows are now.....awkward.......here man take these...?...wait don't take those man lol
Jesus, tune that piano!
MIRABAL STOP WITH F-WORDS. BE AS GOOD NATIVE VIRTUAL.
