2024 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards | Usher, Victoria Monét, Lil Baby Honored

On June 27, ASCAP awarded its Voice of the Culture Award to multi-platinum, Grammy-winning global icon USHER at a private party on the rooftop of the London West Hollywood in Los Angeles. Rising R&B star and top songwriter Victoria Monét was awarded the ASCAP Vanguard Award, and Lil Baby earned his third ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award.
The event also celebrated the songwriters and publishers of the most-performed ASCAP hip-hop, R&B and gospel songs of the past year. Winners included Leon Thomas for R&B/Hip-Hip and Rap Song of the Year “Snooze;” Brian Mark Johnson and Jennifer Louise Johnson for Gospel Song of the Year “Goodness of God;” and Publisher of the Year Warner Chappell Music for publishing 18 of the winning songs.
