I thought he'd get an award or something, can't believe he wasn't even given recognition. Impromptu recognition for a guy who made music with such deep meaning. A song with a very important message behind it and with great relation especially to the black community. Opening the world's eyes to what it's really like to be a black man (prsn) in America, but BLACK entertainment couldn't even acknowledge that. They instead choose to recognise and give awards to mumble rappers

I've had the luck of seeing Childish Gambino perform live twice in my life. Wild performances both times that made thousands of people go absolutely batshit for him. The guy's insanely talented, from comedy stand-up, to tv roles and acting, to writing and producing his own shows, to singing, rapping and dancing. And he's incredibly shy about it all when he's praised for the work he does, and prefers to pass the accolades off on to someone else. Gotta love this man.

This is a moment that I would've actually loved to see live instead of watching a 4 minute clip of it on the RUclips channel for a network I no longer support. Donald Glover is damn near like a younger reincarnation of Jamie Foxx... a true "renaissance man" when it comes to the entertainment industry. Both can act exceptionally well, both have great voices, and much like Jamie Foxx, Donald Glover also used to do stand up comedy and actually had shows on Comedy Central as well waaaaaaaaaay before he got well established in rapping and singing. I've always looked up to Jamie Foxx and have been following his career since the 90's when he was putting out albums, doing stand up for Def Comedy Jam, and had his own sitcom. To see this moment is just absolutely amazing! And even though I don't support BET anymore, thank you for allowing this to happen. Ya just don't know how monumental some moments can be to one person while everyone else looks past it as if it's a common occurrence.
