What makes Floor so successful is that you believe every word she says or sings. She is so empathetic that she can put herself in every story and presents it with appropriate feeling.Since 2013 I am a big Nightwish and Floor fan, but since I lost my dad in Afghanistan in 2018, she is my medicine and pulls me out of my hole again and again.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my long time friend after he came back from Afghanistan. He Had PTSD and struggled to cope.
In 2021 he was found hanging from ceiling. He hanged himself 2 days before Christmas Eve. That was a dismal Christmas for he's family ,friends and even City where we live had a silent moment in Christmas mass at Church.
But hardest it was to see how badly my friends family took that suicide.
He was a soldier in Finnish army, but was in Rapud Deployment forces, and had relatively easy tour in Afghanistan compared to Americans and Canadians. But he's battalion took direct fire and they had 2 soldier's that wounded, 1 died. But those statistics are low in 4 year span, many ombre was lost even in Nato's police troops.
@@janihaavisto79 PTSD is something diabolical - it can affect anyone, anytime and anywhere. Everyone thought that I was just grieving and therefore withdrawing until a teacher had the suspicion and made sure that I was treated.In the end, it was an affected paramedic who had put me on the right path.Meanwhile my medication is called music, especially music from Nightwish or Floors Solo Songs and that makes me free - slowly but every day a bit more.

Hello Christi. Indeed what a good song of Floor. Her soulmate Dianne van Giersbergen ( ex Xandria and in Ayepreon) came last week with a new fantastic song ‘ After the Storm’. What a singer. I think 1 of Floor's charming qualities is that she has lived life, and has fealty every motion under the sun.
Whether it's about relationships ,health, emotions of being mother, or whatever.
She's had many obstacles along the way and overcome those so well. I mean in normal life she's very private and loves peace and quiet of the forests she can enjoy at her home estate in Sweden. And like she's told that she is Hyper sensitive that forest must be feel like personal therapist and doesn't charge 120 euros/hrs. LoL.
Congratulations to Floor winning that Dutch pop song reward. It is amazing that before Beste Zangers she hardly never did pop song covers even, now this beautiful lady is singing and writing her own songs and still doing new songs with Tuomas for NW. And touring.
Can't even comprehend how much talent and passion towards music that requires ,it has to be exhausting for normal pop/rock/metal singer just to do songs in own genre, but be able to do radio hits for other genre's as well. I mean ,HOW?if
When talents were distributed God(or whatever being sure messed up and gave Floor 3 peoples worth of talent) I bet there is at least 2 humans roaming the world that has no talents at all because some destiny or other worldly thing gave Floor their gifts as well. 😂 🤣
Joking aside, even with practice 99.9% of people won't get that talented in so many aspects. She better not try to win a lottery like EVER. All the luck in the world was used the day she was born, and second time when she found Hannes in her life. 3rd and most luckiest thing was Freja I bet. How cool it would be I your mom was Floor "doorkicker" Jansen? And last time she used all the luck for the whole year I feel was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and got away with it with so minor surgery. The C word is so scary whenever you hear it coming from your doctor's mouth. And it does not care how fit, wealthy, happy or lucky you are. It will in many cases take over your body so fast that by the time it's found out it's either too late to fix, or it has spread in so many p,aces that healing will take a long time.
Obviously we all are very happy to have her in our lives. She's amazing storyteller, and feels like she's a robot when you watch that how much she has done in her lifetime so far. She's like our Scandinavian Ann Wilson. And most likely she will be remembered long time after she decides to retire.

Floor is a highly sensitive person and has the vocal versatility to match as many emotions as she wants, which make her storytelling abilities on a whole other level, metal or other genres
One of my all time favorite songs is Boths sides now, by Joni Mitchel. Now I have heard a redition that is fantastic. A duett from the show Hver gang vi møtes. You will not regrette checking it out.

This was written before her cancer diagnosis and operation but I'm sure she was influenced by her burnout in 2011/12.
