Great job, nice to see a "happy Favorit", at the end. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I also have a similar one in the works but as a pick-up model. driven only 100,000 kilometers but not driven in a barn for more than 15 years

Very nice! Engine looks very similar to the 1.4 MPi from my Fabia.

      Pretty much the same engine

@@EuroTrashLife yes, it's just more modern like fuel injection instead of carburetor, Volkswagen gearbox, drive by wire instead of cable etc

Its what makes it a good build instead of just fixing up an old banger, also no problems in the future

Nice job guys. Can you tell me which piston kit brand do you use for the engine, also will be helpful if you can give me website for online orders .Thank you in advance

Pistons are original 136 from 1990, I bought OEM piston rings and a Vika cylinder insert. You can pretty much get most of these parts on skoda-parts.com

@@EuroTrashLife does it work well with víka inserts? These engines had typically paired pistons with inserts to keep tolerances as tight as possible.

@@Papinak2 They work fine so far, I gapped the new piston rings to the Vika sleeve and no problem, these motors dont mind the tolerances so much
