#1: Do not waste your time with a "one way" interview
    #2-#12: Repeat #1.

Just curious, what has been your negatives on one-way interviews? I say this as I have some internet connectivity issues typing this :>)

@@jimjams8320They are extremely awkward and is a red flag.

As someone who doesn't have a computer, doesn't use office technology it's like you are speaking Chinese. I use and have used my phone for everything. This interview of course is not compatible with my phone or probably any phone. I understand enough of this to see where this is going. Watching this video is making this a bigger monster in my head

I've done two of these in the last couple of weeks, and I REALLY liked these so much more than the in-person interview that ended up being one-way anyway becasue the "weren't allowed" to talk with me beyond asking the questions on their sheet. That was so weird!

I’m sorry but you sound crazy. Talking to another person is ALWAYS more natural than talking to the camera at the top of my laptop screen. I’ve given speeches, presentations, and spoke to entire panels of interviewers that was SO much more comfortable than this one-way interview crap. I recently did a hirevue interview and seriously almost withdrew my application after that BS was over. Made me actually appreciate the respect my current employer showed me during the application process.

There's only step when handling these type of interviews: don't do them.

@CassThompsonConsulting no offense but YOU should be discouraging this sort of impersonal one-way video interview instead of making video of tips to "CRUSH" that type of interview. WHAT has this world gone to? The more technologically advanced we get the WORSE we are becoming as human beings. 8+ BILLION people on Earth as we're WORSE than ever. MANY interviewers have NO idea what they are doing; the type of questions to ask or the WRONG type of people to interview candidates. MANY are asking definition rather than "how-to" questions. THIS is NOT good. Tell them to STOP it and become more PEOPLE oriented. It is plain LAZINESS.
