    Wrestling is the important aspect of MMA, yet the least understood by the casual fans.
    Great breakdown of wrestling basics guys. 👍

    Needed this video. I started mma after training muay thai and bjj, so the mma clinch is definitely my weakest part of mma. Great vid!

    This is a great video - the cage wall is a major part of MMA fighting, good to see it treated as such here.

    Wall wrestling, one of the most underrated aspects of MMA, yet one of the biggest reasons why wrestlers dominate the UFC and every other organization with cages.

Just wondering are you planning on doing anymore real life scenarios/self defence type vids? seems alot of training/ring/cage stuff (which is good dont get me wrong), just had a thought and reminice of older videos. Cheers ! Thanks again

    So I have a question for anyone who has practiced martial arts for a while. I'm looking to pick up a martial art while in college, and I really don't know what I should train. I'm a big guy ( 6'1 and pretty muscular ) and I have a background in wrestling, so I don't know if I should study a striking martial art and become a more well-rounded fighter, or just become really good at grappling and submissions. Anyone with some experience have an opinion?

    • @NickRHT
      @NickRHT 6 лет назад

      matthew farmer hey,dude.it all depends on yer preference or what u think looks more enticing to you .i did Muay Thai for a couple years.which has the striking aspect, along with clinch work and some grappling to an extent.i also do kenpo karate,and have done some jiujitsu. but go with what u think u'd like more both striking and grappling are great arts and one or the other is better than none,hope that helps.good luck

    So does a situation. alter against bigger opponents?????

    •  5 лет назад

      Pull their legs out towards you so it lowers their height, then you can do the same things and you'll destroy their strong base. In that situation you probably want to take them down asap anyway, a longer fighter is always harder to deal with when they can hit you. Height is almost fully negated on the ground.

    Hey Shane, I've been practicing MMA for les than 4 months and I haven't done much sparring. I am nervous because I'm hot headed and sometimes I let anger get the best of me. I know I have to keep a cool head but it's a bit difficult. Do you have any advice for me? BTW I really enjoy watching your videos, I learn a lot from them. Congrats for your channel!

    • @sayto_00
      @sayto_00 6 лет назад +1

      Go with someone who's good and when you get hard headed the guy will cut you down to size, then you'll know not to let anger get the better of you. I can only assume you get angry when you make mistakes so if you're not a dick you shouldn't be venting out frustration on guys you're better than.
      Also in Sparring it may get competitive but never to the point of genuine anger. That's to say, if you hurt someone you lay off them to recover, vs sucker punching someone after the bell due to sheer anger. You may (hopefully) be mistaking competitiveness with bad beef anger.
      If you do let sheer anger get the better of you, you're a dick, simple as that. But I think you're mistaking competitive drive to "win" with anger. However, it's still something you should work on controlling.
