Huge Diamondhead, Blitzkrieg, Ritual, Quartz, etc fan. One of the best NWOAHM (New Wave of American Heavy Metal) Bands I've heard. Keep the tracks rolling.
sometimes i came to Century Media to search for new songs to listen, and maybe discover a new band. I'm VERY, VERY happy that i could find this one! Amazing!
I'm listening to this & I can't not compare it with Toxic Holocaust (if Toxic went the stoner rock route). This is outstanding, non-ironic oldschool rawk. These guys definitely deserve my $.
Toxic Holocaust has a more crossover sound than these guys. Both bands are influenced by 80s bands, but Night Demon are inspired more so by Maiden while for Toxic it's DRI or SOD.
***** I'm also I metalhead, yet I like music from all sorts of genres, including what you call "college rock." Wheezer does have two albums that are considered classics, something you can't say for 99% of metal bands.
***** Tell that to music critics who are much better versed in music and music theory than a pewdiepie fan. And Wheezer is far from emo. Oh, and Bruce Dickinson's voice is annoying af.
***** No, I listen to mostly metal, rap, and prog, nice try though. Not everyone who disagrees with you automatically listens to Nickleback. Stop trying to act like a 40 year old neckbeard, child.
I'm a big fan of the production on the song. I can't quite put my finger on what it is but the guitar's tone seems to have more of a punch and the instruments sound natural and less processed. I like this very much. Nice old school speed/heavy feel to it.
The guitar is also a classic 6 - string that hasn't been downtuned to the sub-basement. That makes a big difference. The EQ is a more natural curve; and the guitar still has midrange in it. I think that's the older/less processed tone you're hearing. Most modern , ultra-downtuned guitar tones are absolute crap nowdays. This has some life to it!
MARSHOMEWORLD mm, downtuning isn't always bad, a lot of bands do great things with low tunings. I will agree with you on the EQ part though, the whole "scooped" guitar tone, the way a lot of bands try to do it today is awful. The guitars have no definition and they drown out the bass. the only time your mid frequencies should be below 12 o'clock is if its in the chain before the amp and youre boosting the mids in the amps eq or the effects loop. I personally play a 7-string, straight into my amp, and I keep my mids cranked all the way up, probably due in part to the fact that EMG's scoop the hell out of your tone anyways. But, regardless of whether Im playing death metal in the low end or old school heavy metal more in the mid range, it sounds good. Sadly, the trendy bands these days give extended range instruments and low tunings a bad name. The old school melodeath bands have used them for a long time, as well as bands like Nevermore, with really great sounds, in my opinion.
well, tone wise, I think the newest Cannibal Corpse album has some really sick tones on it, a little bit sharper than some of their previous stuff, and going back just a few years, the last Obscura album sounded amazing as well. There are plenty of other examples, they just aren't coming to me at the moment. I think part of the problem is that Axe Fx and that customizable amp modeling thing are becoming a lot more popular with people who dont know how to properly utilize them, and even though theyve gotten better, they're not as good as an old fashioned tube amp if you dont know what you're doing with them. I guess some other, fairly obvious examples of good downtuned tones are the new Carcass and At the Gates albums, and the newest Insomnium record, which is beautiful in every way
Some of my faves would include ( Tube amp/cabinet/smart eq choices all) Carcass- "Necrotism", Bolt Thrower-"4th Crusade", Morbid Angel-"Domination", Cannibal- "KILL", Thurgathon- "Fhtagn-Nagh Yog Sothoth", Gorefest-"Erase", Septic Flesh - "The Great Mass" (I suppose the most modern release on my list here) and of course the pioneers that got us there; Sabbath, Pentagram, Candlemass, etc.
Love it! Rock on and may you enjoy continuing success! Saw you guys in Phila. and you were amazing!!! I heard the drummer is part Native American, he really looks it! Great hair!
Sounds to me like their influences are pre-thrash. I'll say Tank and Riot riffs and songwriting style, with Diamond Head vocals, but better. I'd buy the vinyl.
I scrolling up and down this thread to see if could find anyone in the comments that caught this as well!! I was like this was soo much like "Hit the Lights". I can hear it so much too.
Intro sounds like Metallica's "The Four Horsemen" with Iron Maiden's "Iron Maiden" riff. I don't know if it's coincidence or a rip off but sounds nice.
Jarvis is an amazing vocalist , he fits in the band completly and he is also a remarkable person , i met that guy last thursday and he left me totally breathless
I just ordered the vinyl record for this album. Can't wait to give it a spin! \m/
+MetalJesusRocks You should see them live. They're pretty good. Also, fancy seeing you here. Sup.

Nice old-school feel. The riff that runs through it reminds of "Helpless" by Diamond Head.
empressmish Of course - this band couldn't come up with anything original if their lives depended on it.
or Mean Machine from MOTORHEAD
@@hinjurock In the words of Jarvis Leatherby himself "I'd rather listen to something good than something original"
@@metalthrashingmadman1599
Jarvis Leatherby (a.k.a. Jeff Hershey) is a big poser.
@@hinjurock lol 4 years later and you still hatin'. Get over it Mr. Petty Pants.
NWOBHM but modernized. It's vintage circa 1979-84, but it's updated.
sometimes i came to Century Media to search for new songs to listen, and maybe discover a new band.
I'm VERY, VERY happy that i could find this one!
Amazing!
They sound like a modern armored saint but they have their own attitude. This is great!
Nailed it.
Nice old school heavy metal. I've been listening to a lot of NWOBHM lately and this bands fits right in. \m/
+Ken Wheeler A litlle of Motorhead and Black Sabbath. I like this guys! Nice ND!!!
Night Demon RULES!!!!!!! Right into my KICK ASS METAL playlist. ROCK ON!!!!!!!
I saw these guys open for Carcass and I've been a huge fan ever since. Seriously kick ass.
"new" old school!!!! fantastic!!!
Amazing!!! "Hit the lights""helpless"
Love this stuff hard working band old school sound. Makes me wanna start a band again nwobhm style
I'll be your singer.
Sounds awesome! More like this!
Love this. Very reminiscent of some NWOBHM, particularly Axe Crazy by Jaguar.
One of my favorite three piece heavy metal band s

I've heard some stellar downtuned tones; just not recently.

Love it! Rock on and may you enjoy continuing success! Saw you guys in Phila. and you were amazing!!! I heard the drummer is part Native American, he really looks it! Great hair!
Guitarist plays left handed in this video and right handed live...talented
BRUTAL!!!!!🤘
I'm just really sad thinking about how no album will top this one in 2015.
you were very, very wrong on that prediction, thank Fuck
ckhgator I wouldn't go as far as "thank fuck", but I certainly was wrong. Encyrcle was the fucking shit.
I just fell in love
Nossaaa muito heavyy
Excelent....long live metal
I still think about that pre chorus from time to time. Even if this is this bands only good song its a banger
Live Raw Power Metal... Catch them Live, you will not be disappointed...
Sounds great.. like a newer Diamond Head... Definitely enjoying the jams...
Paul Sanchez Like a newer Diamond Head with really shitty vocals, painfully average amateur guitar leads and horribly generic songs.
your comment is everywhere... get a life dammit!
newer Diamond Head is FAR better than this. Their latest album is excellent.
Ill have to check it out.. Who knew my lil comment could generate such interest..
Not gonna lie. I'm high as hell on a quarter oz. Of shrooms and these guys are my new favorite. What sweat, and oh, but the carnage.
Focken awesome band, they are even better live \m/
Can't wait to play with em on the 07.Sep. in Germany
I think they sound so much like enforcer
Really cool video!!
I love to see a guy put that kinda energy without a bunch of un necessary clowning. Just metal.
A Corpse Without Soul de mercy full fate
Does Night Demon have a song Called "Set and Deploy," that sounds like "Seek and Destroy?"
Give me a freakin Break
Sounds to me like their influences are pre-thrash. I'll say Tank and Riot riffs and songwriting style, with Diamond Head vocals, but better. I'd buy the vinyl.
awesome
Thats pretty fkn badass Mr Jarvis
The riff of Motorhead's Mean Machine
+Frank „Outsider“ Laustin right! i found the same riff in "Hell - On Earth As It Is In Hell".
aaahhhhh!!!!!!
NIIIIIIICE
THE NEW HEAVY METAL WAVE IS BACK
Качественное звучаниееееееее охуенчик,парни!!!!!
Don't know why, but when the vocalist sings "Screams in the night" I keep hearing "Hit the lights" from nowadays 'Tallica concerts. :D
I scrolling up and down this thread to see if could find anyone in the comments that caught this as well!! I was like this was soo much like "Hit the Lights". I can hear it so much too.
Now that I read it I can't get it out of my head, first I would have rather said they sound like Tygers Of Pantang
A buddy of mine on a guitar forum said his wife thought they were singing "Squids in the night"!
HELL YEAH! 🤘
Kick ass
Intro sounds like Metallica's "The Four Horsemen" with Iron Maiden's "Iron Maiden" riff. I don't know if it's coincidence or a rip off but sounds nice.
Twisters Music says Puh-Pow!!!
очень не плохо
хотя для новой команды-зачет
jarvis has mercury running thu' his veins...
they sound like 1981....like them
Kinda makes me think of the opening for the Lost Boys
Probably just as good as dream evil
what stile of music is this band ?
Rocii Biersack its heavily influenced by new wave of British heavy metal
heavy metal, just keep it simple with the subgenres and such...
This is SO Diamond Head, it's scary!
BOMMMMMMMMM
if they had a better vocalist, this band would be a force to reckon with!!!
Jarvis is an amazing vocalist , he fits in the band completly and he is also a remarkable person , i met that guy last thursday and he left me totally breathless
Very Iron Maiden indeed....
HOW ARE THEY DOING THIS
NO ONE EVER MANAGES TO DO THIS
Not Too Shabby!😈
Ace Frehley pin, beautyfull (and the biggest one! Lol..)
Night Demon fucking rule!!!
I listened this just to know what would happen to the girl.
this band is a standup bass away from being a psychobilly band
is it me or the guitarist look like krist novoselic ?
Diamond Head 80% + Metallica 20%.
Anyway sounds good.
Borja Sánchez Larrañaga And 100% garbage.
Diamond Head and Metallica much? ^^
it sounds like Metallica - Hit the lights from Kill em all album :D
It remind me the Metallica cover of Green Hell
kind of metallica hit the lights.....
NWBOHM
Iron maiden/Metallica anyone :)
Kinda sounds like hit the lights by Metallica
This sounds like priest
выврволо
leave the past in the past...
Music is good and old-school sounding - the vocals ? Kinda hate 'em!! :P
meh. i want new and better. not old and rehashed. ac/dc went out of style after their 5th album or so and that simple shit should b left 2 them
Cheesy af!
Diamond Head rip-off :P
is good but ridicously unoriginal
I cant get through the vocals, not a fan, but the music is pretty good, very maiden tech, but you're right, completely unoriginal
very dated, competent though i suppose.
Metallica kill em all ripp-off,,ehh 6/10
haha....hit them lights!!!
Vocalist is very underwhelming...
Diamond Head copy
Diamond Head Rip off
Too much like Metallica..
Gotta find your own style
