For your broken A600 (so not the one you just received), you should look for leaky SMD caps, this would make a great repair video :)

You can get black glue sticks for the glue gun. Handy for fixing black cases.
That Weller soldering station looks nice...I need to upgrade my cheap soldering iron but honestly, it works really well, it just feels and looks cheap. So I guess I want to upgrade my soldering iron, more than need.

(Amiga600/Amiga1200 are from the time of the capacitor plaque, also still have to repair mines still work but chance is high the capacitors will leak at some moment)

"Back into the storm" is one of my favourite books. It's full of funny stories and anecdotes of all the machines Commodore made, their offices, trade shows, everything! Bil Herd is a great storyteller. Highly recommended book for every Commodore fan. Regarding the soldering station, make sure to make the yellow sponge wet before usage. I have seen many video where people apparently don't know what the sponge is for and leave it dry. Happy new year!

I think you probably know this, but the original Commodore power supplies are famous for failing and killing the computer beyond repair. Might want to consider a 3rd party replacement. Love the channel!

@@Sayakas_Digital_Attic You are welcome. If you consider repairing video related to the c16/plus4 i have a broken and rare 1551 disk drive which does not load disks anymore. Its complete in original package. I could loan and sent it to you for a repair video. I would pay of course for all expenses (parts, shipping etc.)

How did you get into electronics and old computers? That's a very unique hobby/profession for a young girl.
Since I was little, I have always been surrounded by retro computers because my parents used to collect them. However, for a long time, they have been busy with other things, and it's been a couple of years since I started repairing and restoring computers from their collection, which is now mine. 🙂
