This was an amazing game. Sadly it released at a bad time. If it was released on the Switch, I bet it would do pretty good.

And yeah it also released in 2019 which was bit too late

But since bis used two screens a lot it was capped at 30fps (unlike in superstar saga remake where it was 60) since 3ds couldn’t handle so much stuff
3ds was just bad platform for that remake
Kinda wish that remake was on switch
THis game has a lot of double screen gimmicks, it would be impossible to play it on switch

@@jeffjeff8237 they were the developers of the Mario & Luigi series. They were in debt after they released Dream Team (2013), and they declared bankruptcy last year in October. Probably remaking Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story for a dead console wasn't a good idea.
Superstar Saga was released between Kingdom Battle and Odyssey (two major Switch games)
No better way to go out than with a banger.
This franchise started for me with the original, and Alpha Dream ended with the remake, Rest. In. Piece. Alpha Dream

The thing is that it felt really redundant to play this one when the 3ds was backwards compatible with the original DS version, and the fact that the 3ds game lineup was coming to it's end.
And from what I've read, Alpha dream wanted to go with a Partners in time remake but Nintendo thought Inside Story was the better choice. Which begs an interesting question: Did Nintendo *WANT* Alpha Dream to fail?
@@BasementSkeleton97yeah pretty much, they were the ones who forced alphadream to make an unnecessary remake, like alphadream worked on the last Mario & sonic Olympic Games for the switch, they could’ve easily made a new M&L game on switch

I thought Partners in Time was good, pretty damn solid. It was personally the second game I enjoyed the most out of the 5

Man... I remember playing this game when it was first released, and I had very fond times playing it. To see this brings great nostalgia and I can't wait to play this again. I can still remember all the note combinations in the minigame to stimulate bowser's muscles, and exactly where they appeared in the little song. Then to see all the graphics and stuff updated, and a whole new side story behind-the-scenes kinda thing is just awesome to see!
This trailer has a ton more views then the game actually sold. That's.... Wow

I used to play this game on the DS back when I was a kid, I love this game to death to me the best M&L game. I’m so happy to see it coming to the 3DS! And the new Bowser JRs Journey looks fun too!

Oh hey, more people who either hate it if a specific game isn't on Switch even if they would work better elsewhere and/or refuse to buy it because It isn't on their precious Switch system. And this game would not have worked on Switch due to the dual screens and assets added specifically for the 3ds. You could argue that the screen would be halved, but it would be too squished on mobile and possibly TV depending on the model. It just would not be as fun on the Switch as it would be on the 3ds imo.

This game killed the entire studio behind it, firing all of it's employees.
That decision made the ultimate RPG downfall. Now we are stuck forever with Paper Mario. Which left that style of gameplay in 2007.

I can't believe the remake is 4 years old, i remember watching the direct it was announced in like it was yesterday
I wish that Nintendo would release a Mario and Luigi collection onto the Switch or maybe a Mario and Luigi installment for the Switch. I seriously still can’t believe that this one had like one more 3DS title in 2019 to still one more lifetime before the 3DS had eventually met the end of it’s lifespan in 2020 last year during COVID-19 at that time, the Nintendo world sure does change fast before we know it.
