  • Mint Mobile Service review, living in Los Angeles California, San Fernando Valley area. Overall I've had a great experience with Mint Mobile. I have never needed to contact customer service regarding quality of network or connection. There are some spotty areas but it is not isolated to just Mint Mobile but all carriers as well.

    I’ve had many issues with mintmobile and I live in Texas. It ain’t out in the middle of no where, other people have data, but we don’t.
    Also their overall service/trouble shooting is terrible.

    I have been with Mint mobile for 3 years as well, the service and cellphone service is great, however my only complain where I live is the internet service is spotty and very slow. However, if I am in major urban areas, like Chicago, service for internet is great! TO me the only service that suffers that I had issues is the internet speeds, outside of that, I can't tell much of a difference with phone quality with any other carrier so I have kept Mint for years because of the low cost.
    I work at home so I really don't go out much unless the weekend, so sometimes I suffer with slow internet if I need to use it when I am out and about, but I grew up in the 80s and I am used to slow speeds like dial up so I have the patience to deal with it.

    • @edwardcarrilloalfaro
      @edwardcarrilloalfaro  Год назад +1

      Glad to hear it worked out for you! Lol yeah I struggle with some of the same issues like slow Internet in some areas. But it’s very limited to certain locations. Overall the savings make it worth it and I’ve had to call customer service once in my 3 years. Great customer service. Quickly solved my problem, very nice.

    • @edwardcarrilloalfaro
      @edwardcarrilloalfaro  Месяц назад +1

      If you want WiFi at home, yes you need a router given to you by an internet company like spectrum. Mint mobile is a wireless company, they provide you phone services like ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile. Mint mobile is a great deal for its price but you can run into some issues with data depending on where you are when you are out and about. I haven’t had any major issues in Los Angeles, CA except for one spot in a city that’s known to have issues with every cellphone company.

    Their data is not prioritized on the T-Mobile network. I mean of course the carrier is going to prioritize their customers. Of course it’s also ironic given that the majority of cellular nodes/towers/antennae are owned by third parties and licensed to carriers. Lol

      Yeah, I would call them and make sure your phone is unlocked. Then continue to cancel. *Some phones will actually tell you it’s unlocked in your settings somewhere. An example, For my iPhone it showed me “no sim restriction” under the carrier section in my settings. This was 4 years ago though, not sure if anything’s changed.

    • @edwardcarrilloalfaro
      @edwardcarrilloalfaro  8 месяцев назад +1

      Something I’ve learned is that if you want to stream on mobile, 1080 is the way to go. If you have any plan other than unlimited, you run out of data fast unfortunately. Best to use WiFi when you can.

    • @minivanventuring
      @minivanventuring 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@edwardcarrilloalfaro no no I'm asking how is the quality??? I heard it only goes 480? I'm getting unlimited it's only 15 a month so before I order the SIM I wanna make sure

    • @edwardcarrilloalfaro
      @edwardcarrilloalfaro  8 месяцев назад +3

      Oh wow! I just realized this, I'm always on WiFi so it slipped under my radar. Thank you for pointing this out. OKAY, so I just tried it and you are correct, it is 480p and looks grainy...BUT that's only while it's buffering... after it's done buffering it jumps up to 720p. I Also tried to manually put it to 1080, but it reverts back down to 720p. Overall I would say 720 isn't terrible, definitely watchable (I tried watching a gaming cinematic, property tours, and people talking videos). 420p is definitely a little rough to watch but 720 was fine. And again, this is only when you aren't connected to WiFi. If this helped you out and you decide to go with mint, feel free to use my referral code in my link tree located in my about me on RUclips, I believe you get $15 renewal credit for your next renewal. :) Hope this helped!
