It's really interesting how Eckhart says "... because THE split hasn't happened yet" I understand he's pointing to the split of the human sense of being. Where "I" and "Myself" have a relationship. I remember that I was 12 years old and didn't have this dual consciousness of "I" and myself. I wasn't until I got into the real world that I felt harmed when I started speaking to myself inside of the head, when the split happened. I wonder if one self can actually undo that and how....

This is generally accurate, but I have met many special dogs that have definitely discovered this split. Like humans, trauma, and intense experiences tend to expedite the process. I learned this in my own experience as a human, and I have observed it in many dogs on my journey. All dogs are a part of my pack, because I understand what burdens their heart. I know that wasn't the point of this video, but it's where I would like to take it LOL😅
Yes. But a dog can be depressed. They can prefer one human in the house over another which displays opinions and a dog kept from its owner for years will show they missed you more than a dog who missed you for only 10 min.

many dogs with low selfesteem mostly created by people but even in the animal kingdom you have ranke in social order and according selfesteem. not to extend we do though. I even met a dog that acted submissive and insecure bc it became afraid of its own power and its ability to hurt another. This giant dog flopped on its back when it saw another dog on the horizon and wait very carefully until the other was more comfterble bc it once snappen and cracked the skull of his cope who bullied it for many years

It's my opinion that the reason why you feel like this is that unwittingly you are naturally cautious about certain types of dog. Dogs are also very good at being able to pick up on your fearful energy and then they go defensive and you can experience the aggressive side of the dog. Apart from the possible miss treatment they could have been through causing fear of men or women there are a lot of factors that would make even the most friendly dog be aggressive
