Anilao, a renowned diving destination in the Philippines, captivated us with its underwater wonders and warm hospitality. Our two-week stay at Buceo Anilao Beach & Dive Resort was filled with excitement and discovery.
The resort, situated on a hill, provided breathtaking ocean views from our comfortable superior room. The resort's amenities catered to the needs of underwater photographers and videographers. The traditional bangka boats, although initially unfamiliar, became a familiar sight as we explored Anilao's diverse dive sites. Underwater, Anilao's marine life dazzled us. From vibrant nudibranchs and camouflaged seahorses to elusive rhinopias, the underwater world was a treasure trove of fascinating critters.
Outside the water, we relaxed by the resort's pools, witnessing breathtaking sunsets. Rejuvenating massages and a spacious restaurant added to the overall enjoyment. The resort staff's friendliness and helpfulness left a lasting impression.
As we bid farewell to Anilao, we departed with unforgettable memories and a desire to return. Anilao's beauty and the vibrant marine ecosystem have forever captured our hearts, making this destination a must-visit for diving enthusiasts seeking an immersive and awe-inspiring experience.

Extraordinary film from start to finish with outstanding color quality and sharpness. A great job of adjusting the White Balance and colors in each shot with a very careful production and a beautiful presentation of this paradisiacal place. Congratulations!

Sir please do Baler, Aurora next it's on the side of PH facing the Pacific Sea. Would love to see the kind of marine life there since it's hardly explored or documented
Thank you for the idea!
Great vids Val & thanks for enlightening me on this resort - I was just in Lembah and can't get enough of muck diving now - I'm trying to justify buying the EMWL lens from Nauticam or just taking more trips - lol
Thank you for watching the video and your comments.
Wow Val, I taught you well 🤭great work and the music compliments the great footage...👏👏👏
Many thanks for your kind comments, Steve. I am glad you liked the video.
Hi Val, fantastic video, really love it. One moe question, do you use additional macro lenses for the nudis or is the sony pw 90 having this strong zoomfunction? Thanks in advance for your feedback. Best regards, Hans
Many thanks for your nice comments. In Anilao I used Saga +10, Saga +5 Macro Diopters. After that trip I bought INON +6 UCL-165LD, which is wider and has wider range of zoom operation. I like it more than Saga +5. If you are to buy only one diopter, I would recommend INON +6.
Fantastic video. Could you tell me how you got such stability? Are you using a tripod? Also, I don't know this camera, does it have native ability to get this kind of macro, or are you using some lens? (especially the pygmy seahorses!)
Many thanks for your kind comment. Regarding the stability, there were four factors to consider: some footage was shot with a Gates tripod; other footage was shot handheld. So, the other three factors were related to footage shot handheld: 1) my camera rig was balance quite well: 2)camcorders provide better stability than 'photographic' cameras because of their design; 3) almost all handheld clips were additionally stabilized in DaVinci Resolve. A bonus factor: I shot a lot of footage, and selected only with the most stable frames.
Great 4K sharpness and color! What camera are you using?
Many thanks for your comments! I use camcorder Sony PXW Z90. You can see more details about my UW Rig in the description to this video.
