You’re videos make me feel so emotional and present, like how I feel after a therapy session, love and warmth to you xxx thanks for sharing so much of yourself it’s v brave
Saorise - please read Laugh of the Medusa by Helene Cixous. Its an essay that was life-changing for me in terms of self-expression as a woman!! I used to get so furious about the beatnik wannabe-jack kerouac boys who surrounded me, always so loud and able to promote their art without shame when it was just a copy of some racist white dude from the 50s. Cixous really helped me be proud of and use my voice more!!
got recommended this by my english teacher - I completely agree with what you’re saying, reading it was a real turning point in how I view expression and my own identity
This is probably my favourite video you have made (so far) 🧡 thank you for always uplifting female/feminine energy creatives and expressing your beautiful thoughts x
Wow, it's beautiful seeing how someone is getting blissful experiences in life and going places with her authenticity. And it's also beautiful how you document it, you have a talent for touching people's interiority. I'm anxious to experience your music when you decide to upload it online (I'm from the other part of the world). 💜 I send love.
thank u for making this video, i feel so seen. Being a female music producer can be so infuriating sometimes when men constantly tell me to ‘promote myself more’ when all i wanna do and all i’ve EVER wanted to do was create music without the added bullshit
Exactly!!! I relate so much, I’m trying to learn from them (to an extent) because balance is important, but the most important part of art is being true and enjoying it xx
@@saoirsemoncrieff yes completely ! balance is so important. I struggle with my image a lot because i want to be respected for what i make and not just because i’m a woman and a minority in the scene. On one hand i wanna show myself online so that other women can feel empowered to produce music as well but on the other hand, i don’t want men to just view me based on my image. It’s something i’m learning to navigate in my own way but i know other women struggle with so i’m not alone. ❤️❤️

I'm a philosopher and poet and I struggled with this a time ago; I felt like even if we are living in the 21st century, as women we can still feel we struggle with taking up space and believing our voice makes a difference or needs to be heard. I know this can also happen to men who are more insecure, but it's predominant in women because of what we lived historically. It's expected to feel this way because we see all around us fields where men are or were the face of them (specially in Philosophy) 😕. Being an artist in general always was something for men. But I think it's cool to apply these thoughts on the art itself: I write poems expressing these feelings, emotions or sensations and I feel like I'm talking for all women and doing something important with that 🙂.
@@lilymanning8325 you will!!!! I’ve always been afraid of public speaking and was so scared i wouldn’t be able to do it but As soon as I was there I felt so safe

Do you get nervous about performing? If so what do you do to calm yourself? Thank you x
