What about simply not wanting to have a medical procedure forced upon you? Seems to me that most people I've met just don't want to take a shot, much like refusing to get a flu shot. They don't want govt or companies to dictate what goes inside them. Most of them actually believe the vaccine may or does help, but don't want the freedom of choice taken away.
Funny mate! The nhs told my mum & dad the so called vaccine contained a mild dose of covid & salt water! So, having been given 'dissinformation', based on your informed consent policy, my parents took it. My dad died two months later. He spent his last few of days in hostpital. My mum asked why the windows wouldn't open in his room & the nurse said, because the ward was built for covid. My mums eyes lit up in horror, as she knew the building work for the ward was completed way before covid... A nurse then injected my dad with something & he died a few hours after. Nhs won't let the family know what was in that final injection!

Frankly, I was pleasantly surprized to see that the comments were not disabled. The claim of 95% effective was based on a Pfizer trial.... using relative immunity, very misleading. In their sample both the vaxxed and placebo groups were over 99% uninfected.

The majority of those getting covid are the unvaccinated, however you can still get covid if you're vaccinated but you are less likely to end up in hospital or die.

Hello doctor, I appreciate this calm and very well-worded video about the vaccine. I also appreciate that you leave the comments open to discussion. One of the things that confounds me is so many people claiming to have had short and long term side effects from the vaccine. There are a lot of individuals out there who have a kind of 'buyer's remorse.' What do you as a doctor make of such a large number of people claiming negative long term side effects from the vaccine? (E.G., 'My niece never had anxiety before being vaccinated, but now she has panic attacks,' or, 'Now my dad can't even get out of the car without feeling chest pain,' etc. These are anecdotes from others, not from me.)
Considering that doctors are basically paid to sell drugs by the pharmaceutical companies, it’s very easy to still be skeptic even with what you’re sayin. Yes, some conspiracies sound outlandish and ridiculous, but the fact they damn near forcing people to get it. Paying people to get it. It’s very sketchy to me.
The assumption that doctors are in some way pharmaceutical pawns is flawd. I work for the NHS, as an independent family doctor - meaning I have 0 incentive to start people on medications. I get paid for the hours I work, nothing more. In fact for most people I encouraged healthy lifestyle/exercise/diet, and when they need medications then we have that discussion. By jumping to those conclusions you unfortunatley already demostrate a level of bias and lack of understanding at how other healthcare systems work. Meaning you will probably continue to lean toward theories that support your already skewd world view, rather than evidence and facts.

I heard about a doctor who wouldn’t even allow his wife to take it but will give it to patience because he’s paid. I’ve heard many, many, MANY situations of this and talked to a currently practicing OBGYN who confirmed this. Many doctors have quotas to meet. They get paid differently between Medicaid and insurance patients, how many pills and procedures they sell. So yeah, even more skeptic because of your denial. I was offered the vaccine and I decided to pass. Not much of a risk taker. Too many "UNKOWNS." I get what the Dr. is saying. However I feel anytime you choose speed and quantity you are risking quality. I am not an antivacer by any means. Just gonna go with a bit of common sense, logic, reasoning, and my own intuition. I tend not to recommend specifics as it can then seem like I am in the pockets of Pharama. I would say go with which ever your countries gov is recommending. At the moment most countries are only vaccinating at risk groups. So yeah just follow common sense protocols should keep you safe. Hope this helps

I've just seen a patient today who had Covid in 2020 and ITP (similar kind of clotting disorder) that is hypothesised may link the vaccine with the rare cases. Could people have had asymptomatic covid when they had the vaccine or in the day after? Not sure, but food for thought.

It's in the same family as SARS and MERS. Once they had the entire genome sequence of covid-19 analyzed coming up with a vaccine does get a lot easier/faster.
very valid point, but the majority of vaccine side effects become apparent withing days to weeks. These have been tested, approved and millions of people have safely recieved them. Vaccines rarely have long term side effects. The risk of covid on the other hand far outweighs and theoretical rare risk of vaccine side effect.

The main anti-vax (and more reasonable non anti-vax but cautious) population seems to be a concern of the mRNA response resulting in compromised immunity or overactive immune response, leading to death either by infection with no defense, or effectively the body attacking normal, necessary processes it now sees as a threat. Curious on your response. Thanks :) Edit: Oh an another quick point that springs to mind, would/how would this possibility arise with AstraZeneca and other potential viral-vector vaccines. I know people are concerned of having a primate virus put into the human body and are worried it may cause HIV susceptibility. @@doctorkhalid that's not true they authorised for emergency trials. They are still under trials. Covid has a 99.7% recovery rate and death rates are normal. These are not vaccines they are gene therapy. Pfiszer even says so on their website. Dr Mike Yeadon the ex CEO of pfizer has also said none of the SARS ever had a second wave never mind a third. And neither has Sars Cov-2. He also said there is no need to vaccinate healthy people against what is nothing more dangerous than flu. CDC just released a stat that said these new Covid "vaccines" Have killed nearly twice the number of all vaccines combined in the last decade.

But indeed, I would think being in a hospital with life threatening complications due to Covid would be far more dangerous than having the vaccine. I signed up for it and sure hope I made the right decision.
They have followed vaccines for years and there are no apparent long term side effects. The only long term effect is you are immune to that specific pathogen. if you know anything about the immune system you would know side effects would appear rapidly within a few weeks at the most. There has been no evidence for or scientific basic for long term effects that would appear suddenly.
I have some questions. 1. My mum had to take 3 days off work because she had some bad side effects from the AZ vaccine. The exact same side effects showed up 2 weeks later and the doctors denied they had anything to do with the vaccine. Also a perfectly healthy coworker of mine got the vaccine and a few weeks later suddenly had a mysterious illness (affecting his eyes) and the doctors denied had anything to do with the vaccine. I also have a few more coworkers who had similar experiences. So my question is: Are the doctors lying to people about the true side effects of the vaccine so they won’t dissuade others from getting it? Does the vaccine trigger underlying illnesses we didn’t know about? 2. 6 weeks ago I was a perfectly healthy woman who rarely got sick and could walk for 2 hours without getting tired or puffed out. After my first shot of Moderna I began getting mild chest pains. Over the next month they got worse and worse. I then had my second dose. I woke up drenched in sweat with my heart beating at least twice it’s normal rate. One week later my chest constantly feels like someone is sitting on it, my heart rate gets to an alarmingly high rate if I so much as walk up a flight of stairs and I am puffed from walking more than 30 steps at a normal pace. So my question is, when I told the person administering the second vaccine that I’d been having chest pains since the first, why would they allow me to be injected with a second? 3. My gut feeling was that something bad would happen to me if I got the vaccine and I was unfortunately correct. The Australian government coerced me into getting the vaccine by threatening to take my job and income away. My question is, when they mandate the booster shot, what medical exemption would get me out of it? I fear another dose of Moderna might kill me or drastically shorten my life. I’m only in my 30s. As for number 1 this is probably a case of you looking for things where there are not. People have weird illnesses that pop up for no reason all the time, just because they also happen after you got the vaccine doesn’t mean they’re caused by the vaccine. It’s a coincidence

If you go back through history and average out the development and testing phase of every vaccine in history, you would see that, on average, it takes about 8-10 years to verify the efficacy and safety of a vaccine. Why? Because vaccines must go through three separate phases of testing to determine safety, and these three phases can take at least five years to complete. It's simply impossible to complete these tests in under a year.

I got my very first shot of modera today. Nothing. Just a headache. But, working Two Jobs, always around the public, That's just everyday life for me. Long term side effects take place within the first 2-3 months of vaccination. We’ve had the vaccine around for about a year now and only 1 in millions of people who have been vaccinated have shown negative side effects. None of which were harmful or seen as life threatening in the slightest. Just a bit irritating. You’d be surprised as half the stuff you see in covid vaccines is the exact same stuff used in previous medicines for years and we have seen little to no negative effects. Even so the vaccine only stays in you’re body for 8 months at most before losing effectiveness (both good and bad) so it’s impossible for anything to kick in after years. And even then, side effects of the vaccine won’t just randomly decide to take place after the space of years on end after vaccination and floating around in you’re system doing nothing.
I wonder how many people in the comment section are claiming this doctor’s lying. It’s like people would rather feed into fear than protecting themselves or others. Let alone getting things back to normal.

Vaccines that are getting distributed on a GLOBAL scale have been tested, licensed and approved by every country that uses these vaccines. No one I know personally has had a bad experience, (friends, family that took Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca). I don't think people talk enough about how culture plays into tolerance of discomfort and pain. Because I find with Americans, they exaggerate the experience of being vaccinated and in general have very little tolerance for discomfort. They will often describe mild discomfort as "extreme pain." Maybe it's because of the "squeaky wheel gets the grease" and "customer is always right" mentality and how many of them "shop around" for prescriptions encourages them to behave this way. Anyway, it's pretty laughable some of the tall tales I hear, it's like that meme of that guy connecting all the unrelated stuff on a board with string...

Aunt works at retirement home and everyone including staff has received both Pfizer shots and 2 weeks ago they had 10+ cases of covid... Grandma got thrombosis from the other covid vaccine. We have a population of over 1,408,000. CDC says we have more than 99.99% chance of survival from covid. I think I wont get vaccinated for this one.

Of the specific Covid 19 vaccine? there’s no evidence to support the vaccine staying in your body long term but there is additives which have been found long term the effects are not known but it’s safe to say the immediate effects aren’t harmful but there is possible tissue damage and other cell damage in future but that applies to all vaccines that contain certain additives

But honestly it would be difficult to make something that could even track you and be powered by your body heat. Then have enough power to transmit that data and still be undetectable. I'm glad I finally got my second shot a few days ago, but I'd like to point out that I rarely comment on RUclips but this time I feel obliged. This vaccine was done way too fast. The day after my second injection I felt so bad I couldn't move out of bed for two days. No vaccine has ever had this effect, which proves that it was designed too quickly without worrying about the side effects. Even when I had the flu several years ago I was not that sick. It was horrible, they better not ask me for a third injection in six months because this time it's out of the question, even though I'm in favor of vaccination
I felt very fine after every vaccine I ever got, one of my daghters feels bad efter every vaccine she gets. People react differently to vaccination and to different kind of vaccination. If you felt bad, it was just your immune system that reacted in that way. It just shows that vaccine is working!

agreed at the time there were no new variants and the data was stronger for stopping spreading. At the moment the vaccines may reduce spread only slightly to not much at all. Importantly they do still massively reduce risk of hospitalisation.

Is your government forcing you to get the vaccine? Mine in the US isn't. It is trying to incentivize people to get vaccinated, but that's not "forcing." Vaccine evasion isn't a criminal offense like tax evasion is. And the possible need for a third shot has been floated, but doesn't that make sense, given how viruses (not just COVID) work? If everyone gets vaccinated, the virus can't spread. If the virus can't spread to new hosts, it won't have a chance to mutate. If the virus can't mutate, then new variants won't emerge, and our vaccines won't need to be updated to counter them. But as you've probably noticed, not everyone is getting the vaccine, and new COVID variants are appearing. Coincidence...or direct consequence?

I will never discourage anyone from eating healthy and exercising. A healthy lifestyle and a robust immune system might even help you weather the virus with minimal discomfort. But it won't protect you from catching it. It won't keep you from spreading it to others while your body figures out its response (since you didn't get the vaccine). And as I said before, spread=variants. In a way, your refusal to NOT be a transmission vector for the virus sabotages the effort the rest of us are putting in to stop it. It's not about being healthy or brave, it's about being a responsible adult and member of the community. But then again, we've never really forced people to do that, have we?

Funny mate! The nhs told my mum & dad the so called vaccine contained a mild dose of covid & salt water! So, having been given 'dissinformation', based on your informed consent policy, my parents took it. My dad died two months later. He spent his last few of days in hostpital. My mum asked why the windows wouldn't open in his room & the nurse said, because the ward was built for covid. My mums eyes lit up in horror, as she knew the building work for the ward was completed way before covid... A nurse then injected my dad with something & he died a few hours after. Nhs won't let the family know what was in that final injection!

Frankly, I was pleasantly surprized to see that the comments were not disabled. The claim of 95% effective was based on a Pfizer trial.... using relative immunity, very misleading. In their sample both the vaxxed and placebo groups were over 99% uninfected.

One of the things that confounds me is so many people claiming to have had short and long term side effects from the vaccine. There are a lot of individuals out there who have a kind of 'buyer's remorse.' What do you as a doctor make of such a large number of people claiming negative long term side effects from the vaccine? (E.G., 'My niece never had anxiety before being vaccinated, but now she has panic attacks,' or, 'Now my dad can't even get out of the car without feeling chest pain,' etc. These are anecdotes from others, not from me.)

Considering that doctors are basically paid to sell drugs by the pharmaceutical companies, it’s very easy to still be skeptic even with what you’re sayin. Yes, some conspiracies sound outlandish and ridiculous, but the fact they damn near forcing people to get it. Paying people to get it. It’s very sketchy to me.
The assumption that doctors are in some way pharmaceutical pawns is flawd. I work for the NHS, as an independent family doctor - meaning I have 0 incentive to start people on medications. I get paid for the hours I work, nothing more. In fact for most people I encouraged healthy lifestyle/exercise/diet, and when they need medications then we have that discussion. By jumping to those conclusions you unfortunatley already demostrate a level of bias and lack of understanding at how other healthcare systems work. Meaning you will probably continue to lean toward theories that support your already skewd world view, rather than evidence and facts.

I heard about a doctor who wouldn’t even allow his wife to take it but will give it to patience because he’s paid. I’ve heard many, many, MANY situations of this and talked to a currently practicing OBGYN who confirmed this. Many doctors have quotas to meet. They get paid differently between Medicaid and insurance patients, how many pills and procedures they sell. So yeah, even more skeptic because of your denial.

I work for a company of 3,000 people. Nobody has got seriously ill from covid in the last 2 yrs. We are since this broke out mostly unvaccinated.
Dude, my job with fourteen people, and two of us have gotten covid. And probably more in the other departments. Unless you guys live/work in a bubble, I doubt it.
I was offered the vaccine and I decided to pass. Not much of a risk taker. Too many "UNKOWNS." I get what the Dr. is saying. However I feel anytime you choose speed and quantity you are risking quality. I am not an antivacer by any means. Just gonna go with a bit of common sense, logic, reasoning, and my own intuition. Thank you to all of those who have faith in the vaccine & the govenment that are willing to take one for the team. I need to see more cases and I want to give it time. I tend not to recommend specifics as it can then seem like I am in the pockets of Pharama. I would say go with which ever your countries gov is recommending. At the moment most countries are only vaccinating at risk groups. So yeah just follow common sense protocols should keep you safe. Hope this helps

I've just seen a patient today who had Covid in 2020 and ITP (similar kind of clotting disorder) that is hypothesised may link the vaccine with the rare cases. Could people have had asymptomatic covid when they had the vaccine or in the day after? Not sure, but food for thought.

very valid point, but the majority of vaccine side effects become apparent withing days to weeks. These have been tested, approved and millions of people have safely recieved them. Vaccines rarely have long term side effects. The risk of covid on the other hand far outweighs and theoretical rare risk of vaccine side effect.

The main anti-vax (and more reasonable non anti-vax but cautious) population seems to be a concern of the mRNA response resulting in compromised immunity or overactive immune response, leading to death either by infection with no defense, or effectively the body attacking normal, necessary processes it now sees as a threat. @@doctorkhalid that's not true they authorised for emergency trials. They are still under trials. Covid has a 99.7% recovery rate and death rates are normal. These are not vaccines they are gene therapy. Pfiszer even says so on their website. Dr Mike Yeadon the ex CEO of pfizer has also said none of the SARS ever had a second wave never mind a third. And neither has Sars Cov-2. He also said there is no need to vaccinate healthy people against what is nothing more dangerous than flu. CDC just released a stat that said these new Covid "vaccines" Have killed nearly twice the number of all vaccines combined in the last decade.
@@doctorkhalid I have gone back and forth a million times whether to get this vaccine or not. But indeed, I would think being in a hospital with life threatening complications due to Covid would be far more dangerous than having the vaccine.

They have followed vaccines for years and there are no apparent long term side effects. The only long term effect is you are immune to that specific pathogen. if you know anything about the immune system you would know side effects would appear rapidly within a few weeks at the most. There has been no evidence for or scientific basic for long term effects that would appear suddenly.
I have some questions.
1. My mum had to take 3 days off work because she had some bad side effects from the AZ vaccine. The exact same side effects showed up 2 weeks later and the doctors denied they had anything to do with the vaccine. Also a perfectly healthy coworker of mine got the vaccine and a few weeks later suddenly had a mysterious illness (affecting his eyes) and the doctors denied had anything to do with the vaccine. I also have a few more coworkers who had similar experiences. So my question is: Are the doctors lying to people about the true side effects of the vaccine so they won’t dissuade others from getting it? Does the vaccine trigger underlying illnesses we didn’t know about?
2. 6 weeks ago I was a perfectly healthy woman who rarely got sick and could walk for 2 hours without getting tired or puffed out. After my first shot of Moderna I began getting mild chest pains. Over the next month they got worse and worse. I then had my second dose. I woke up drenched in sweat with my heart beating at least twice it’s normal rate. One week later my chest constantly feels like someone is sitting on it, my heart rate gets to an alarmingly high rate if I so much as walk up a flight of stairs and I am puffed from walking more than 30 steps at a normal pace. So my question is, when I told the person administering the second vaccine that I’d been having chest pains since the first, why would they allow me to be injected with a second?
3. My gut feeling was that something bad would happen to me if I got the vaccine and I was unfortunately correct. The Australian government coerced me into getting the vaccine by threatening to take my job and income away. My question is, when they mandate the booster shot, what medical exemption would get me out of it? I fear another dose of Moderna might kill me or drastically shorten my life. I’m only in my 30s.

If you go back through history and average out the development and testing phase of every vaccine in history, you would see that, on average, it takes about 8-10 years to verify the efficacy and safety of a vaccine. Why? Because vaccines must go through three separate phases of testing to determine safety, and these three phases can take at least five years to complete. It's simply impossible to complete these tests in under a year.

Long term side effects take place within the first 2-3 months of vaccination. We’ve had the vaccine around for about a year now and only 1 in millions of people who have been vaccinated have shown negative side effects. None of which were harmful or seen as life threatening in the slightest. Just a bit irritating. You’d be surprised as half the stuff you see in covid vaccines is the exact same stuff used in previous medicines for years and we have seen little to no negative effects. Even so the vaccine only stays in you’re body for 8 months at most before losing effectiveness (both good and bad) so it’s impossible for anything to kick in after years. And even then, side effects of the vaccine won’t just randomly decide to take place after the space of years on end after vaccination and floating around in you’re system doing nothing.

No one I know personally has had a bad experience, (friends, family that took Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca). I don't think people talk enough about how culture plays into tolerance of discomfort and pain. Because I find with Americans, they exaggerate the experience of being vaccinated and in general have very little tolerance for discomfort. They will often describe mild discomfort as "extreme pain." Maybe it's because of the "squeaky wheel gets the grease" and "customer is always right" mentality and how many of them "shop around" for prescriptions encourages them to behave this way. Of the specific Covid 19 vaccine? there’s no evidence to support the vaccine staying in your body long term but there is additives which have been found long term the effects are not known but it’s safe to say the immediate effects aren’t harmful but there is possible tissue damage and other cell damage in future but that applies to all vaccines that contain certain additives

Here’s something you can’t debunk: a friend of mine was found dead in his home less than two weeks after the vax. Also, many family members had massive skin reactions.
Any possible factors that could've led to his death that may have not been vaccine related? Age, comorbidities, drug use, etc.
It may be too early to say the vaccines are unsafe but it is too early to say they are safe too. Normally it takes at least a decade to develop a vaccine, and this mRNA vaccines are something totally new to us, so who knows? What do you know? I’d like to wait and see for at least a decade.
mRNA method for vaccines has been in development for 45 years. It's well understood it just took time to solve the technical issues. Your ignorance of the subject matter doesn't mean its totally new or experimental.

Money and the fact that it's literally affecting every single person in the world. Why at least a decade? My mother died possibly of Cov, a childhood friend, a friend's sister, and two people I know almost died of it, (had to fight hard too beat it), I also had COV and had to be admitted. I got the jab cause I just don't feel I will survive COV a second time, it was affecting liver...etc. I have an auto immune disease do I ain't risking it.

@Alex Frideres honestly if it is possible to make chips that small. Then that's fantastic. Imagine the medical applications of it. They could track insulin levels and detect irregular heartbeats. But honestly it would be difficult to make something that could even track you and be powered by your body heat. Then have enough power to transmit that data and still be undetectable. And if even 1 of these chips is found then EVERYONE will know and there would be massive backlash.

I'm glad I finally got my second shot a few days ago, but I'd like to point out that I rarely comment on RUclips but this time I feel obliged.
This vaccine was done way too fast. The day after my second injection I felt so bad I couldn't move out of bed for two days. No vaccine has ever had this effect, which proves that it was designed too quickly without worrying about the side effects.
Even when I had the flu several years ago I was not that sick.
It was horrible, they better not ask me for a third injection in six months because this time it's out of the question, even though I'm in favor of vaccination
I felt very fine after every vaccine I ever got, one of my daghters feels bad efter every vaccine she gets. People react differently to vaccination and to different kind of vaccination. If you felt bad, it was just your immune system that reacted in that way. It just shows that vaccine is working!
Just about every person I know that got the 2nd shot had bad effects for few days but some had no issues
I got a stuffy nose the day I got Moderna & felt chills and extreme fatigue for two more days after that. Couldn't eat but I slept. Awful.

agreed at the time there were no new variants and the data was stronger for stopping spreading. At the moment the vaccines may reduce spread only slightly to not much at all. Importantly they do still massively reduce risk of hospitalisation.

Is your government forcing you to get the vaccine? Mine in the US isn't. It is trying to incentivize people to get vaccinated, but that's not "forcing." Vaccine evasion isn't a criminal offense like tax evasion is.
And the possible need for a third shot has been floated, but doesn't that make sense, given how viruses (not just COVID) work? If everyone gets vaccinated, the virus can't spread. If the virus can't spread to new hosts, it won't have a chance to mutate. If the virus can't mutate, then new variants won't emerge, and our vaccines won't need to be updated to counter them. But as you've probably noticed, not everyone is getting the vaccine, and new COVID variants are appearing. Coincidence...or direct consequence?

I will never discourage anyone from eating healthy and exercising. A healthy lifestyle and a robust immune system might even help you weather the virus with minimal discomfort. But it won't protect you from catching it. It won't keep you from spreading it to others while your body figures out its response (since you didn't get the vaccine). And as I said before, spread=variants. In a way, your refusal to NOT be a transmission vector for the virus sabotages the effort the rest of us are putting in to stop it. It's not about being healthy or brave, it's about being a responsible adult and member of the community.
