Insane he didn’t get another run. When they show the footage from behind him as he’s rolling up u can see the nut and bushings fall off before he even pops the board. Your run doesn’t start until u pop your tail. Considering his board fell apart before even starting his first trick I don’t see any reason they couldn’t have let him get a fresh start. It would’ve been different if he had made it past the first trick and then the truck broke, in that case getting denied another run would be understandable

Yup agree on that..i remember reading an article about that long ago, a Contest judge(i think its Rothmeyer) was interviewd where he said if its under half the time of ur run & an unfortunate thing happen u can have a reRun..i myself have been a judge in some event here in our scene

He just barely made the standard for a run to begin which is once the tail pops. Actually when they show the camera angle from behind him it shows the bolts falling off before he even pops. His truck starts falling apart as he’s rolling up. There is no argument in the world that can convince me it was fair to count that as one of his runs. Had the judges seen the footage of the nuts and washers falling off his truck before he had a chance to pop I think I they would’ve given him another run

And that is why I will never skate independence... Homie out in Cali had a fresh set and the axle kept shifting from side to side. It would lock up a wheel mid trick... so sad they have just gone down hill throughout the years...
