Think about, you have them facing backlash and hate if it is found they like someone or are dating. The mountains or doors they cannot walk through, the line, "It's not up to you, it's not up to me, when everyone tells us what we can to be." It could apply to the clause in contracts forbidding them to date, they have to appear available to fans. These fans want the idol to do as they say. If it's found out they are dating, the backlash is huge. We've seen it, especially with Exo's Baekhyun, Chen, and Kai...

Theu are both amazing singers, both started singing in the childhood, D.O at a school festivals, then scouted by SM Entertainment, Suhyun singing with her brother and auditioning for YG as AKMU (they are still together, it's a family business 😉) I don't know if it was intensional, but I known they are both very busy and Suhyun wanted so bad to cover a Disney song, but she couldn't find the best match for her, so, she was delighted that, after they went viral with the short performances, the audience on media begged for the full cover, she recorded her part and sent it to D.O Suhyun confessed in a live that she usually has to tune down her voice when she sings in a duet, to prevent eclipsing her partner, but, with D.O, she gave 100% and still, she barely kept up with him, his belting is incredible and his ad libs and runs are on a high level. Contrary to his abilities, his songs are quite laid back , in a comfortable tone
