- Hi loves! Our Sicilian adventure keeps going, and this time we’re exploring Palermo. Compared to the laid-back vibe of other part of Sicily we’ve visited, Palermo was definitely a bit more hectic. The city has a lot of character with its beautiful and unique style, but some areas were definitely in need of some attention, lots of vacant and damaged buildings right in the city center, which was a bit surprising. Still, we made the most of it and ended up having such a great day. We tried cannoli for the first time (and omg, so good!), and I found a couple of amazing vintage and jewelry spots where I picked up a few gems. You’ll have to watch to see what I bought! There were two places I really wanted to visit but sadly they were closed, so I’ll have to save those for next time. Definitely check them out if you’re heading to Palermo though! Hi Birta! I’ve been watching your videos for a long time but never commented before. I’m Italian and live in Milan, but both my parents are from Sicily. I’m really sorry to hear about your negative experience with the car rental; unfortunately, they often try to take advantage of everyone, both locals and tourists. The traffic in Palermo is absolutely CRAZY! I live in a big city and drive regularly, but the traffic there is on a whole other level-no one seems to follow the rules. So, hats off to you for handling it!
Sicilians are generally the friendliest and most welcoming Italians. I hope you got to experience that and enjoyed some of our delicious food 😋

In Italy but most particular in the South when you rent a car you should be paying for full Kasko insurance. The piece of mind you get with it it’s worth 💯 the price.

hi birta! I really like your videos, you and your boyfriend are a very cute couple and your trips always look beautiful.
I'll give you a tip: when renting a car in italy, put a sheet of paper on the back of the car with a big "P" drew on it. in italy it symbolizes that the driver just got their license, so people around you will be more careful and patient😜

same! in Rome they made me feel stupid while I was renting a car! they were kinda mad for me not taking any assurance they proposed etc :( it was so so stressful and it shouldn't be
