Do you need to add caps to the end of each letter as suggested by others? btw very informative video. appreciate the sharing of your knowledge experience...
These tips are always great! Like you said, it takes awhile to learn the system, but these tips help me understand things before I try them and I have a better experience. I just used one of the ESA fonts on a project and resized it, it came out perfect and clean. The ESA fonts are amazing!
Thanks John that has saved me from taping down the foam prior to stitching out...your a life saver...ooops i forgot to ask...do you regroup all the letters back together or just leave them broken apart?
You said the font was predigitized with the correct settings for foam. What are the ideal pull compensation and manual spacing settings for non predigitized designs?
When embroidering on caps edge run always seems to poke out especially around curves I’m thinking due to a cap being curved so edge runs are risky to run on caps I’m new to this maybe doin something wrong great video btw thanks
Love this video. Someone asked me if I can do letters like on a varsity jacket (Chanell letters) need a video
Thanks John, for sharing you experience and knowledge with us. Great Tutorial!
My pleasure Kokkie, thanks for watching :)

Loving the earring!
Thanks Danielle :) Appreciate the kind words!
Another good one. I always learn something new when I watch to the end.
So happy to hear that! Thanks for watching :)

Forever Tots the 3D ESA fonts are digitized with either pinched or capped ends for foam.
Thanks a lot , I will try. best regards from Munic
Which exact type of thread do you use for caps 3d? Poly or nylon? And which weight
40wt Poly, thanks for watching.

Glad you're enjoying Jan! I agree it's incredible what can be done with ESA fonts! Thanks for watching :)
Ok for the example what stabilizer of batting did you use
What’s the recommended density for satin puff?
Hi can you help me. I'm looking for TMEX Single head FIp
Thanks John that has saved me from taping down the foam prior to stitching out...your a life saver...ooops i forgot to ask...do you regroup all the letters back together or just leave them broken apart?
That is good question,I want to know as well 😊
I would just leave them broken apart after adding the tack down and underlay changes.
Thanks very much John, some great tips, Jess
Always a pleasure Jess! Thanks for watching! :)
I just purchased some Puffy Stuff topper for the Ornaments. I have some foam , it is real thin. where can I get the thick foam sheets ??
You said the font was predigitized with the correct settings for foam. What are the ideal pull compensation and manual spacing settings for non predigitized designs?
When I manually digitize Foam I’ll increase pull compensation about .1 from normal and increase density from .4 to . 2.
Does this work to any font besides the 3d fonts?
thank u sir🥰🥰🥰
Hey John...if i wanted to add a outline to turn Brush Script into 2 colour, how would i go about it? or is in just a matter of adding outline?

The inset value of edge run underlay needs to be towards the centre of objects :) Check out our other videos on embroidering on caps & hats !
Can you tell me what software you are using?
Hatch :) www.digitizingmadeeasy.com/hatch-embroidery-free-trial/
thank you
Nice video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Is this possible on a sewing machine, wich can embroider as well?
Or does it need to be a real embroidery machine?
Braveboischletti yes foam can be done on a combo machine. Keep in mind commercial machines are built to handle the higher density required with Foam.
I dont digitize. I own canned software. Can I use the foam?
Fonts need to be digitized specifically for 3D foam to be used.
John 🦌 is fuckin nice
