Hi everyone, I'm Anis, marketing coordinator for HP Tuners Europe (Guy in the front of the car) First of all I wanted to say a massive thank you to Misha for taking us around, this was absolutely an opportunity I wasn't expecting to get. I can't imagine a better first track experience than this! 💙 HP Tuners provide hardware and software to calibrate your vehicles ECU, we actually do not tune cars ourselves. We are a calibration solution for many vehicles, and this Golf R is a demo car used to demonstrate our product. Over the last 4 years it's simply spent its life sat at shows, and doing software demos, this was the first time ever that it was put through its paces. We actually went on a road trip with Motor Addicts across Europe, and the Nurburgring was just one stop along the way. It's definitely not a track car by any means. After bringing the car back to base and checking it over, it turns out there was in fact a boost leak, and it's now being sorted 🙏 so I hope we'll be able to get back out there soon with the car in full attack mode. Keep an eye out for the next video, when Misha, Owen and Nick go out in the Transit Connect, and overtake cars a van has no business overtaking 🤣
I think this guy in the back is totally fine, since he is not only a passenger but also a cameraman, regisseur and an actor all at once. And he’s bloody good at his jobs 😂
The decision of the dude in the back filming his face: priceless! :D But the car seems to be handling well if you could catch the slides rather effortlessly. Especially the Adenauer Forst slide.

predictably -- reliably -- expert operation of the vehicle by the best driver these lucky guys will probably ever be driven by ... of course, Misha knowing just when to push the envelope to flip the fear/adrenaline switch in his passengers for maximum enjoyment ... I swear- the front seat passenger could be a distant UK relative of Tavarish

And if 150 horsepower went missing, they weren't really needed, anyway. These laps with lots of banter are a good mixup to the serious driving videos. Would be interesting what the Transit/Tourneo could do.
The boost leak my thoughts are the forge diverter valve has the wrong spring in for the power I’d put money on it. Nice car nice people. That’s all that matters.
Idk I'm not the smartest but it raining on the track and it is quite dangerous to really push the car to its limits when they were already spinning out
English HP is different, you calculate it by multiplying BS with crank speed, street tune on a pretend graph, what someone's mate said on tik tok and that equals 500 HP 👍
Its great but that Crackle & Popping Tune - REALLY?? I mean my car does it on some downshifts but that is purely thanks to the custom exhaust design and me using trailing throttle so it keeps adding fuel when down shifting then ignites in headers/turbo/exhaust. (99 WRX Wagon)
Sounds like it has a boost leak to be honest. Alot of places in the UK, or decent places are actually pretty harsh on the figures, but there are alot of dreamers haha! But yeah sounds like theres some sort of boost leak, could be where its missing the power potentially.
Some people accused Misha of doing illegal taxi lap (you need to be registered as an official taxi for that like Apex was a few years back). Last year he used his own yearly lap ticket to do the driving, and you could have your friend on the backseat. So for this year to make sure there are no ambiguity, you pay for the lap, and are not allowed a passenger other than the car owner. I don’t really know if it changes a lot of things but that’s what has been agreed between Misha and the Nurburgring.

I was thinking the same thing. I've a 350hp golf 7 r that seems to accelerate faster than that one. That noise sounds like a large boost leak.

Tbh three people - I’d say an extra 280 kg can have an effect. Three people in my mk7 feels heavy, and it’s already a 1.6 ton car.
