Yep, I think that's their point in naming it after a 'burger' or food from a restaurant, like they did with the previous one named Big Mac. (as in the burger) :-)
none of mine ever get a name, they get a number, wth all the kids i get here that bring food for the pigs, steers heifers cows they only know them by number, the kids never remember numbers so when 2 or 3 are gone there looking at younger ones. i dont be leave in naming whats going to be food, i have to do most of the killing, hanging for 10 days then cutem up.. plus it is stressful on the animal. trailer it to a strange place, the smells.. it all puts a lot of stress on them, thats not needed

Houston was so thrilled. We could tell it was bothering him for quite a while but all was forgotten when he saw that cute little fella!! The biggest proof was when he was sitting up on the railing and kept saying Thank you 😊 and how much he loves you ❤ and you're the best Dad !!! Daniel, you have a great 👍 young man there with a very Big heart ❤!! God Bless you and the family plus that I precious little fella that has had a rough beginning in the past 3months!

FYI. I've had horses since age 7 (now 53). My current two mares are no more work/maintenance than your goats. Feed them twice a day, give hay, pasture, and they're fine. If you plan on riding, or competing, then the feed goes up, and the work goes up - as you'll have to practice for whatever sport you have the horses for. I used to show (very expensive, lots of specific rules/restrictions on how you ride), now I do endurance - which is basically, marathon running for horses. Doesn't take a lot of expensive lessons, tack, or clothes/gear, but does require regular riding - and more than just a few laps around an arena. That said, it's an awesome sport that lets you see SO much of various countryside with no more than just conditioning workouts.
Houston seems so much happier since the new calf arrived and Jacoby was able to come over and play. All the animals look great. Awwwww, Com on let them have a horse lol. You all stay safe and healthy. God Bless Y'all.

@@marywilson9660 Daniel mentioned when they named Big Mac that Houston didn't know what a Big Mac was since they don't eat fast food. Meatloaf might be more indeed be a good reminder for Houston.
@@nestpeeper I don't know I just thought that Meatloaf was cute they're probably going to name him Whopper since that's what Daniels calling him unless somebody has a suggestion that he likes more and like I said it doesn't really matter because they're all meat and and Whopper will definitely be a reminder. At the end of the video Daniel reminded Houston that this was a meat cow and what his purpose was going to be.

He used to charge at our kids out in the back yard and race around the back fence bellering and pawing up dirt! He tasted mighty GOOD however and was Happy to deliver him to the meat Processing plant!

Congrats on your new steer! My grandfather came to America from France in the early 1900's and became an executive chef. He worked at restaurants in New York, Virginia and Miami during the seasons. The founder of Burger King offered him to become partners to start the company, but turned him down. Being French and a chef and believing fast food was not food, he turned him down. Houston is becoming very mature. Nice to see Jacobi again. It seems he likes to help out with chores with his friend Houston. I think Whopper is a great name.
I absolutely LOVE how you are so open and loving to your boy about raising your own food. You are teaching him respect and admiration for the blessing we have as homesteaders to know where our food comes from. To raise an animal with compassion and love is so much better then the awful treatment they could have experienced somewhere else. Thanks for keeping it “real”. ❤️
