    While awaiting the release of the Blitz, I’m considering “scratching my itch” by replacing my old lightwind staple, the Fanatic Free 1250. It’s been a great all-rounder for many years but lacks glide and pumpability for the lightwind (10-15kn) conditions often found here, which usually coincide with 0.5 m to 1 m swell.
    Is the Glide 1100 a good replacement for the Free 1250 in the 10-15kn range to carve waves (weight 72kg). Cheers!

    I'm 70kg 58 years old man and want to replace my 1305 glide for ligth wind. (8-10 ktns). Knowing how to pump , I own a skybrid 85L, a 6m and a 5m wing. What glide 2.0 size would you recommend? Thanks for the video

      8-10 knots is still very light winds, i would give yourself the best chance and stick to the 1350 glide 2.0
      if you feel very confident you could use the 1100. I am 70kg as well and use the 85l with the 1100 as my biggest foil. I do however have a 7m DLAB ventis.
      its very hard as a lot of things come into play :)
      DLAB wings would allow you to use a 1100 i think :)
      hope this helps

    May I ask what is the stall speed regarding to Carve same size? Thanks..

    • @worthingwatersports
      @worthingwatersports  3 месяца назад +1

      @@redwine1980a it’s not as low as the carve or whizz. As they both have very low stall speed for riding wave at low speed.
      But it is much better than the first glide.

      hi. Which foil would you recommend to ride best in light winds? I have the 2000 free. Would I get out of the water faster with the Glide 2.0 in 1350? in combination with my 5.9 free board and 6dlab unit at 88 kilos?

      @@fabregasser1313 very good question.
      The 2000 is a very large foil so will rise early but may not go forward or fast.
      The 1350 maybe more like the 1500 or 1750 aero free. So maybe not as early lift. But will feel a lot better once going forward and up.
      I would guess if you can get your technique and ability right. You should be able to get going very early with that 6m dlab and 1350 and you will have a great time!
      I think the aero free 2000 will rise slightly early but will be slower.
