Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I am an avid chironomid fisherman. This looks like a great pattern, which I plan on tying today and putting it in the water next week. Your video is much appreciated. Thank you.

I came across your series and watched all 3 videos. I’ve only been tying for a couple of years. These videos, like all of your instructional videos are terrific. The pro tip that stood out is where to start the rib wrap. Really gives a clean finish on the shank. Thanks!

Great pattern and great tips. I tied a few of these last night and each one got better. Started on size 10's and went down to 12's. Now to tie some even smaller. Thank you for this instructive video! :-) Looking forward to fishing these!

Awesome fly. Just learning. It’s fun to tie. Ice of 2020 is going to be good with these flies.

Really nice looking chironomid. That blue is subtle, but I like that way it catches the light. Thoughts on tying in the breathers as part of the thorax?

Good day, thank you very much glad you like it! We recently put up a pattern that utilizes some ostrich herl as breathers wrapped up front of the thorax. Check it out and let me know if this is kinda what your thinking. Its the K.O chironomid pupa. thanks again for watching!
