Saying "nut & honey" is a running joke between my boyfriend and me, and he hadn't even seen this commercial until today. I remember it from my childhood.

I found out about this from one of my favorite comedy skits. It's a Chris Rock parody called "N-word, Please." From the comments there, I found out it originated from this😆
Kellogg's reissued this in late 2018-early 2019 as Honey Nut Frosted Flakes. This Nut & Honey Crunch was probably an earlier response to the popularity of competitor General Mills' Honey Nut Cheerios (which must have been an instant hit since its introduction in 1979).

It's a trap, or it used to be. The few times I was asked what did I do today after school and this wasn't my answer... XD. I would get grounded. I grounded when caught lying, I got grounded worse for telling the truth.

Honey nut Frosted Flakes did not have nuts on the flakes Nut and Honey crunch was a different cereal
