  • Setting up a tarp in the plough point configuration offers great protection from the elements. Today the wind was gusting up to 35 mph so an ideal opportunity to put this into practice. Also time to finish the kuksa and have a coffee using a hobo stove (a stainless steel kitchen utensil pot used as a twig stove with 2 metal tent stakes to rest the cook pot on top) The Stanley cook pot nests into the hobo stove making this a compact and robust cookset. The kuksa handle was styled on the Buzzard (a common european bird of prey) and now any untidy tool marks and the lip of the cup get cleaned up before treating the outside of the kuksa with walnut oil.
