I am a big fan of all three comedians. I find the "inside baseball" dialogue fascinating, especially with a guest as introspective and self-aware. Great insights into the process of comedy. While I've always appreciated the older format of Pete and Sebastian alone, having an interesting guest brings the cast to a new level. Thoughtful conversation sprinkled with clever, sometimes cutting humor = a recipe for success.

It occurs to me that there have been quite a few comedy legends named Jimmy/Jim - Carr, Kimmel, Fallon, Gaffigan, Belushi. Must be something in the name!
Jimmy Carr is so well studied in the history of comedy - he appreciates the art form to the level of detail that Seinfeld does. Such great insights!

I agree. It shows how much effort he puts towards delivering a quality show. I also appreciate the sheer respect he has towards the person shelling out money in order to be entertained for the evening. Wanting to make sure the crowd gets their money’s worth is honorable. Not to say that everyone else in the business isn’t doing the same but for Jimmy to make mention says a lot about his character.

Pete was not overwhelmed….. he just couldn’t click in to this guy ….. anytime Pete tried to speak , this guy did his best to knock him down …. Pete is a natural comedian, doesn’t really need all this theory to giving a good show

As someone who wants to do stand up this podcast was awesome and i agree Pryor started the art.
There were many comics before Pryor.
@@BufordTeeJustice of course but I'm maybe to young to remember them, Pryor was one of my first experiences with stand up that pushed the boundaries along with some british comedians that you'll likely not know.
