The tag BMW (SCHWEIZ) AG means that it is BMW group in switzerland. On the number side - no idea, google did not help either.
The number of dislikes shows how many people are jealous of that E24.

Thanks for your response and I've already contacted the dealer in Zurich and they are looking into what documents they still have.
And about the dislikes; people have an own opinion and that's fine. I'm share this build as I've been motivated by other youtubers to pick up my old hobby and build something I like and love.

Thanks for the support! so far it goes pretty well and some parts are unrepairable but in the next episode we go and inspect the underbody. Then the build might go less smoother. Good luck on your project and are you sharing your build somewhere?

On the body number question, perhaps that is the Karmann body shell number?
