Very informative, thank you! I've had the ju-06 for a while but haven't really delved deeply into sound creation, but I think i will now that I've watched this and have a better understanding of the unit
Bought this little synth last week, the sounds from this module are amazing. Especially when combined with the zoom ms-70. You can easily buy them on the secondhand market for under 200,- for this price there’s no poly synth even close to the range of this little beast really. This tutorial is super straightforward thnx!
This is great, thanks. I have a JU-06 but so far haven't gone much beyond tweaking the presets. Starting from scratch like this gives me some fresh ideas.
Just picked up a JU-06 (not A) from eBay for a decent price. It’s none keyboard but I’m putting it through the Novation circuit tracks so I don’t really need one. Good to get an idea how to actually use the thing. I’m mixing it with a Volka keys and the 2 inbuilt synths in the tracks. Worked out how to change the midi channel after a bit of trial and error.
I bought one, and a JX-03, second-hand back in 2016. They can't have been used much as they were in mint condition. I don't think they'd been out that long at the time. Anyway, for various reasons, both units got put in a cupboard and I only tried them 2 or 3 times, and only using their built-in speaker. Recently I got them out, hooked them up to my speakers and they sound great. Going to hang on to both. I've also got the keyboard dock that Roland make. Great synths, which I will be using a lot. Thanks for the tutorial video.
@@RonCavagnaro I’ll check that out when I have the time. I’ve been programming my JU06 today. Thanks for letting me know about the JX video. I also took the plunge today and ordered a JX08 (again second-hand, the owner can’t have had it long) and a brand-new JD-08. It’s an expensive hobby 😆
Can you connect a USB keyboard in or does it take MIDI in? Im trying to find a little synth setup I can take out on the go. Roland Cloud is glitching my macbook so need an alternative
Unfortunately no it doesn't come with it, but here it is on Amazon or you can just get any midi keyboard wire it in www.amazon.com/Roland-25-Key-Portable-Keyboard-K-25M/dp/B01ATNCUHI/ref=asc_df_B01ATNCUHI/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312313781193&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10245786218662499099&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1022882&hvtargid=pla-554170346138&psc=1

firstperson very glad to help encourage inspiration
Also now I know what the switch next to the VCA level does! I guess that with that set down you can apply the ENV only to the VCF

@@RonCavagnaro thank you!
And I watched it again :)
When did they discontinue it? AFAIK, they're still available...
Larry Wilson it's not available for new, if so send links for people
Ron Cavagnaro My bad. Just saw they’re listing as being discontinued on Guitar Center’s website.
Larry Wilson I see yeah it may be out there in the wild as used maybe that's what you saw
Hi! nice video. Can you tell me if this synth is truly analog?
Mateus Estrela it is a digital emulation but I forget that it is digital every time I use it

Mateus Estrela I love both. I was thinking of doing a minilogue overview video eventually
cool! i wanna watch this video =)
I have the TAL U Juno emulation on my computer, im wondering if its very differnt than the ju 06, since both are digital
