I know you've been doing skits for 7 years but, I'm sorry, this channel's best ever character is Tanya Plibersek's mum

I like how Jordies has been gradually adding in more of his voices into each passing interview. At this rate, by time that the labor party actually trust him to have an interview with Albo, it's just going to be an unhinged hour of Simpsons quotes and impersonations of liberal MPS.

Yeah exactly! I've been looking for a comment pointing out that he's dressed like a bum.
Jordan’s posture is slowly deteriorating with each new episode of the show. The next episode will feature him laying in bed interviewing King Prawn.
Bruz, are you secretly Joel Turner?
"So jordies tell us how that makes you feel"

Amazing how big of an issue it is and how no one mentions it
I respect this lady so much after this video. Listening to how passionate she is about ending intergenerational trauma and improving education gives me hope. She sounds like she's choking up while talking about both the tragic and wholesome circumstances in this clip, and her composure is admirable. I want to learn how to harness that passion without getting all blubbery, and speak with as much dignity and poise as she is.
I guess if you do it for long enough, you are able to be passionate but also composed
She is pure class eh.
I've found personally it comes with practice, but also mostly with the intense familiarity with the subject. The better you know your topic, the easier it is to subdue emotional reactions to discussing harder points.
I met her at an Ed Kuepper gig shortly after the 2007 election. I went up to her and congratulated her. She grasped both my hands, looked me in the eye, and swore she'd do her best to meet my expectations. They don't come much better.
She is not the person you think she is, she cares bugger all for the environment, she is double standard, a compulsive liar.
So glad you had a disagreement with Marcus Prawn in the Morning, otherwise i would have never had heard of FriendlyJordies, binged all of your videos and podcasts in a week and a bit and started questioning everything i have been told or watched.

@@noonenowhere877 agree I didn't think he vaping argument held water until she later talked about new smoker research. So it did sound a bit like belief.
I'm more worried about Labor's view on mass immigration. She said herself that young people are not getting mobility and job opportunity because companies won't train them or take them on and would rather hire a migrant with the skills already.
If labor can reduce total yearly intake of migrants from 200-300k+ down to 70k (far more sustainable). I'd vote for them.

Die from smoking to improve the stats, quick!
I quit smoking using vaping until like last month, then the government banned it and now I'm back on smoking, it ain't about cutting smoking rates, it's about tax revenue. Until labor legalises vaping, they won't be getting my vote.

This is a hugely important issue thinking of the 5-10+ year plan for our nation. This is also especially important in rural areas, where there is a clear trend of disadvantage at the public schools compared to the Catholic and private schools. I have experienced this first-hand as an Office Equipment Technician, installing Smartboards and interactive tech in every room of these private schools. Whereas some of the smaller public schools struggle to have funding to even have 1 or 2 items of this interactive tech between all of their classes, forcing them to not fully utilise and learn these technological skills that most other children are learning as standard.

As a teen, I have friends that vape, and one started smoking. But my oldest half-brother is vaping to cut his smoking addiction, same with his friends. The easiest solution is to make it harder for younger people to get ahold on vapes, or make a condition where you prove that you were addicted to smoking.
They're still addicted to a drug. That's not quitting, it's just subsitution. The route of administration is the same. In stimulant therapy, if a patient is at risk of taking more than they're prescribed to, slow-release is prescribed to them because it is less addictive and more difficult to abuse. The same principle applies for nicotine, where slow-release tablets, patches or gum are used.
How would you prove you were addicted? Like to the shopkeeper??
Shields yes, I agree. But I’m just saying vaping is a better alternative to smoking. My brother is also doing that stuff with patches, but sometimes vapes. My point is that we need more hoops to jump through to get access to a vape.
kushegga95 like a prescription you may bring to the counter or something. I’m throwing ideas around, I don’t have a plan. Just more hoops to jump through will be good in my eyes.
There have been a few people I've heard of that actually went back to cigarettes because they were taking in way more nicotine via vaping.

Great interview and I appreciate that you ensured she was the star of the interview and that her message was heard. But you need to be less insecure as a presenter, we know your profile and we know where you stand (and we all agree with you) but you're there to enable her story, not dictate it - be mindful that it isn't just what she says but what you say that can be used to misconstrue this interview in the mainstream media. She cant make negative comments about specific people or organisations as an elected official. Otherwise fantastic job Jordies and I'm so happy for you that you're enabling these kind of interviews and furthering your channel/brand.
Politician who *genuinely* tears up when talking about making a difference to inter-generational poverty... got my vote.
This interview is so fantastic, in so many ways.
Tanya is just an all-round gooz person, very smart & the best Australian Politician, I know.
Federal Polling Day has been easy for me since I moved to the Sydney Electorate in 1999. I just missed the 1998 Election, in Tanya's Electorate. In 1998, I voted Brian Langton - Seat of Barton. Voting for Tanya Plibersek from there on in was a no brainer. I think it was 2001,2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, & 2021 Easiest decision I've ever had to make.
Knowing what we know of today's present situation, it is very intersecting & mind blowing to hear Tanya's thoughts on Education & the Liberal Parties cutbacks.
Right now post-Covid in March 2023, we have a massive skills shortage in a lot of very good jobs.
The Liberal Party has caused a very serious problem, all they needed to do was listen & take notice of Tanya. Had they done that we wouldn't have the very serious skills shortage we have today.
Thankfully Labor is back in power as of 21 May 2022. Tanya is now the Minister for Environment & Water.
Now that Labor is back in power, we are now back in safe hands.
We've got Jason Clare for Education, Tony Burke for Employment, the Priminister Anthony Albanese, & of course the rest of the Labor Party working hard & smart to fix rhe massive problem caused by the Liberals.
This is good news but still it takes Years to Educate & Train People.
This Iterview is 2 Years old, which means had Labor been in power then we wouldn't have the problem we have today.
The Liberals basically made the polar opposite decisions at the worst time.
Well done Jordan. It’s been such a long time since we’ve seen an interview with a Labor politician-ANY Labor politician.
The other thing that has been done remarkably well is to create this envy in the community of people on welfare. like with the current job seeker keeper higher rates thing. People would actually prefer a worse economy than accept the fact that for a little while unemployed people or people on the verge of unemployment have a bit more money that they will put directly back into their local area. We would rather have places close down than see these people with money. Unfortunately because most of them still believe the propoganda that it's a merit based system where things will come to them if only the pesky foreigners and poor people would get out of the way and then the gods at the big end of town will lavish them with their just rewards

I get Tanya's argument on vaping introducing kids to nicotine, but the contrary argument is that vaping is excellent for smokers to move to to almost eliminate the harmful carbon that causes lung cancer from going into their lungs.
It ultimately comes down to the cost/benefit of Vaping long-term, to which we need to really wait and see.

My 2c on vaping. 3 of my friends who smoked a pack a day tried everything from hypnotherapy to patches. Vaping is the only thing that got em off completely. They then now moved to nicotine vaping, then normal, then stopped. I used to smoke when I was younger, quit successfully for 3 years, but every now and then would feel a strong urge to smoke.
