@@AS-wj1du I have met him. In Manchester England in 1985 after he performed on stage. I still have his autograph, one of my most treasured possessions. RIP Tenor Saw, dancehall legend.
I'm a white English kid who loves Tenor Saw and his music. My favourite reggae artist and the artist who I really started listening to reggae music largely because of. R.I.P., great doc, thanks for posting, peace!
His voice and music were/are still some of my favorite pieces of music. Definitely a part of my childhood. So sad that we have to miss out on all the music he would have made.
Mine too. I'm 52 this year. My cousin ran sound system, and sometimes from my home, so grew up on these tune. My brother truly thought he was the UK's answer to Tenor Saw (in his own mind, only 😆). May he be singing with that wonderfully unique voice, along with the angels choir.
He was very humble I had the opportunity to meet him when he was in Miami staying at a house I'm my neighborhood I was only 15 or 16. This was the time when he was playing at a big stage show called "Heat in the Place" many jamaican singers performed such as yami bolo when he was very young, supacat, nicodemus and a few others. The home was either owned or rented by a popular Jamaican name Skengdon.
Such a sad end to a young life, such a talented young man. May your soul rest in peace 🙏🏽 Tenor Saw 🙏🏽. Who ever murdered you I hope that, they are living torment.
One of a kind Mr saw....heard he was a kind hearted giver he and my uncle use to par wen tenor saw was hot. He and my uncle use to mess around sound systems in those times... My uncle was a sound man before he migrated to the USA in early 1987 one year before saw was laid to rest. Rip tenor saw 😭😭😭 sigh its so sad how u died
nice upload... somebody should put together a dvd of all these tenor saw live shows and release it proper... i would definately part with cash for that...
He was such a great Artist his voice was so distinct I love all his music sorry he pass away so young. First time seeing this channel God bless you on your work
The person who disliked this video should be investigated by the FBI. Why would you disliked this documentary? Why? I can't understand the logic. Tenor Saw is in my top 10 of the best Reggae artistes of all time. He a legend.
It really is unsettling how many of these reggae artists - and how frequently - end in such tragic demises. Also, how often they end up penniless when reggae is such a profitable, globally embraced enterprise and has been so for multiple decades. Curious.
I only heard of the name Tenor Saw today, I dont remember hearing his name before, however, I have heard all of these songs before. Great music, he has been dead over twenty five years ago, I am sad to hear how he died. Love these songs. Rip.
I agree. Listening to those who know him, he was a good person and always stood up for himself and others as he knew what he had been through to get to where he was. I'm sad he died, its not fair. But I believe his loved ones will see him again. May he rest in peace xxx
Life is one big road with a lot of signs... my favorite song of his. I had the vinyl 12 inch. He was hanging around Addie’s sound on Schenectady Ave, Brooklyn NY in the 1980s and where I met him. Back then, the crack and cocaine use were heavy and he was on drugs. He left for Texas and that’s when I heard he was killed. So sad he didn’t have the guidance and a manager back then. He had a son in Brooklyn they used to call “Nine-a-saw.”
Every sound clash,,, always banged this Kings dub plates,,, they used to make man's dem lick down wall's and speaker box,,,, Rest with the Best ♥️💛💚👊🏾✊🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

@@Wilcoranking I'm not sure they'd kill him for that. I heard someone who knew him talking about when he went missing and they were looking for him.
