I came last year July to Melbourne from SL to do my bachelors. Melbourne public transport is one of the worst in the world, Sri Lanka’s public transport is thousands of miles times better than Melbourne public transport. Quality of buses and trains are good but quantity sucks. Melbourne is a very car centric city like most American cities. Also New York and London public transport is thousand times better than Melbourne public transport.
I am yet to encounter a snake in Brisbane😅 after 2 years. I am living in the city though. I haven't seen any even in the Forrest/mountains in suburban areas
but in Uk, Austalia, Canada if you go to a emergency you will have to wait 3 to 4 hours to see a doctor, i saw a guy came in with big head injury and he had to wait with blood coming from his head .but in US its not the same they take you in immidiately. becauses its paid. Canada is the most expensive when it comes for rent & houses are way too expensive.

Average house price in Auckland is more than 1.2 million NZD. You can still buy close to 1 million in deep south or north of Auckland, but still a very small house may be 100 sqm.
